This shoe gives me confidence to start an exercise program. Saying this after 9 months of physical therapy to recover from a serious vehicle accident.

I have bought this version of shoes the last few times I have bought new shoes. They are comfortable right out of the box, no break in, no sore feet for the first week!

Tried to order a men's shoe for my super wide feet. However, this one was too wide at the heel. My foot came out of the show while I walked.

Had these same model from GoodFeet store but they only carried to size 15. I needed size 16. Very comfortable

I have a wide foot, and the size 9-4E fits perfectly. This shoe is comfortable and versatile, good for the gym, tennis, or just walking around town. My only complaint is that the sole tread wears out quickly, in three or four months, but I like the shoe enough to keep ordering more pairs. I do wear them nearly every day.

I have been wearing New Balance for decades ( because I have 4E width). I recently developed plantar fasciitis in my right foot. My podiatrist was glad to see I wear New Balance, and he recommended I select a shoe based on stability and motion control. I chose the 1540v2 (with custom inserts from my podiatrist), and I could not be happier with this shoe. The comfort and support are exactly what I needed.

Had plantar and then started to jog with these several years ago. Tried others but these are still the best. Only wish they came in other colors as I've gone through the three colors they offer.

My podiatrist recommended the 1540 for Planters Fasciitis. When I called all they had was 1540V2. The customer service person was knowledgeable and helpful. She described differences with 990. However when I received them they were were a little small, I went to a local New Balance store that just happened to have the V3 in one size larger. They took the time to make sure the fit was correct and informed me about other options. However they could not return the 1540V2 for me. I bought the V3 and easily printed a return label from the NB website to send back the V2s. I'm now a very happy person with happy feet.

I have flat feet and am training for a half marathon and run 3 to 4 times a week. It's a comfortable, durable shoe and my knees feel great after running(which is not the case with other running shoes)

I wear athletic shoes 75% of the time. I bought my first pair about a year ago. My new 1540 are a different color and I love them.

I have neuropathy in my lower legs making balance difficult. These New Balance MV1540v2 provide great support on both sides of the foot. Fit and size are right. I also like that they are at least 70% U.S. content. These are my new favorite shoe.l

I wear full length orthotics and first bought regular width New Balance 1540. I find them to be too tight so bought same model shoe in wide width and they are perfect. My orthotic maker showed me how my Merrill shoes rock side to side and show creasing in the mid sole indicating that they flex when I step. That causes instability which I can't have. He referred me to this specific shoe. These don't flex and they don't rock side to side and continuing therapy after hip replacements I'm showing improvement.

This is the fourth time I have purchased this shoe for my son as it is a very comfortable shoe. The wide width and arch support are excellent.

I’ve used ASICS for the last several years but came back to New Balance because of the toe box being so accommodating. I was not disappointed the M1540’s are perfect!

I have been suffering from peripheral neuropathy which causes severe pain and burning sensation in my feet while standing or walking. I have tried other orthopedic shoes with little success. This is the first shoe that actually provides some relief from my discomfort. I can now walk without the severe pain. I also take alpha lipoid acid supplements that help significantly. I would highly recommend this shoe and also the purchase of the insoles for neuropathy.

Bought these for my husband and he feels they're very comfortable. Has usually worn New Balance M990V4 for years but these may be slightly better for his wider feet.

I used these shoes to referee soccer on turf fields. I have flat feet. These shoes are very comfortable and great to be on for hours at a time. Shoe runs about a half size large. I would buy again.

I’ve always loved the quality I get from buying NB. These shoes are straight up quality. Is it me or have most tennis shoe companies been trying to make tennis shoes lighter and with more foam materials. I just like how they used to be made. These shoes are just perfect for me. I’ve went through 3 other pairs before these and all three just felt like if I would run they would fall off. Except the 1 pair which felt like bedroom slippers and about as ugly as they come. NB have they shoe for me stick with the higher number for the best quality.

This is my forth pair of the 1540V2's and I love them. They are not cheap but I am on my feet a lot and they offer me the best feel and support of anything I have tried. I would highly recommend these shoes.
