The faux fur lining got really hot and they hit at a weird place on my calf so they didn't look the best. That being said, I wore them throughout last winter and they held up really well.

Lovely boots, very nice leather and a great style. BUT wow are they wide. I mean, I have to order boots with a wide calf but you could put an extra leg in each one of these suckers.The foot part of the boot (not sure what you call it... the upper?) felt big too.

Well made boot in beautiful leather. Runs a bit big which is good for those like me with a wide foot and thicker ankles. The calf fits extremely well until you get to the top. The boot tends to flare out at the top in both the front and the back leaving an extremely wide gap and a very odd appearance. Very disappointing because the boot is truly wonderful in every other way.

This is a nicely-styled attractive boot but the Zappos description is somewhat misleading. Although the details include a disclaimer that the actual measurements vary according to what size you buy... (makes sense), there is no way to calculate what the variation is. I ordered an 11D and the details describe the calf measurement as 20". When the boots arrived, the calf was way too big at 23". Disappointing! It's very unusual for Zappos to let me down like this!

I wear size 12 and have 19 inch calves. I ordered a 13 because 12's were out of stock, plus wide width because I need to have room for orthotics. These were way too wide in the calf. Never had that problem before! Also, the top of the boot looks a little too velvety for my taste.

These boots were huge around the ankles but too tight around the calves with absolutely not stretch.

The leather looks cheap. Calf fit great. Sending back. Really wanted a pair of black boots. If the leather looked better I would have kept them.

Nice, fit my wide calf, but the zipper is almost impossible to move up and down! Have to manipulate, and after reading other reviews about the zipper breaking, didn't want to deal with that for $200+ boots. Sadly, I am returning

I bought these with such high hopes but sadly I had to send them back. Like another reviewer they just did not fit right. They were narrow through the ankle and way to big along the top. Being only 5'2" I went off the suggested sizing and because my calf is shorter the proportions just did not work for me. All I want is a pair of high boots that fit but at this point I will have to give up.

These boots are cute but WAY to wide in the calf. I looked like I was ready to be a swash buckler! They have to go back.

This is not truly a wide calf boot.

rediculously large. the calf is HUGE at least twice the size of mine which is by no definition small.
