Birkenstocks were recommended to me by my podiatrist, because I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I so wanted to like these shoes more than I do. They have great arch support, and standing still, they feel wonderful. However, walking through New York I find that they are so low at the back of the heel that my foot feels jarred with every step I take. I have the blue pair, and they are very cute. If I know I will be in a car then I will wear them, but as a walking shoe they just do not cut it for me. I would still prefer Naots.

Wow, I ordered these Monday evening and received them Tuesday afternoon, now that’s service, thanks Zappos. Birkenstocks used to be my main shoe, having lived in Germany I had lots because they have sooo many different styles, colors and patterns but for whatever reason I stopped wearing them probably 10 years ago. I’m back!!!!! I have terrible feet and need really good arch support so I thought I’d try the soft footbed, it’s amazing, while not the cutest sandals the positives far outweigh looks - I’m a convert and the Granada isn’t as clunky looking as the Arizona. I wear an 8 and ordered these in a 39 which says 8.5-9, fit is great and for my Morton’s toe I couldn’t have gone any shorter. I like the cut and they feel secure on my foot as well. I ordered Tobacco Oiled Leather which is sort of distressed looking in the photo but the box states Tobacco Leather which is a really nice, neutral color and not the mottled looking online pic. Overall I’m super pleased, wearing them on the carpet for a few days to break them in. While the leather is really nice and soft, the cut of the shoe and the arch support will take a little getting used to. Living in Texas sandals are a fact of life and I think I’ve found my new fav...will order Birkenstock’s soft footbed in the future, love them. Again, thanks Zappos for such speedy delivery.

I have boxy shaped feet, and this soft footbed style proved to be a little more accommodating than the original footbed Larisa's I also tried. I usually wear 8 - 8.5W, and the 39 regular was definitely the right size for the footbed features to match up with my arches. I also tried a 40 in the Larisa to try to achieve more toe room for my 4th and 5th toes, but it was clearly too big for the rest of my foot. The 39 in this style still cuts it close, But the soft footbed is yielding enough that it's not as intrusive and I think will break in alright. Other than that they are extremely comfortable - if they had a little more square toe box I'd rate comfort 5 stars. The regular width is perfect for those of us with "normal" feet by German standards.

Just bought this for the coming summer. I am a big fan of the soft footbed versions of their shoes. This is really comfortable, and a great color. It's nice to see leather sandals come out in interesting colors (not just the earth tones). I started wearing Birkenstock after a foot surgery last year, and their soft footbed versions seem to fit the bill. Since the surgery I just can't break in the firm footbed versions.

Having these shoes in black already I was happy to see them in dark brown and had to have it! A bit more stylish than typical Birkenstocks and very comfortable. I will say that I wear an 11 in normal shoes but find that a 41 (10-10½) fits perfectly in these shoes.

Definitely up to Birkenstocks standards. The footbed is softer than the regular Birks and this color is perfect for wearing with denim and navy. They do require a little breaking in which I am in the process of doing now.

I wear a 36 in Birkenstock sandals. 37N in Danskos. 7-7.5 in most other shoes. I love the style of the Granadas. The shade of the Tobacco color may vary with each pair. The size 37 I returned was noticeably darker than the size 36 which I kept because they fit better. Because my feet are a little narrow I have to use the last hole in both straps even in the 36. I've been wearing original footbed Birkenstock Arizona for 30 years (most comfortable shoe I've ever owned, especially with socks) and decided it was time for some variety. These Granadas feel a little like they will slip off, unlike the Arizonas, but so far they haven't. I love the soft footbed.

Zappos is so easy to order from. I love my new Birkenstocks. I will order again. This is where I'll get all my shoes from now on. Rose. :)

These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever found. They last a very long time as this is my second pair in about 8 years.

Very comfortable shoes. I wear a size 8-8 1/2 and the 38's fit good. I've been wearing them almost every day since I got them!

I love soft footbed Birkenstocks and these are no exception. Very comfortable (maybe not as much as the Arizona) but once you get them adjusted you forget you're wearing them. Did have a hard time finding the right strap fitting though and I do order the narrow). Last hole was too tight, next to last not tight enough. Ending up cutting a small self-stick foam cushion and placing under the buckle area; provided a little extra tightness and non-slip as well.

Finding a shade of red is always a challenge and these are a beautiful go with everything wine color. This is my first pair with soft footbed and it is nice but not necessary for comfort. The open work on this sandal makes it dressier although dressy and Birkenstock are concepts that are an oxymoron for sure. Also, I really need a 37.5 which isn't made, but even so, these are larger than my other 38s. I wonder if narrow would have been better because I am already on the last buckle hole. I would recommend these highly, nevertheless.

I bought these to help with my metetarsalgia. I need to always wear shoes even at home to keep my feet pain free. The extra padding is great for my fore foot as well as the ample toe box, arch support, and deep heel. These definitely help, but I never really liked the way Birks look. They make my feet look flat and wide. The cut outs help the style. I do like the blue color, but it bleeds onto my skin when they get damp. I would like them more if the foot bed was flexible.

I love the way these Birkenstock sandals felt on my feet. They were very comfortable, my foot stayed in place without any slippage, and the support was perfect for my sensitive feet

I discovered the Birkenstock soft footbeds a few years ago and they have become by far my favorite shoe. Very comfortable and the perfect amount of support; I wear them all the time. I wanted a more "dressy" type of Birkenstock, and this style with the smaller straps lends itself to being a bit dressier than some of the other Birkenstock styles. Note on the sizing: I wear a 37 medium in this Granada and the Arizona styles; typically I wear an 8 to 8 1/2 wides. The size conversion chart would tell me to buy a 39, but that is 2 sizes too big. The 37 is the correct fit.

Podiatrist gave me a list of recommended shoes to help my foot problems and as this was on it thought I would give it a try and the shoes are great! My foot pain has gone away since I started wearing them. Only trouble I had was with the size - I wear a 10 so I thought the 10-10.5 size would be perfect. Turns out that while that size was long enough for the longest part of my foot,the taper on the end of the shoe was too severe for my foot and my smallest three toes hit the upturned rim on the edge of the shoe. I tried the next larger size up which is 11-11.5 as there was no half size available. It works much better for me, but this is why I am not sure the sizing is true as I have tried 11's in other sizes and they are just so big that I can't wear them.

I love these sandals. I had another style of Birkenstock sandals (three narrow straps across)but the first strap was uncomfortable because of my foot shape (I have mild hallux valgus where bone protrudes slightly at base of big toe). These new sandals are perfect. The color (red) is fabulous. I ordered a black pair after receiving these and wearing them effortlessly for a whole day. They can dress up or down.

They're very expensive, but I'm guessing the cost per wearing will be low. They are so cute and feminine. Birkenstocks are always comfortable, but, with the padded footbed, they are even more so. Love, love, love!

These shoes are fabulous. This is my 4th pair of Birkenstocks. Years of foot abuse (running, flip flops, skiing, etc.) have left me with painful, sad feet. No more! These shoes are more stylish than my other Birks and the soft footbed requires very little (if any) break-in time. They look great with just about anything and are oh-so-heavenly on the tired feet! I would recommend these shoes to anyone. I normally wear a 9 shoe. I ordered a 40 Narrow and they fit great. Zappos never disappoints.

Perfect just perfect! I had surgery on my ankle twice. The Dr. told me I could wear Birkenstock shoes because of the support.

These sandals are comfortable right out of the box. I wish they made the soft footbed in the Madrid Birkenstock as well.

I got these shoes for my girlfriend, and I don't think she has taken them off since. They fit perfectly and are probably the most comfortable sandals one can buy. Expensive, but worth it.

You will love these soft footbed Birkenstock sandals. They conform to your feet and need no break-in time. Just comfort. And looking down at my feet, they look pretty cute. I will be buying more of these in the future. I know they're expensive, but I have bad feet, and they are worth the money. They are all I wear in the summer.

I've been wearing Birkenstocks for years but this was my first pair to have the soft foot bed. I bought these to wear on a cruise. It only took a few days to get them broken in. I did wear them on the cruise with no problems. These are the cutest and most comfortable Birkenstocks I've ever had. Im going to get them in another color. I might trying them with socks this winter. The size I ordered is the same size I've always worn. I love these shoes and of course Zappos is the best!

I have a high foot and the Birkie's do not have a long enough strap to allow for that. Even at full stretch I cannot buckle the strap. Assuming all Birkies have the same problem. But I love the shoe and feel badly that they don't allow more room in the height of the shoe.
