*** The shoe itself was NOT right for me. It is a HIKING shoe. Too heavy. Ashley , Team Member pointed that out. I returned it.

I love how Merrill’s fit my feet, but these shoes are horrid. They gave me plantar fasciitis. I have NEVER had that happen in my life. My foot still hasn’t healed. I don’t understand, as my previous Merrill Moab shoes were the most comfortable I’ve ever owned.

I am an avid and loyal Merrill shoe fan. I bought my first pair of Merrill Moab Ventilator (1) in 2009 and wear them exclusively for hiking and walking. When they start to break down I use them for gardening or biking. I was not aware that the Ventilator was redesigned in 2017 (as I did not need a new pair yet). In 2018 I needed a new pair for a hiking trip so I ordered the Ventilator (2) believing they were the same except for more choices in color and width. Sadly (distressed is a better descriptive) I could not wear the Ventilator 2 for even the shortest and easiest hikes. Perhaps the newly designed foot bed was the culprit that caused pain and burning (nerve) from the ball of my foot to the ends of my toes. I NEVER experienced this with the Ventilator (1), I could take them out of the box, put them on and walk out the door and hike for miles with no issues. If I would have known about the redesign, I would have gladly bought a truck load of the Ventilator (1). Now I have to start a search for "new" hiking shoes that last as long and are as comfortable as the Ventilator (1). Thank you Zappos for the easy return. Please, are there truly no Ventilator 1 left in the universe !?!

I have this exact shoe in a 7.5M and ordered it again due to wear and tear and this 7.5M is too big

This is a nice style, and fits well, BUT this baby squeaks with every step you take.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I have had several pairs of Moab 2's. These are nothing like the Moab's. They hurt my feet very quickly, and I tried several times to wear them around my house but each time they hurt. I have loved the comfort of the Moab's but the 2's are a huge step down. I am very disappointed.

I usually love Merrells but there is something weird about the fit. Sorry I can't be more specific but thank goodness for Zappos return policy.
