Clearly, I received a pair of shoes that was not new. It arrived without a birkenstock box, unlike the pair I ordered a couple weeks before (but too big). This pair has obvious impressions and staining from someone else's foot. I've attached a photo (size 36). I compared to the 'too big' pair that I haven't returned yet -- super obvious difference. I've attached a photo of that pair too (size 37). Both photos are taken with flash on my kitchen counter.

The fit and size were right on. I'm a size 8 and size 39, regular width was perfect. However, the top strap began to hurt soon after wearing them. I've worn Birkenstocks in the past and was hoping to get a new style. After 3 days wearing them around my house, I could not bear it any more and did not want to overwear them to the point that they would be unsuitable for return. It seemed that it wasn't a matter of breaking them in but that the ergonomics were off for my foot. I like the look and feel of the footbed, but the top strap made them unwearable.

I ordered 39 Regular and they are perfect. I have many Birks and this is my perfect size. Granada Soft Footbed is the best!

This is my second pair. The first pair lasted 7 years so I was worried that it changed. I was happy to find out that they were still a great sandal! I love them! They do take a bit to break in so take it easy in them the first few days. I wear anywhere from a size 8-9 and the 39 fit perfect. Very comfortable footbed and I like that the straps can be adjusted.

I can always count on Birkenstocks to be the same size I've always worn. When I first began wearing this brand, it took a while to "break in", however, now it's only a matter of a couple of days. This particular style did require some time to become more comfortable but now very good. I like the fact that with the Birkenstocks you have the option of tightening or loosening the straps to give you an individual fit.

I have wanted a pair of Birkenstocks for a while now. Until ordering these, I had only ever tried on the Arizonas and felt that they just looked so big and clunky on my somewhat-narrow feet. I finally decided to try some of their more “feminine” styles and opted for the Granada and the Yao. I am typically a 7.5 and ordered a 38 Narrow in the Granada. It fit perfectly and was very comfortable! I started wearing them to run quick errands and never had an issue with comfort so I think that was an ideal way to break them in. The tobacco brown color has a worn/distressed look, which I personally like but others may not. It does make them more casual.

I wear a size 6-6.5 and ordered the 5-5.5 and it fit perfectly.

These are great sandals! I’ve owned birkenstocks in the past, and these are comfortable and stylish! I bought a size big because my feet tend to swell in the summer, but these do typically run big.

A lovely pair of Birks, and no toe thingy. I enjoy the comfort of Birks, after I've worn a new pair for a few days. At first, they're stiff and need a big of breaking in. No big deal. One thing I particularly like about these is that they do not have a thong between my toes. That allows me to wear them with socks, if the weather is a bit cool. Also, this style has a strap across the arch of my foot, toward my ankle. That keeps them from slap slap slapping as I walk. The styles that have straps only toward the front of the foot are stylish, but I find that they slappity flap when I walk. My personal preference is for this type. No one is every going to accuse a Birkenstock of being delicate and girly. But I like the openness of this style. And the way the straps come from wide anchors on the sides allows for support on this otherwise open shoe. I usually wear a wide shoe. The regular width fits fine. All good.

I have been wearing this style for 30 years and they fit perfectly. I have problems with pronation and one flat foot and they mold to my feet so that I can walk and stand without discomfort. This style looks cute with both skirts and pants.

2nd pair of these gems! I absolutely love the fit, and the soft footbed is worth the extra money for comfort. Great to wear with casual dress or even athleisure post-workout.

I just bought my second pair of Granadas, having worn the first pair as house shoes for nine years. I Love the soft footed. Although I usually wear a size 81/2 or 9, I like the way size 61/2 medium width fits me. They just hug my feet, without a huge overhang of sandal flopping around. I will wear these probably, for 9 years. The only drawback that I have found is that you cannot get them wet, or the cork footbed crumbles. Perfect house shoes, though.

Most comfortable Birkenstock’s I have owned. Love the look of the straps. They aren’t as heavy looking as some styles

Loved these straight from the box. The color was perfect and the style added interest. I usually wear a 6 in sandals and bought a 36 which was perfect. The soft footbed is key if you want to skip the break in period. Worth the money for sure!

This is my second pair of Birkenstock’s. I had my first pair of the Arizona’s for 6 years before they finally needed replacing. I was nervous about getting these because of the soft footbed. However I was extremely satisfied when pulling them out of the box and putting them on. I really like the lighter brown leather and the comfort of the soft footbed. I went up a size from a 10 (41) to an 11 (42) with these because my right foot is slightly longer than my left and they fit perfectly.

Excellent fit. I have a wide, high arched, hard to fit foot, and this style worked great!

My first pair of Birkenstocks and I am thrilled with their comfort. These are a size smaller than I normally wear and I thank Zappos for the ease of ordering and returning the other pairs that did not fit properly.

This sandal is beautiful. I normally wear an 8.5 and I ordered a size down. They fit almost perfect. I wish they came in 1/2 size increments. The soft footbed is awesome. The style is beautiful. I ordered this one and the Florida; the Florida was ok, a little more narrow, but the Granada looked nicer.

I have a very wide foot with a high instep & usually wear a size 11 wide. I ordered a 42 regular in the Birkenstock Granada & there is plenty of room for strap adjustment & the shoes fit my foot perfectly. I love the fact that the straps are leather & I hope they will hold up as well as my old pair of Birkenstock’s that I had many years ago. I would have rated comfort a 5, but they do require a little break in period; something I don’t remember from the past. They are a little stiff right out of the box.

Love the fit of these Birkenstocks! I have plantar fasciitis and Morton’sNeuroma on the same foot. The Birkenstock regular footbed feels better on my arch but the soft footbed is so nice! Love ‘em!

Beautiful sandals! My initial reason for buying them was travel because they can be worn for BOTH sightseeing AND with to dinners and evening activities requiring nice skirts, slacks, dresses. Result: Lighter luggage! Now I’m wearing them nearly every day at home also. As all reviewers have said, it takes time to break them in. Do NOT wear them for more than 3-4 hours a day for the first week. Best to stretch the break-in period to 10 days to give your feet a “day off” after the 2nd day, 4th day, etc. Trust me: It will be worth the wait. Fabulous sandals. I receive 2-3 compliments a day!

I have a small foot - 5.5 for most brands. The 36 narrow fits perfect. I like the small triple straps. It doesn't look bulky compared to the Arizona. The soft foot bed is softer than the original, but will feel a little stiff until it gets accustomed to my foot. I am recovery from a stress fracture, tarsal tunnel, & plantar fasciitis. This shoe will be a great help.
