I wanted to love these, but they cut across the top of my foot at the ball, where the scrappy thing goes across. I ordered wide, but can't wear them. I would suggest ordering up a width, particularly if you have high arches, or going with another brand/style.

Ordered half size up based on other reviews. Size was perfect with socks. Wouldve been a perfect fit and super comfy had that plastic strap thing at the top not been sewn in there. Sewn on too tight so it squeezed the top part of my foot below my toes. Could tell it would dig into my foot once it swelled and got hot. Wouldve been a perfect shoe otherwise, but sadly have to return them bc of that dumb strap.

I can say now that I use to love these shoes a few years ago in 2011 when I first bought a pair and got rid of them after many years. So I repurchased them at a different website because they were on sale there with a coupon. But I have to be honest I bought the same pair and holy sh*t these are very fitting shoes. I ran in them for two weeks and gave me blisters! I thought well instead of running in the shoes I decided to take them with me to Osaka and Kyoto for walking around. Bad idea. within minutes my feet were aching in hopes that maybe it would get comfortable after 10+miles a day sight seeing. I hate these shoes so much. It hurts so bad everywhere... I am a nurse and can handle foot pain but Jesus Christ! Horrible shoes. What the hell happened? These use to be so comfortable...

I love the ORIGINAL fit of these sneakers!! I have two pairs from around 20 years ago that I still wear. BUT... for some reason they altered the design of the shoe and made them REALLY narrow!!! I am a size 8, and I tried a size 8, 8 1/2, and 9, but they were all too tight where the piece of leather goes across the top, which happens to fall right at the ball of your foot. There is also ZERO arch support, and I could not fit an orthotic into either of those shoes. Not to be deterred, I sent those back, and ordered an 8 1/2 and a 9 in WIDE width. The 9 fit my foot, but again, there is ZERO arch support!! I tried two versions of 3/4 length orthotics, but the toe box ends up being too tight. I tried the orthotic that I wear in my 20 year old pairs, and again, the toe box becomes too tight. I am so bummed! Why oh why did they make them so dang tight????? I would have bought every available color, but alas, I had to return the wide ones as well. All I can say is, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!"

The shoe LOOKS cool and has a comfortably wide toe box. I understand what it means to have zero heel to toe differential and minimal support, but I DON'T understand why they would make the footbed with GROOVES that dig into the bottom of your foot! There are also some weird hard bumps built into the shoe on both sides of the heel, as well as near the instep. Just awful - built-in discomfort before you even move.

Was excited about these shoes style wise but just ended up frustrated with New Balance's varied definition of "wide". Have some NB shoes where the wide is just right, and then others where even the men's wide is super tight. Seems kind of unusual to have that much variance within the same brand.

I really wanted to like these shoes but they are not wide enough for someone with wide feet. The design strap over the front/ top part of the shoe makes it a lot tighter than a wide shoe. Too bad - design flaw.

I ordered a size 10 (my true size) and they were short. My toes totally hit the end. I have other New Balance shoes and they are true to size. I then ordered a size 11 (first time ever) and my toe still hit the end and the heal slipped. Did not feel that it had very good support. Totally disappointed because I really liked the style. Just wasn't meant to be.

The band that goes across the arch is confining and negates the fact that it has a wide toe box. had to return

Was very excited to finally find minimalist trainers that were "wide". These are not wide in the least unless "wide" now means "narrow". Would love to find a pair of minimalist shoes, or really any decent looking trainers that come in wide sizes that don't look like something mean for a 90 year old.
