They smell awful! The shoes look nice and feel nice. The one problem is that the outsole smells terrible. A few reviews on the Rockport site mentioned this but I though "how bad can it be"? Well, it's terrible. Noticed it when I opened the box and hoped it would wear off. Nope. Tried cleaning the soles with soap and water, no difference. I've worn these to the office twice. Sitting at a desk funnels the smell right up at my face. Ugh. I've worn them, so I doubt I can return them. If not, I'll donate them somewhere. I really hate it because I like the shoes.

Unwearable - I've worn Rockports for 25 years - but this pair left my feet bleeding - an interior seam midway was the culprit. A defective product.
