NB is really getting annoying. I have the exact same shoe in blue/white, so bought this black/white one. It's a full size bigger than the other pair! This is the 2nd time I've bought a second pair of the same model of shoe and it was a completely different length.

I had to return them because the support/logo on the outside of the shoe dug into my foot

Looks nice... but... I have been a size 11 for about 40 years. This pair says US size 11 but feels like a US10. I have to return it.

Frumpy looking shoe that's not very comfortable for the price. They look like boats on my feet and I'm returning them.

3rd pair to try. I'm in a 4e 10 women and they told me to do 8.5 2E which of course were way too small.

Very nice shoe at a fair price, but with two limitations. First, it has a wide heel and will slip off your foot if you have a thin heel like mine. And second, it gets a little hot because of the more covering rubber bottom.

Rubber on bottom started to peel away after about 3 days of running. Zappos took care of it.

Too light in color for me. They weren't wide enough either. Very snug

Had to return these. They were fine for running, but if I wore them for anything else, my toe would rub up against a very rough spot on the inside of the toe box. My toe and the front of my foot became swollen. I contacted New Balance and explained my concern. Yes, I understand: they are only for running. I get it. Not their fault. My fault entirely. But occasionally one is in a situation where one wants to do something else besides run (stair climber, hiking, fitness class, etc.). So, if you see yourself doing anything other than running in these, I would not buy them. I have been loyal to NB for years, because they have widths, so I am not happy to write this review.

After years of wearing the 940v2 I thought I'd try something a little different. Big mistake. I wore these for an hour and ripped the skin off the top of my foot from the seam edge between the upper and the tongue. Just not the shoe for me at all. Size 10.5 EE nice and roomy toe box. Back they go.

New balance used to be great shoes. These, however, didn't seem to hold up at all.

I was pleased with the my purchase. I even considered buying another pair. I am now having second thoughts after discovering one of the shoes tread is separating from the sole. the shoes are only 10 weeks old and are primarily indoor work shoes that get little abuse. Very disappointing.

Length was longer than prior 840. Quality fair, not the usual high standards I expect. Ex: the "N" was glued on not sown on. Felt my big toe would pop thru the top. Never had that problem with older version. forget the foreign made parts unless you supervise the products better.

I liked the style but these ran a half size long and felt too wide through the arch. Seemed designed for those using orthotics.

Love the shoes, so comfortable, but they don't last!! 230 miles later my tops are worm out. Mine are only 8 weeks old and I have serious blowouts. Can't afford to keep replacing them every two months. No more New Balance for me. So sorry!

There is something wrong with the current 840v3. I have been buying this same shoe for several years but on the current pair the part where the last shoe lace hole is on the inside of the left shoe is too high. It cuts into my ankle bone causing pain with every step. I have tried putting blister padding there but it does not work.

I've bought new balance sneakers for the last 15 years. This is the worst pair I've ever had by far. After just a few weeks, the liner on the inside started to peel off, and after 6 weeks it was completely broken and the shoes were unwearable.
