If you are a serious walker would highly recommend these sneakers. Have been wearing this style for several years. Wear a 8.5 B. These are true to size with a high toe box. Truly a comfortable sneaker that has taken me on many long (over 15 miles) walks. Highly recommend to us "older gals".

I'm healing a bad case of PTTD (posterior tibial tendon dysfunction). This shoe was recommended by my physical therapist. It is lightweight and a quality walking shoe. I purchased black, which has a black outsole, so it's great for wearing to work with black slacks. Doesn't look like a sneaker. I found very little arch support, but was able to easily remove the liner and add my Powerstep Protech Control Pro Insoles (provided by my Podiatrist, but purchased additional from Amazon). They work great with my insoles. I normally wear a size 8 b. With the shoe's insole I needed an 8.5. With my over the counter insole, I needed a size 9 b. I have other shoes that the purchased insole doesn't require an extra size, so my conclusion is that this shoe runs very small. A nice looking!

The shoe runs small. I've worn an 8.5 for years and in this shoe, my toes are jammed into the front. Disappointed that their form has changed.

Originally bought a pair of these shoes in gray at a Foot Solutions store. Loved them and wanted a pair in black. My big toe on my left foot has always been a problem, poking a hole thru mesh style athletic shoes. These shoes solved that problem and also allow for the bunion on my right foot with the mesh on the side of the toe area. Win! Win! And...now I get longer wear out of my shoes.

3rd time the charm! Bought shoes for my 89 yr old mom. This is the 3rd one to try, but it is perfect. She has horrible feet with bunions, and hammer toes. This gave her enough toe space for her toe problems, and good arch support and keeps her foot from rolling over or out of the shoe. She had a very old pair of 847's and was afraid from the reviews that she would not like the 847v2. So glad we took the chance. It may be the only shoe she wears now! Very comfortable for her.

These shoes are very comfortable, and fit fantastically! My issue is that the shoe I got looks NOTHING like what is pictured! The picture shoes a white shoe with bright pink detailing. What I got is a gray shoe with magenta details. It's a good thing they're just for use on my treadmill at home, or they would be going back because they're so ugly!

After reading reviews that said this shoe runs small I ordered up a half size. Don't do it. I normally wear a 7 1/2E and ordered an 8EE and it was huge. Way too long. Plenty of room in the toe box and lots of room for my bunions though. Comfortable, but big and ugly are the best words to describe it.

The positives: These shoes take extra depth orthotics. They have a wide and deep toe box, and a wide forefoot. The negatives: The heels slip, even when laced on the last hole. The roll bar in the heel feels like stepping down on a lead bar with each step. The sole is quite stiff. Walking in them feels clunky.

I really like this shoe, a true double wide with a large toe box.

I am normally a size 8, but ordered an 8.5 based on previous reviewers comments. This sneaker fit perfectly, and feel like I'm walking on a cloud. I have not had the opportunity to do any serious walking in them, but plan to do so soon.

I now have size 10 wide feet and must replace my old shoes. I selected these for walking because of the roomy toe box, arch support, comfort, and narrow heel support. I have issues with plantar fasciitis and heel pain due to a bone spur, so I'm going to give these a chance for walking. They're not pretty but I hope they do the job.

I am very happy with the purchase of the sneaker. Very comfortable and nice looking. It also offers a lot of support for my feet. Got a 1/2 size bigger because I read the run smal.

I really can't praise these shoes enough. I'm a dog walker with wide feet and NEED a comfortable shoe while I'm on my feet all day. They are fantastic straight out of the box, no break in time needed. I love that they're synthetic and come in super wide width. They don't have a lot of arch support so I supplement with an insert but there is plenty of room. I usually size up a little for sneaker and get a 7 instead of 6.5 but found the 6.5 fit better. Have ordered many pairs of these and they never disappoint!

Nice sturdy shoe. Do not feel like it is as wide as I expected. The shoe is very soft and comfortable to walk in, tho I have not given it a good outdoor hike like I would in the summer. (it is too muddy for a good test yet). Would be nice to have this shoe in a color other than white. White gets dirty easy, and is not too exciting.

I was looking to buy an all black mesh/air flow pair of walking shoes to wear to work. For white I previously bought and loved WW928v2. I loved these, but unfortunately didn't come in all black. I found these. I usually wear a 8.5. They run small. I had to go up to a 9. They are comfortable, but do not have as much airflow as WW928v2.

I ordered the 10 W but it was too big. (the 9 1/2 W was not available). I also did not like the mostly white shoe. (too old looking!)

Love the comfort of these shoes! The generous width of the toe box in the WIDE size allows me to room for my bunions and hammer toe, as well as room for my Foot Solutions customized orthotics arch support inerts. I just had to remove the existing arch supports that come with the shoes. I've been wearing them all my waking hours for the past year and am now purchasing my 2nd pair.

I think I've finally found a replacement for my NB 840 v2. Tried the 840 version 3 but the sole was too flexible. The 847 feels rigid enough for my neuroma and arthritis in big toe. Like that the area at the big toe isn't mesh so my toe won't make a hole in the mesh before the shoes are worn out but the mesh on the sides allows the foot to spread out.

After trying several NB sneakers to find white sneakers for work, I still return to this style. All other styles seem to either squeeze my little toe and/or the sides of my foot. This is the only style that has room for my whole foot. It's also roomy enough to fit my orthotics.

Got these shoes in a 12 AA for my Mother. We had to order a size up. They support her well and they are comfortable. The service at ZAPPOS is great I had to return the first pair I got for her. Return was super easy and the new shoes appeared quickly and she is very happy. She is 91 and has severe peripheral neuropathy and flat feet the shoes help stabilize her when she walks and are comfortable.

This is my third pair of these sneakers. New Balance, by far, makes the most supportive sneakers. The look of the shoe is just ok...but who cares when you're getting all the support you need?

This is the first time I have ordered these shoes. I love them. They are comfortable, true to size, and have good support. I will continue to buy these shoes.
