Ran a little small. Had to order 1/2 size up. Great looking. Not an athletic shoe or one that looks like you are going hiking.

I had a pair of 959s that needed replacing. This shoe is light, very comfortable and was an excellent alternative. I wear these shoes every day and they have felt perfect from day one.

I was trying to replace a previous pair of New Balance I had but I could no longer read the model number on the older pair and I think I missed the mark. This shoe fits true and comfortable. The color is much darker brown than I had expected and the shoes are pretty stiff. It doesn't seem to flex very much as I walk.

I've been hoping to replace my favorite New Balance 799 shoes. At the recommendation of the New Balance folks, I tried the MW769v1. They look fine and seemed like what I might want. A lightweight walking shoe. Unfortunately, the fit is just weird. I usually wear an 11-11.5 4E in New Balance (and have for years). So I ordered 11.5 4E. The shoes are too short and very tight side to side in the toe box area. I was wearing a fairly light weight sock. I doubt a 12 would fix the problem, so these will be making a return trip to Zappos.

I am one of those old guys who wear nothing but New Balance because their wide sizes make their shoes comfortable. This one is a disappointment. (Second one recently.) The shoes are clearly narrower than the NB similar model That I am trying to replace. The toe box is smaller, my big toe hits the front of the shoe. That never happened with other NB shoes of the same size. Ordering next size up, maybe it will work. I do like the style. I've seen similar comments about the size, New Balance, are you listening?

So I wear size 9 4E New Balance 623s. However in this shoe, it ran small, so I returned and tried the 9.5 and 10 4E, the larger of which felt smaller than my 623's and looked smaller too. Either these are using a different convention, or are 1.5 sizes smaller than claimed. So be warned, go for next size up.

I have very wide feet so I ordered 13 4E. When I opened the box they immediately looked too narrow. I actually thought that maybe Zappos accidently sent me the regular width. Turns out Zappos made no mistake and these are just frustratingly narrow. I put them up to my old NB 13 4E shoes (I have 2 other pairs) and found them to be about 3/4" less wide in the toebox area than my either of my older models. I may still keep them, because I am not sure there is anything better for us wide-footed folk.

I bought the same size as another pair if NB that I have but these are at leat one half size too small and not as wide. they are also thick, almost liek they are insulated, which will not be good walking or hiking shoes for Summer

Not real crazy about the changes that's been made to this style. The last pair I ordered were heavier and appeared to be made with better materials than these. These also aren't as comfortable as the older version. That being said my husband is still keeping them, he's just a little disappointed.

The top of the toe box felt too big as I could move my foot around quite a bit. I could curl my toes up in the toe box

took awhile to get used to size. Plenty of room but tongue does not cover, gaps show sock. why?? Also need to double knot shoelaces.

I have always worn New Balance and will continue to seek them out. Just wish they would make more of their shoes in the U.S. as those that were I've had in the past always fit the best.

These are ok. Not as good as other New Balance shoes I have had in the past. Quality seems to be going downhill.

These shoes are notably short-changed on the width of the tongue, which is very narrow. Does not even cover the top of my feet, when laced up.

The tongue is too narrow and my socks show through in the slots between the tabs for the laces. Not acceptable, will be returning. Also feels a bit short, my big toe is not comfortable.

I'm very disappointed in these shoes. I walk anywhere from 3-5 miles on weekdays, primarily on sidewalks, and tend to go through shoes pretty quickly. I bought these because they were well reviewed as walking shoes, but the soles felt like they were wearing out after two months of daily wear. Even worse, after 3.5 months the padding has started to break and is rubbing on the back of my ankle enough where I have a sore. This of course had to happen as I'm on a business trip and can't easily get a new pair of shoes. Overall, while they were comfortable for long walks for 2 months, these are just not good shoes for the money given how quickly they have started to fall apart.

The shoes fit OK and were comfortable for a few weeks. I walk 3.5 miles a day and these shoes like past NB shoes I've had DO NOT hold up. They are basically junk. The soles of these and the last two pairs of NB shoes have peeled off and had to use super glue to reattach them. This happens in less than a years time. I'm pretty much done with the poor quality of NB shoes. I've tried Rockport and Keen and they are both much more durable although Keen are not nearly as comfortable as NB.
I'd also recommend:
Rockport

Great looking shoe, but if you have a wide foot 4E is a tight fit. The footbed was to firm with no cushioning whatsoever. I really loved the look of these shoes, but all in all I was totally unimpressed with the workmanship. I have worn NB for years and it seems like the sizing is smaller than usual and the workmanship is faultering for the price you pay. NB needs to listen to its customers and pay attention to its craftsmanship!

The shoe is about 1/2 size too small the tongue is not wide enough to cover sock. If you wear white socks a little shows on both sides

I got these to replace the mens 759 that I really enjoyed and fit well for 3 pairs of shoes. Unfortunately this size d is like a b and the shoe laces are short too. Why do they stop making a good shoe?
