I usually go up half a size to a 9 for running shoes. These in a 9 were really small - sent back and ordered a 9.5 but did not yet receive. I bought the green, thought they were black but actually gray but I still like the style. i had a pair years ago and couldn't find them anymore. I'm hoping the 9.5 fit like the pair I had years ago.

This shoe fit like a glove. It's a minimalist shoe but for me it felt like it had a little bit of arch support because of the way the shoe is molded. In comparison to the inov-8 barefoot shoes, I prefer these. I ordered a 7.5 but it felt more like a 7. I kept the shoes. I like the way they fit.

I had to order 1 full size up. But that is no problem when there is free shipping and returns, I just sent back the first pair and ordered another. I have to say they are so comfortable. I have problems with my toes and it is so hard to find shoes that don't hurt them and press down on them. The fabric of these shoes moves with my toes, so NO discomfort. I wear these shoes every day at work and have no problems with discomfort like I do with other shoes. I ordered my first pair a few months ago and decided I better order another pair, then found them to be $30 off when I went to order, nice surprise!

I adore this minimalist athletic shoe. New Balance for the WIN in supplying 'wide' option. Bought two pair and don't regret it one bit.

After dealing with foot problems for 2 1/2 years I’ve begun working with a kinesiologist with great results. One of his recommendations: new walking shoes. He raved over these NBs and he said the Brooks I had been wearing were like casts, not allowing my feet to move and heal themselves. He advised me to start wearing these once I reached a point in my recovery where my feet had gotten stronger from the corrective exercises I was doing. He also told me to stop wearing my orthotics: like the Brooks they didn’t allow my feet to move naturally. These NBs feel like socks, which is wonderful. Unfortunately, like socks they’re not warm but my kinesiologist says for the times I’m out in the cold—not often because I live in western WA—wearing winter boots is fine. Since these NBs are minimalist you can wear them until you run out of tread: with the Brooks I had to replace them every 6 months to retain the support built into them. My wallet is very happy with the NBs!

I really like the Minimus! Bought all three colors! For about 20 years, I've mostly worn Dansko clogs at work and Birkenstock sandals at home. My happy feet slowly spread out, and they don't like regular shoes anymore. I recently decided to move towards "zero" shoes. I like a shoe that is flat, low to the ground, spacious in the toe box, and shaped like a foot rather than shaped like a shoe. Used to think that I needed lots of padding, and arch support for my flat feet. Now, not so much. I'm enjoying feeling the ground beneath my feet, thanks to the minimal soles. Don't seem to miss the padding, and the arch support works well with my Birkenstock-trained feet. Normally, I wear an 11 in regular shoes and a 12 in athletic shoes, regular width. The Minimus 12 WIDE fits my foot perfectly, with either thin or thick socks. I tried the regular width and it was tolerable but snug, and didn't work with winter wool socks. As others have said, the "wide" is not particularly wide, especially since the band over the top of the shoe is snug. I very much appreciate that New Balance makes some shoes in women's size 12, with both regular and wide widths. Being tall and declining to wear men's shoes, I don't always have lots of options. BTW, I still have a pair of shoes that I bought years ago because they were leather, they fit my foot, and they were comfortable despite lack of padding or arch support. Turns out they are Minimus, size 12. As a bonus, the new Minimus is relatively nice looking and I received a big compliment the first day I wore them!

These shoes feel marvelous, my feet are comfortable in a way that feels natural, supported yet not overly constrained. I love the look. I have a wide foot, particularly in the instep, high arch and overall tough to fit foot in many styles. These feel so right I may order more to assure I have them in the event this shoe goes away. I am a wide-footed woman who loves Zappos. Such a relief to avoid loving shoes and trying them on only to find they are too narrow. Love being able to filter the search by wide.

This is my fourth pair of NB Minimus. Love them. Very minimal, so ease into them gently if you're new to minimal shoes. Very comfortable for my wide forefoot and narrow heel. I'm normally an 8 but take a 9 in these.

Even though I am returning these shoes, I sure wish they had worked out. It's a great "minimalist" shoe - the color and quality are up to par with New Balance. They were too small (length), but I need more support than this shoe provided.

Thank you, thank you, thank you North Face! It has taken literally weeks for me to find 'barefoot'-style running shoes that are not cheaply made with only the trendy 'breathable knit' fabric uppers, combined with zero toe reinforcement. The toe on this shoe is very well-reinforced, not only with a 3/4" sturdy vinyl margin, but double-stitching across the big toe zone (see photo). Zero heel chafing is also a major plus. Read the reviews & ordered a 10.5 /half size up, & they fit beautifully. Ordered another pair / different color today. Beautiful running shoe!

These shoes are the best! I am so glad that NB brought them back. They run a little small and tight - usually wear a size 8M and I bought and now love them in a size 9W. So comfortable and lightweight. I can wear them for hours and walk miles and miles.

This is my 3rd pair of the NB Minimus. It's so hard to find a shoe with wide width that doesn't look like it was made for an 80 year old. I adore the all black style but I can't find it in 8W anywhere. I ordered the purple since it's the least loud. I don't love the color. I wish I could find the all black pair again, I'd buy several pairs to make sure this doesn't happen again. I wear this shoe to work where I'm on my feet all day, to the gym, walking my dog and hiking. I'm crossing my fingers they get the all black back in my size soon!

I love these shoes. I bought them last year and felt I might like a size large for longer runs or hikes in the summer. This year I ordered 1 size larger and the wide width. Oh my goodness I didn’t think I could love these shoes any more than I did but I love the extra room on longer trip and especially on the down hill.

I have had these shoes in the past so knew I needed to order a half-size up. Thanks to the other reviewers who mentioned this. I'm not a runner but use these shoes for training in the gym. An experienced trainer first recommended them. They provide great stability for weight lifting and other training activities. So glad they're back. I can't recommend them highly enough.

These shoes are awesome so far ... I was a little nervous at first that they would be too snug, but as I've worn them around the house they fit like a glove. So comfortable ... I can't wait to give them a try on the trails.

LOVE!!!!!! I bought these with me on vacation without even wearing them around the house first. I had a unexpected opportunity to golf, and these were all I had. They were great!!! Hot sun, no socks, NO blisters, no sore spots... Just comfort! The grip is also amazing. I had to climb up on some rocks and they really hugged the ground. Also great walking on gravel. Love that they are almost like not wearing any shoe at all ...and they grey+green color is so pretty. NOTE: I bought wide based on previous reviews. My heels are narrow, but I need a generous toe box. Typically wide is too wide overall, so I usually buy a larger size reg width). I wouldn't classify as a true wide, but they were made for an athletic foot!!!

I have severe bunions that can make shoe shopping a real challenge. A friend recommended these to me and I have to say they are fantastic. I was looking for a light weight trail shoe for hiking and these fit the bill. I usually wear an 8.5 wide ( if i can find them), but for hiking I get my shoes a size up to accommodate thicker socks. I love these shoes! One warning however, if you are not used to them i don't recommend wearing them all day, because they are minimalist shoes, they may bother your back at first if worn too long. New balance warns about this with the literature that come with the shoes. they have been great for me though and now I can even go barefoot sometimes, which believe me for my feet that's a is a big deal. I've had them about two months now and love them. For summer hiking I'll never go back to bulky shoes, I like to feel the trail under my feet and my bunions are so much better for it! I'm 5.7 and weigh about 140.

This is my second pair of these and I absolutely love them. They do have a unique fit and are not like other sneakers. I am not a runner so I can’t speak to how they are to run in. I usually wear a 9.5 in New Balance and that is the size I bought. They are the closest thing to going barefoot while still wearing a shoe. I love the purple trim!!?

I was looking for a lightweight shoe with a wider toe box and grippy soles to replace my old Vivobarefoots, so I ordered a wide and I love the fit!! I wear these for walks up and down steep hills in the city and for day hiking.

I have loved this shoe for ever. I just replaced a pair that was seven years old, way past it’s due date. Any other shoe feels like I’m wearing mud on my feet, they are so heavy and bulky. I love the minimal shoe, just enough protection to protect my feet.

Love these sneakers. This is my third pair. I don’t use for trail running because my trails are too rocky and rough. Great for gym, running on a track or walking in the streets.

I love these shoes! Going to order another pair ! I ordered same size but had to return to get the wide size. I have a narrow foot but the medium was just to tight.

This is my fourth pair of these minimalist shoes--I buy them a half size bigger than my normal size of 7M, and they feel and look great. For me, they are comfortable out of the box--I put them on, adjusted the laces, cut off the tags, and went out and did errands. I love the "barefoot" feeling. These are not for people who need a lot of arch support and padding, but I don't have any foot problems, and I walk miles in these shoes. I wore out two pairs, and my third and now fourth pairs are different colors--just for a change in my "look."
