Everything about the Barrow Loft Banni yells tough and durable. Rockport designed the Barrow Loft Banni with heavy stitching across the toe box and around the shoe; it has thick laces and gripping soles. The Banni expresses a sturdy, crossover-casual masculinity. It looks reassuring and wears comfortably. The downside of the Loft Banni is the lack of porting or venting. Unfortunately, the leather paradigm is still driving the same styles and designs, despite the simulated leather materials now being used in shoes and boots. But leather breathes and sim-leather does not. The Bannis definitely do not. After my first 45 minutes in the Loft Bannis, my feet roasted. I have to kick them off immediately whenever it's appropriate. First chance, I'm taking them to a shoe repair vendor to install venting ports.

Ordered this shoe tuesday around 6 PM Eastern and it arrived noon Thursday-amazing. Great look, great fit and reminds me of another pair I had that was 3 times the cost, This is a very good looking, subtly understated and extremely comfortable shoe. Wear with or without orthotics and has become my shoe to wear most often for work

I bought these for my 22 yr. old son who must wear dress shoes at work, he walks several miles a day at work, must wear black leather with no color on the bottom that can be visible while walking, he said that after he put some decent arch supports in them, thank you Sol, they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, he especially liked the tongue area because it is padded - it really made the shoes more comfortable, and they look classy, too.

These are very comfortable shoes, but they are much, much darker than they appear. I have no idea where theory got the name dark tan. They are in fact and extremely dark chocolate brown.

My husband loved these shoes in 14 medium. Look nice, good solid sole, nice casual shoe for work. Plenty of room in the toe box for feet after a long day. Laces stay tied. I will order the black 14's when become available again.

My son actually found a pair of respectable shoes in his large size that he likes, I like, his father likes, that were a good price, and they were delivered fairly quickly. Zappos, I am one happy Mom. You have no idea, or maybe you do and that is why you now exist, how difficult it was to find just the right shoes in the correct size for a respectable price. You have got our business. Keep up the good work!

I have bought numerous pairs of these shoes because I liked them so much. Unfortunately, I believe something has changed in the manufacturing process, and I do not believe that these shoes are reliable anymore. Comfort wise, they are still great. But the durability has gone far, far down in the past few years. The last two pairs of these shoes I have ordered, the sole began to separate from the shoe. This happens on both shoes, not just the one, so it does not appear to be some sort of unusual stress or damage done to the shoe by tripping, etc. The first time it happened was after a few months. The second time it happened was literally after four weeks of owning the shoes. I wear them during the day and in an office environment - there is no undue stress on them. I really like the comfort of these shoes, but at the price I expect to get at least a year or two of use out of them. Falling apart after only a few weeks is inexcusable. Zappos was good enough to refund me the cost of my last pair, so I commend them for standing behind what they sold, I have no complaints on that front. But despite how much I've loved these shoes in the past, I can't currently recommend them given the now shoddy construction.

This is hands down the best pair of shoes I've ever purchased. They fit great, are very comfortable, and are totally versatile -- perfect for work or a night on the town. After owning them for one year mine are still in excellent condition, even after living through rain and snow and tons of walking!

I ordered this shoe in size 10 XW (4E). Unfortunately, it was still not wide enough - seems to run narrow compared some other shoes. Shoe looks great and feels great, otherwise.

Great quality. Color as expected. My go to shoes for plantar fascia/heel spur pain.

This pair is very comfortable, it's not so casual that I can't wear them to work, which I do. Looks good with docker type pants or jeans. Very soft inside, good support. I like the feel of most Rockports. Zappos delivery time is unbelievably great. Their refund policy is second to none, and their customer service on the phone is very good if you need to speak to someone. We don't even worry about ordering more than one pair to try different sizes thanks to their return policy. Not the cheapest price you might find, but reasonable. A 365 day return policy & they cover freight both to the house or on returns, are you kidding me? Zappos is one of the best companies I know.

I ordered these shoes from Zappos a year ago. They are everything they were claimed to be as far as comfort and looks go. I am the owner of 6 or 8 pairs of Rockport oxfords, and I spend all day on my feet. I would recommend them to anyone who is hard on shoes.

Love this shoe. Versatile is the word. Comfortable at work all day - and even into the evening. Good for walking too.

These shoes are even more handsome in person! I bought them as a gift for my husband and there is not a week that goes by that he does not comment on how comfortable they are!

Fits great right out of the box however for best comfort use a Dr. Scholls insert in addition to the insert that comes with the shoe.

My husband tried on about12 pairs of shoes (thanks to Zappos' free return policy he were able to shoe shop without leaving the living room). Due medications, his ankles swell by the end of the day. Every pair of shoes he tried on were uncomfortable except the Rockport Barrow Loft Banni. He is so excited because "they are the most comfortable shoes he's ever worn. They even accommodate his orthotics he needs for plantar fascia.

My husband is a 8 (4E) a difficult size to find. We purchased these and they are a perfect fit. A great comfortable/casual shoe.

This shoe is comfortable and sturdy. I don't worry about turning an ankle or slipping on wet surfaces. I've hunted this style shoe from this manufacturer for a while. Thanks for carrying them, Zappos.

I am happy with the shoe and pleased that a EE is actually wide enough. Don't get the shoes if you need to sneak up on people because they are noisy.

Just bought this shoe and they fit like a glove. 2 cans of Red Bull came with them which was a nice touch. Received them in 3 days. Thanks Zappos!

Ordered this product as a Christmas present knowing about the free shipping if needed to send back. Shoes fit perfect close to size and look very nice. They are well made. The recipient just loves them.

These are wonderfully comfortable shoes. The insoles are from Adidas and they definitely are tennis shoe comfortable.

Comfortable, very light shoe. I ordered my normal size 11, but they are too long. Re-ordered 10.5, that seems to fit better. Mid-weight socks. These are nice looking casual/dress shoes, feel pretty comfortable, much like wearing slippers perhaps? So far only tested in house, but comfort, good looks, and flexibility of materials would seem good features. Arch support feels a bit flat or moderate. I may have to try the dark brown (not suede) if I like this with normal wearing, will see.
