The Sombriolet Sun Hat has a nice wide brim which shields the face and neck. Combined with the SPF rating and air vents make it the perfect hat for even the 100 degree days in the Arizona Desert. It is a little pricey, but worth every penny. The fit is exactly as the size chart described.

I have grown to love this hat. I've hiked 100s of miles in it and even jogged in it. The vents become effective with a slight breeze or when you are moving briskly. Where the adjustment cord attaches to a loop is a great sport to hang this hat off a small carabiner.

Great design and very comfortable. This and the Seattle Sombrero (which is perfect for cool rainy conditions) are perfect for hiking, walking, and working; combined they protect you in almost any weather conditions you are in.

Does what you would hope, I now have three of them in various colors just because I love the hat so much. If it is sunny out then I grab this hat, whether it be mowing the lawn or going on a walk.

I have extremely fair skin and a larger than average head. This hat covers my scalp completely, provides shade, and allows me to enjoy outdoor activities without getting a sunburn.

Sure it looks goofy but it keeps the sun out of your eyes and off your neck. I've used it rock climbing, paddle boarding and at music festivals. It is light, dries very quickly and vents well.

This is by far one of my favorite hats for working outdoors here in Florida. I am an Environmental Scientist who is almost daily in the heat, humidity, and sunshine. The hat fits my head perfect. I would definitely recommend buying the OR Sombriolet Sun Hat.

Bought this for my trip to Bogota, Colombia, to visit friends. They live near the Equator and when the skies are clear the sun can be very intense. I thought this hat would be perfect for protection against sunburn. HA! I unpacked it from my suitcase and left it in plain sight. It soon disappeared. The next day we left on a field trip to the lower lands northeast of Bogota. When we got to our hotel my hat reappeared. It was in the duffel bag of the youngest member of the family (11 year-old girl). She thought it was a great hat that looked great on her head. The next day her aunt was wearing it and the following day her grandmother was wearing it. I believe grandma now has possession. I had no idea that I should have purchased four hats!

All four of us loved this sun hat ! It was a perfect fit and very comfortable for our purposes. It also looked nice on and in our photos which was surprising. We recommend this hat for outdoor sun use. Our primary use was for a few very hot days at the Grand Canyon and wearing the hat made a huge difference.

Covers your face very well.

I use this on my kayak trips, in the yard, and on hikes. Great sun protection and has a good fit. The chin strap is often needed on breezy days.

I wore this everyday in Yellowstone and it completely protected my face from the sun. It made hiking so easily enjoyable. Very comfortable and the sizing is accurate. It held up pretty well in the wind too.

I've gone through several iterations of sun hats and this is the best! Great ventilation (and I swear A LOT). Brim is wide enough to cover all exposed skin ( I'm a PNW'er and I burn easy). Also looks pretty good so win-win and would recommend.

Wanted a good sun hat that will hold up in the wind. Looks like a well built hat and fits well, excited to see how it holds up for the summer.

As I've gotten older I've stopped caring what other people think of what I wear. Now it's all about function. But luckily this hat not only functions fantastically, it also looks great on me. I put it on and I immediately notice a temperature difference. It is light weigh, plenty of vents for breathability. Also the brim is large. And casts a good size shadow. I've already washed it and it keeps shape after washing. If you have a top loader be mindful of the string it can get caught up. But that's the most minor of dings. Drys fast too. Get this hat you will love. Who cares what people say.

This is a great sun hat. Fits perfectly

I bought the hat to keep the sun off my face and neck while hiking. It fits comfortably and my head stays cool. I use it for hiking, but it has also become my dog-walking, gardening, and lawn mowing hat. I added a new use yesterday, it replaced the velvet academic hat I would usually wear at commencement ceremonies, Per Covid- guidelines we held our graduation ceremony outside, in 86 degree weather with a nice bright, un-occluded sun shining directly down on everyone. I wore my medieval robes and my Sombriolet. It looked, different, but there it is, another use for the Sombriolet.

Fits great and it lightweight. I like that there is a tiny bit of reinforcement along the brim edge so that the hat can be positioned and not be too floppy. The red is not red, though. It is more of an umber.

Perfect fit. Lightweight. Protective. Super comfortable. This hat is a great value and a must-have for summer.

I bought this hat to wear around the lake dock and kayaking. It has been awesome! Super light weight, dries quickly and comfortable.

It makes me look like the flying nun, but hey... The brim is nice and wide and indeed does the job. Would for sure recommend.

I wear my new hat when I sail rc sailboats and fly rc airplanes. The most comfortable hat I've ever owned and provides the shade I need. I use my old Sombriolet sun hat to work around the yard.
