My New shoes! I love the look! I knew that the comfort of these shoes were poor, that no fault of Zappos. the back ankle support hurts my heel, but I was prepared for the pain! I love the shoes! I only wear them to my shows.

These were definitely fake converse. I've bought many pairs of converse over decades and these weren't real. They didn't come in a box and both the styling and the fit were slightly "off" in a number of ways.

All was great except for the laces. They both broke upon first use! Had to replace, and hard to find the extra longs that fit...Thinking there has been a drop in quality of them.

I last bought a pair of Chuck's 5 years ago--black low tops, women's size 7.5M--and they fit fine, so after reading some reviews and learning that the sizing still runs big, ordered the new high tops a half-size smaller as well. Ouch! These are a full size too small, and way too narrow!! Thanks, but they're going back, and I'm going back to flip flops & Earth shoes while I rethink my "need" for Chuck's.

Kudos for style but horrifying for comfort. Got plantar fasciitis so bad within lass than a week from just wearing them for an office job that I literally limped for a week.

I liked the style of shoe but the fit was a a whole size to big! I decided to go with a completely different shoe after ordering two of these pairs! Perhaps they will work for someone else!! Just not for me!

These classic red converse were purchased for a Fourth of July outfit, they looked great, but I regretted this purchase within 1 hour of standing around in them.

We ordered these shoes for my 12 year old son to wear to school. He wore them for 3 months and the whole bottom of the shoe delaminated. That was disappointing considering the cost of the shoe.

The very first time I wore these, the Converse logo smeared like it was wet paint. There was no rain or moisture so I'm very confused. I wanted to add a photo here, but can't, but will say I'll be sending them back or writing Converse, as I'm very dissatisfied.

I wrote a review earlier but forget to check my stars. Also wanted to add that since NIKE to over and butchered a what was a good product that the canvas is also a lot thinner and cheaper quality than when Converse was making them here in America. NIKE has cut corners and built an inferior Chinese product with almost slave labor while reimporting back to America and selling at 100 times the cost to make.

I used zappos.com to find a pair of shoes for my husband for Christmas. I spoke with a young lady named Wendy who was so kind and so helpful that I knew right away I would make zappos.com my online shopping site. Not only did she find the item with very little to go on but had it shipped the next day it's under the tree now and I'm waiting for that excited look on my husbands face and it was all made possible by zappos.com and Wendy!

I just cannot wear these shoes. The have no arch support and little padding in the soles. I thought that if I tried different insoles I could make them work, but, I could not. There are also the new Chuck Taylor II shoes, with much more padding, and thicker uppers. I tried them, but they were too tight across the front of the foot, and felt too heavy and stiff overall. so, alas, no All Stars for me. I will return these as I did the CT's!

Zappos service remains outstanding, as always. Converse shoes are cheap and crappy and overpriced, as always, but we knew that before ordering. They are trendy, not supportive or comfortable or of quality that will endure. These were bought for an art/fashion project.

I know Chucks have a special place in shoe history, but let's face it, they aren't comfortable. They're like the male equivalent to high heels: you'll look good standing around, but you'll dread the idea of actually walking anywhere. If you really need a classic retro look, do yourself a favor and get yourself some Adidas, Pumas, or even some Vans.

I bought a pair of these with high hopes, given they are so popular. I was unpleasantly surprised to find they are so uncomfortable even though high priced. Hard to break in, no arch support and sole worn out with little use. I have used Merrel shoes daily that lasted years, these ones have holes after less than three months (only worn all day long in a few occasions). I was a bit naive and used them all day long when the day after they arrived just to find my fingers full of blisters in the end. Merrell Chameleons and Waterpro Maipo are a world apart from these for daily commuting, going out on a trip or general use. Women complain about using high heels to stay fashionable, even though they are a torture. Now I know how that feels but will not definitely go through it again. I really enjoy the looks but it is not worth it.

It was my mistake to buy Chucks as work shoes because they're just so uncomfortable. Of course their iconic shoes that have been around forever, but I would honestly never buy this style again. There is almost no heel support for these and after a while of standing and moving they're just painful to me. Granted for my old job made me stand for hours at a time I've never had so much pain in my joints from just one pair of shoes.

The sole is very thin so you really feel everything you walk on. The canvas uppers are a bit of a pain to get into. Look nice but sorry I got them - would have returned them except that I took a walk in them before learning how thin the sole is.

I\'ve been wearing these shoes for less than 4 months and already I\'ve worn the heel down to the point where canvas is exposed at the bottom of my shoes. I only wear them for going traveling to and from work so I put less than 5 miles\/week of wear on these things. It was wet out yesterday and water soaked through the exposed canvas and my heels got wet. This was my first pair of Chuck Taylors and needless to say they will also be my last pair.

Converse shoes are generally not breathable. They're the only shoes that make my feet stink and sweat. While stylish, I would not say they're functional. They are also overpriced.
