As someone who has issues finding the right fit, I have to tell you that I am totally happy with this shoe. Decent arch support and the wider width works perfectly. The first hike that I took wearing them was really comfortable. The shipping - even during this horrendous pandemic - was beyond amazing!

This was the third pair of this style of Merrell's that I have purchased. Just like the first two pairs, this pair was comfortable right out of the box. They are true to size and width with good support. When my new pair needs replacing, I'll order these again!

I have duck feet and typically need an extra-wide shoe. I ordered this style a half-size larger than my normal size, and tried a Vasque style at the same time. This one is definitely wider than the Vasque, so I'm keeping it and sending the Vasque pair back. If you wear a C or D width, I'd recommend trying Vasque or another style first, because this one might be too wide for you. I probably didn't need to order up a half size, but I'm keeping them anyway. They are, as other reviewers have said, wide all over, and my regular-sized ankles swim a bit. But I can deal with that by just lacing them a little tighter -- I'd rather do that than have my toes squeezed. :)

I purchased 5 pairs of hiking shoes to try on and chose to keep this pair of Merrell. These aren't the most stylish of the 5 pairs but these fit me best. I have worn them twice on short hiking trips and they are working out great. I have bad arches but I will be replacing the original insoles with green feet insoles. No break in period needed for me. The shoes are sturdy and are made of breathable material. I feel safe in these shoes whether I'm hiking on loose dirt or wet mud puddles. I wear 5.5 in regular shoes so I purchased a sz 6 for the extra room for thicker socks.

These shoes did not work for me, they had a very wide toe box which caused my foot to move around too much and they were on the heavy side. The Siren Edge waterproof was a much lighter shoe and better for walking, but they don't make them anymore. Still searching for a good winter walking shoe.

Wider fit than normal Moab and not as comfortable as merrells usually are.

The size was right but the arch support was in the wrong place, same on another pair of Merrell that I tried so it’s likely that I just can’t wear this brand. Also, the laces were so thick, it was hard to keep them tied.

I wear an 8-8.5B athletic shoe. I have a medium wide ball and narrow heel. Ths boot was not only bulky and clunky in style but it was too wide in the ball. In addition, the arch was hard and hit my foot forward of my own arch such that I could not comfortably walk. This boot gets great reviews--I was very disappointed. I actually checked the shoe to see if perhaps I had been sewnt a WIDE instead of a regular but it appears that I was sent the correct shoe.

I've had plenty of Merrells before and have loved them; however, this was not only too long but it had a deep toe box where my toes swam at the front of the shoe.

I was looking for a supportive shoe with firm soles for trail walking. They felt like everything I wanted when I put them on. Unfortunately, I have arthritis in knees and feet and within an hour I had terrible pain in my knees. No cushioning. Have to return them.

This shoe is enormous, like a man's shoe. I have been order Merrells from Zappos for years, always size 9M. These feel like 10W. Back they go.

I ordered two pairs of Merrell Moab 2 Vents, which have been my go-to hikers for eons. They're supposedly the same size (9-M), but I can't wear either pair. One shoe had a weird lump beneath the innersole of the left shoe. The other pair had a similar lump, but in a different area in the right shoe, making them unbearable even for a few steps across carpet. Had I done a blind fit test, I would never have known these shoes were the same style, or brand, let alone the same size. I am done buying Merrells, due to increasingly poor quality control and sizing inconsistencies.

Since birth, my feet have been a challenge--wide, small, over-high arches, and over pronation. I wear these in the summer on the farm, around town, and on the trail. I use powerstep insoles, which adds to the support for my foot problems. Because they come in wide, I can buy the correct length. This helps me not trip so much with my drop foot. The only other shoes I wear are Birkenstocks, as I don't like the look of hiking boots with skirts. My husband also wears both ventilator and waterproof simply because they are the most comfortable, protective, and supportive shoe on the market. Please, don't stop making Moabs.

Lightweight, comfortable, and cool for summer-weather hiking and long walks. The sole/base was perfect for pavement and equally stable over miles of lava rock. A great travel hiking shoe!

Love them! They took me up the Beehive Trail in Acadia National Park, and gave me confidence climbing the iron rungs. Incredibly comfortable right out of the box too.

The toebox is nice and wide so my toes have plenty of room to wiggle while I was hiking. I actually use the Moab ventilators to hike in Moab, Utah! When I wore thick socks my feet were very happy.

Comfortable low hiker for weekend haunts. I wouldn't wear for anything over 5 miles, but sturdy and supportive for hiking over easy to medium trails.

I have wide feet and am subject to bunions. It is a relief to not have foot discomfort determine how far I hike. Thanks for the big box!
