These have much better support than the newer styles with cute colors and designs. I'm shopping around for a new sneaker brand (NB has really gone down hill in quality for the price you pay) that has good support but is still cute to wear on weekends, so for now these will do - I'll just stick to black.

I needed a shoe that would accommodate my orthodic and this shoe is perfect. I am on my feet all day at work and these shoes keep my feet feeling good all day. I have a narrow foot so these shoes would be far too wide if I didn't use the orthodic.

These shoes are too small. They fit like a size 8. I have worn them for a couple of days thinking I just needed to break them in, which I have never had to do with your shoes, but they just don't fit like a 81/2 shoe. I need to return and ask for another pair. May I try another 81/2?

I ordered the black and it is comfortable but dissapointed in the quality of the shoe for the price. I kept it because of the comfort and ordered another pair in the white and blue but the shoes were too short. I ordered the same exact size and black ones are longer than the white. I don't understand why their shoes are made so inconsistently. seems like a quality control problem or something else. Also this shoe has no arch support so I had to remove the liner and put my superfeet insoles inside instead

I wanted something with more airflow that would be cooler in summer and I was happy with that but really disappointed that the cushioning in the heel wore out so quickly. For the price, that should have lasted a lot longer, especially since I now have to replace them when the rest of the shoe is still fine.

These were NOT true to size -- felt at least 1/2 size smaller. Otherwise, they seem nice.

arrived promptly. looks nice, arch felt pretty good. i ordered a 2E width and it was roomy enough. My problem was the toe box was cramped, even on my non bunion foot the toes were pinched. I have ordered a half size up before and it doesnt work for my foot, what happens is the arch placement shifts with the higher size making the ball and arch support change for the worse. returned item, disappointed and after 3 in a row misfittings and returns im done with ordering shoes online, even if they make it easy to return, (excellent customer service here) its still a trip to the post office and time wasted.

This is the 2nd pair of these sneakers that I bought this year. Last time I bought the wide which got stretched due to wearing an ankle brace for a fractured ankle. So I decided to buy another pair in regular width (m). My ankle is no longer fractured. I like the sneakers. When I wear them people admire them. They are a nice looking sneaker. But for a M width I do find them a little wide. May not buy them again.

Wanted to love the shoes but the toe box was too small. I bought 1/2 size larger than I normally take but it still wasn't enough. I can't figure out this shoe maker. Pretty shoe but I'll have to keep trying.

The fit in v2 is about 1/2 size smaller than the the original 847. Visually it is noticeably shorter. Like the original it is shallower in the heel than some other models. This is a problem if you plan to wear 3/4 orthotics. This is a good summer shoe, the mesh is very cooling. Not the best for winter or wet weather. The toe box is fairly deep but somewhat tapered. If you need more room in the toe box try the 840.

Not a true size - runs short

As usual with New Balance, they change the styling on a perfectly good shoe and I must start all over again. The 847 was perfect for me but this v2 is not. It feels a half size too small with my toes hitting the end of the shoe. I also did not like the increased padding below the ankle and around the heel (which may have contributed to the too-small feeling); overall it felt too constricting. I returned it.

Runs way small.

I have always loved new balance and have never had any problems, but this particular shoe, while excellent in all other ways,has a heel that is too big and consequently rubbed my own heel. I don't think a different size will solve the problem, since the length, width, etc. are fine.

Version 2 fits differently than the original 847. I couldn't find a size that could replace my old 8,5. The new ones are too short, going up a size, too large. Buyer be aware of the fit difference in the newer version. I walk at least 2 plus miles every day in the 847's I own, but have not found a replacement for them and they are beginning to wear.

Runs small order 1/2 size larger

I wear a 9-9.5N. I ordered these in 10.5N, and they are still a bit short, but not enough to warrant returning. I am disappointed in the quality and inconsistency in New Balance sizing; they seem to be all over the place. Perhaps an indication of the quality control where they are manufactured. I will think twice before paying NB prices in the future.

Shoes ran a little short and a little wide through the toes for a narrow. Also thought the construction of the shoe looked a little cheap for the price.

No arch support and felt clunky on my feet

I have several pairs of NB shoes that fit fine with orthotic insert. This pair is decidedly at least a half size shorter than the others.

Toe box is too small - my big toe was crushed up against the front of the shoe. Other New Balance fitness shoes fit better than this one using the same size. I may have to order a size larger. The width was true to size and very comfortable.

These shoes wrap your feet in cushiony support. I am keeping them in spite of my vanity. They are stodgy looking but they fit my orthotics. Also, there is an annoying squeak but I will be wearing these at the noisy gym so that is not a deal breaker for me. This is not the first time I have had a support shoe from New Balance with a loud squeak, but I wore that pair for work and I tried different remedies to no avail. I wear my orthotics in other shoes and do not have a squeak.

shoe had a lot of cushion but was to narrow at the toes and the arch did not work for my foot. I ordered a regu;ar 8 and a half.The shoe store measured me for this size.

Other reviewers said to go up half a size, so I did. Too big. Also it has a big thick pad on the tongue and heel which I did not like.

Why not tell us what last you're using for this one? I had to return the first size and order 1/2 size up from my usual NB size because the toe box was too short at my big toe. Even the larger size has my toe scraping the inside seam where my big toe hits, yet the toebox feels too wide everywhere else. (I haven't had that problem with the SL-2 last.) Can't return these because I foolishly wore them outdoors before realizing what a problem the toe would be. I'm hoping they'll soften up with time; meanwhile, I wear them for short walks around the block with the dog. I don't have any particular foot problems other than trying to fit narrow feet.
