Had to buy these as part of my uniform for work and I'm not really a fan. They look good but have nothing in the way of support and require an insole if you're going to be walking around in them a lot.

These arrived as a Christmas gift for my son. The seam on the back of the upper on one shoe came apart on the first wearing. Zappos sent a replacement quickly, and the second pair seems fine so far. Kudos to Zappos for quickly making good on the purchase, but obviously the quality control for this shoe is lacking. These shoes run large, so it was useful that my son knew his size. They're typical Chucks-- no support, not much padding, but the look is good.

Always a shoe that can go with anything. Can take a good beating and last a long time. I wear a size 10-10.5 normally and could easily fit into a size 9! I recommend trying them on someplace before you order.

I love these shoes. I am not wearing these often as they are not doing any good to your feet and your spine, but I have taken 1/2 size bigger and have added a good Dr Scholl's sole to help a little bit. But they are so cool!

If you've ever worn a pair of Converse, then you don't need to read a review of the shoe. They haven't changed in 30 plus years. Zappos is fantastic! Two different shoes were ordered at 7 p.m. and were at my door in less than 24 hours without an additional shipping charge. Can't praise them enough!

Love these classics but, I want them to last a little longer! I buy these for my husband but it seems like after 6-9 months these shoes are in shambles. Is it just him? Does everyone have this problem? The price has gone up on them so much over the last decade only because they became so popular but the quality could have gotten better. Regardless, I will always love them. PS, always order a size smaller then your "normal" shoe size.

Let's face it, these shoes are cool, but they are not as supportive as contemporary running shoes. They just don't have the technology in-built. Yes they are comfortable enough--they are adequate, but they are not as supportive as my gel-technology running shoes. (They are however, more comfortable than my cowboy boots.) Nonetheless. I love wearing the same shoe (except in a larger size, of course) as I wore 40 years ago when as a kid I played at the local playground, I wore similar Converse high tops. Yes I am a bit nostalgic. I love "the look" but would prefer that Converse invest in adapting arch support technology to this "classic" shoe.

The shoes seem to be made of lighter, cheaper materiel. They are not up to Converse standards in my opinion.

New Soles - Not Good - I have not purchased a pair of "Chuck's" for 3 years. Since my last purchase they have changed the soles. Instead of rubber throughout they are using some other substance in parts. It is more slippery, but according to Converse (owned by Nike), the new soles are supposed to be more durable and longer lasting. For me, I use them for sports where I need the grip of the rubber, particularly on the edges of the sole. The new ones don't work for me. I am very disappointed. I hope they will go back, or at least give full rubber soles as an option.

Image is everything!!! My nephew wanted All-Stars for his 11th birthday. Black mono-chrome, very big with the pre-teen set. Couldn’t find them locally, than remembered Zappos. We went online ordered and they arrived in 2 days!! Later saw them at a local store, same price, (non-returnable type store I might add). Zappos beat them hands down. I often buy my running shoes from Zappos and will continue to shop here.

Same as it ever was - Cooler than ever after 400 years of the exact same shoe design. Sure, you can feel every crack on the concrete b-ball court back behind my tenement house, but they look cool. And remember, it's always better to look good than to feel good.

They're okay, but... I've been wearing these sneakers religiously for 15 years. I swore by them, they were the most comfortable shoes out there...like wearing slippers all day. HOWEVER, the past couple of pairs I've bought have been anything but comfortable. Still a cool shoe, but I think I've bought my last pair.

Cannot Let These Classics Go - The look is good, the style is good and overall the grade is decent or good. However, you will be wise to invest in “ProFoot 2oz. Miracle Custom Molding Insoles.” These are better than regular “Dr. Scholl’s” insoles. In order for these insoles to be effective, order your normal size or one and a half size bigger for wide feet to implement these big boys. These insoles take up a lot of space and if you order a full or half size lower than your normal size your feet will be cramped with the insoles.

Sizing problem - I have found that Converse's unisex sizing is not true to standard sizing. For example: I wear a ladies 8 1/2 and I had to order a man's 5 1/2 (which according to Converse is the equivalent of a ladies 7 1/2) to get them to fit. Also, the cute patterned fabrics and colors do not even come in the smaller sizes so women can wear them. I doubt many men wear these jazzy colors, so why not make them in ladies true sizes???

Good shoe crappy price - These are really good shoes. But they used to cost a lot less like a year ago, what happened?

Classic Shoe - I ordered these for my husband for his birthday he has been wearing the white converse for over 25 years. Unfortunately the pair I ordered was a mismatch. Although they stated they were a 10 1/2 which he has always worn they did not fit correctly. I was very pleased with the service I got from you guys when I called to see what I needed to do to exchange them. I will continue to order my shoes from you!!

Converse All Stars are ok - I got a pair of these shoes for Christmas and they look really awesome! The problem is that they have no arch support and they are not good shoes to wear in cold weather. It's January and my feet about froze (I’m exaggerating)! I love the old skool feel though.

Pretty Good Shoe - I just got my first pair of Chuck Taylor's. They look great and are fun! However, they are somewhat uncomfortable because the bottom is just flat like all basketball shoes. Walking in them for a long time is difficult without experiancing discomfort. Because they have absolutely no arch support, I had to put arch supports in and therefore, the shoe hugs my foot pretty tight. Suprisingly, this feels pretty good. They also have no support higher in the ankle. Overall, they're a fun, very cheap shoe that need you to modify them a little bit for good arch support.

Poor durability and occasionally painful, but sharp. First of all, they're All Stars, so they have the 'classic' look down. Of course, they're ubiquitous, so if you want to be 'different' either get an atrocious color, or get something else. Something pleather. But still, they ARE classic, and for a reason: they look good. It isn't because they're comfortable, they aren't. They were designed in the 40's or something, so they don't benefit from all the new fangled shoe comfort designs. They have zero arch support. Unless you have low arches or are flat footed, expect occasional discomfort from these shoes. They also lace tight around the middle of the foot, and are fairly narrow as it is. On numerous occasions I've had to stop walking and rub my feet. I think it's putting too much pressure on some of the bones around the middle of my feet. I don't have wide feet, these are just narrow shoes. Also, don't expect these to be your 'everyday' shoe for very long, they wear out fast. The first thing to go in mine was the inside fabric at the heel. I started noticing a 'squeaking' sound (my foot rubbing the rubber on the back of the shoe) with every step after about a week or two of wearing them. Now (after 5 or 6 months), most of the fabric of the sole lining has worn away or come loose, especially at the heel. The rubber at the back of the toe part is starting to rip. I expect them to last another 2 to 3 months of casual use, which is very short lived for a shoe (or maybe just the types of shoes I wear). In summation: they're not very comfortable, and wear down pretty quick, but they look good and are VERY inexpensive.

Converse is my favorite shoe company, but these Converse don't last. They're comfortable and everything, but after 3/4 of a year of daily wearing, they started to rip at the heal and fall apart inside. They don't compare at all to the old Chucks.

A Classic - Love the look of the shoes but they do get uncomfortable quite quickly. If you buy a pair, buy some athletic insoles! I've had my All-Stars for less than 6 months and the outersoles are already coming apart! Plus on style, negative for comfort and durability.

Hi tops - When I ordered these and the low tos, I thought that they would be entirely different in color. But I couldn't make a decision between the two so, I kept both. The color scheme on website was misleading

Desription doesn't fit - I purchased the black "monochrome" Converse Chuck Taylor hi-tops. I took monochrome to mean that they were all black. When they arrived, I found a large Converse logo in white on the heel that was wasn't in any of the pictures.

The classic converse look is here. As a clown I was looking for an eye catching shoe that would be big looking on my foot. This does the trick! I will have to wear an arch support as this shoe lacks the support that modern athletic shoes have. But I will be one sharp looking clown!
