So disappointing! I have the exact same style I purchased a few years ago and wore them to death. The leather on my old pair was like butter straight out of the box. These are like cardboard, returned immediately. I saw a review that said the same thing and didn't believe it. Unfortunately, it was accurate.

Love the look of these! I had high hopes and really wanted them to work. A little more feminine looking than Birkenstocks. I am a current Birkenstock customer and will now return to them. The Mephisto is way over priced in my opinion, for what it offers. The toe loop is not fabricated big enough ( I don't have overly big toes either). I tried my usual sz 39 and also tried a sz 40 and BOTH toe loops I could barely get my toe into. When I finally did, it was way too tight. At $150 a shoe should NOT to be "broken in."

i bought my regular Helen size and this was way too tight across my foot to wear. alas, it went back.

I have had a pair of Mephisto Helen (not twist) for about 4 years. They're giving out, so I ordered the same size in this style. This shoe is way more narrow than my previous ones. I returned them and sized up hoping that would solve it - it didn't. The larger size was just as narrow. I have standard feet on the wider side, but never had issues with my old ones. I'm so disappointed in the sizing and the quality did seem worse than my previous pair. Going back to Birks.

I am so disappointed to be sending these back! They are comfortable and good looking sandals, but I had wide black marks across the top of my foot from the dye within about 10 mins of walking around the house.

I love Mephisto and own several pairs of their sandals. They really missed the mark on these. DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES UNLESS YOU HAVE NARROW FEET. I have "normal" width slim feet and in these half of my pinkie hung off the side. The shoes are LOVELY....stylish and comfy but darn it, look weird if Im not consciously holding my pinky in. Have to return. BUMMER!!!

These were way to small. Not sure what measuring scale was being used but these do not fit. Very disappointed. It’s like they run a size to small.

I just received this sandal and to my surprise was very disappointed in the fit! I own 10 others and all fit wonderful. Sorry Mephisto but this was a strike out!
