I originally ordered a 38 and the toe piece dug in so I tried a 39 because I felt I was edge to edge with the 38 and they fit perfectly! No more digging into my toe! I decided to order up one size in another style and am glad I did. Super comfy sandals with good support.

Color of the leather is somewhat darker than pictured, which is a disappointment, but the sandal is extremely comfortable and fits perfectly.

Beautiful shoes! It's a sad Mephisto doesn't make half numbers. I'm usually 8.5 so I tried the 9 and it was too loose, then I tried the 8 and it was too tight!

I love this shoe! I have several pairs of Mephistos and these are great! Zappos is great as well! Excellent customer service, fast turnaround on returns and purchases.

I'm thrilled! While my foot is a B width, I require sandals that are adjustable for a snug fit. The arch support is perfect for me and I can wear these for hours comfortably. These (I have the red twist style)are quite pretty and I get compliments when I wear them. I have 3 other pairs of Mephisto sandals and love them.

Purchased these in blue. Love the color, style, fit and comfort of these sandals! There was enough room for my big toe to fit without them feeling too tight and they look really nice. Very high quality. They were my first Mephistos and I am really impressed!

I love the Mephisto Helen series. I have them in several colors. I have a narrow foot, especially in the heel, with a wider toe box due to yoga. These shoes are so comfortable and very cute for Mephisto/Birkenstock style sandals. Mephistos have better and more cloudlike support than Birks. Every time I put them on, I go "Ahhhh." I like them in the lighter colors for summer (I have the silver crackle, the silver, and am getting the beige nubuck twist shown here).

Having owned two pair of regular Helen style in the past, I was looking forward to trying the Helen Twist. Arch support is excellent, as always, length was perfect as well. However if your foot is standard width or even wide, you'll barely be able to get these on unless you move the strap to its furthest point. Even then its snug. I don't know if going up a full size would help with the width so something to consider.

Good fit

I have had my Mephisto Helen sandals for eight years. They are my favorite sandals of all time. I decided to order the Helen Twist for something different. The fit of the shoe is the same, but the twist was not comfortable for me, particularly on my right foot. I am guessing that since the leather is braided instead of smooth caused it to rub my foot. Sadly, they have to go back. Guess I am going to stick with the regular Helen with the smooth leather.

I’ve had 37 and 38s in Helen, both fit my 7 ½-8 M foot. This 37 was WAY too small, very tight around my big toe. Footbed was just right lengthwise. This shoe style is smaller than the regular Helen. Not sure if I’ll try the 38. The color is nice tho. If you have slender toes and a narrow foot these might work for you.

Cute but narrow. I have a wide foot, and they were way too narrow. My daughter has a "normal" foot and even she said they were too narrow for her.

Nice sandals. Would work for narrow and possibly medium width. Thought the length ran a little short. I'm a birkenstock fan though, and ultimately I like those better.

I have worn Mephistos forever and find them very comfortable. But these we not. The fit for the toe was irritating--not sure if it was the twist or just the fit. I had to return them.

I wear an 8.5 and ordered the 9 (39) - typical for most sandal orders that only come in full sizes. I really wanted to like these sandals. They were just as cute in person as online. Unfortunately, my heel and toes were rubbing on the edge where it comes up and would have been rubbed raw had I worn these longer than an hour or so. I didn't want to go up to the 10 (40) because the shoe already felt big everywhere else. I have a narrow, high arch food and these were just not the right fit for me..

Quality of leather upper not what it used to be...feels more like vegan leather

Nice design, but returning because they are too tight across the braided part of the foot. Maybe good for a narrow foot, but not for mine.

Beautiful shoe design & color! Love the footbed & raised platform. However Mephisto's run narrower than the standard Birkenstock, so sadly having to send them back.

If you are used to Birkenstock’s, don’t buy these. Way too narrow and bought same size and width as I do with all my Birkenstock’s.

Too narrow

The big toe slot is too small, this purchase was to replace a Mephisto Helen sandal. I will be able to increase the toe space yet for the price and reputation of these sandals it should not have to this.

Color is really not pink at all - more of a pinkish taupe. I love how these fit and like the twist but the color was awful. Will be returning

All three pairs of sandals that I ordered were a failure, each for different reasons. but too stiff. This pair was the prettiest overall, but that said, they were also the most uncomfortable.

Loved these shoes, but they turned the top of my feet black from the leather dye within about 10 mins of me wearing them around our house. Returned them.
