Unfortunately, this shoe was an incredible disappointment. Given the Birkenstock sandal comfort feel, especially the soft footbeds, this shoe has been the most uncomfortable shoe for walking I have ever owned, and at this price. Worn on a shore excursion this summer, it felt as if I was walking almost without shoes. There is no impact absorption in the sole and the cork in the footbed is minimal. I am not sure my feet have ever hurt as bad as the day I wore these. I am not a fan of walking barefoot and even my twelve year old Halfinger slippers feel better than these shoes. I agree it is a cute shoe, but was not worth the foot and joint pain I endured as a result. It's a hard unsupportive shoe that did not work for me at all. I have not worn them again and wish I could return them.

I bought these shoes with the intent of wearing them to work during my third trimester of pregnancy. I was a bit on the fence about them, but they do have good support. It turns out they're not working well at all for my purpose - the rim of the toe box (on top of the foot) is low and cutting into my flesh when walking! Yikes. And I'm not even swelling yet. Sadly, I don't think they would be comfortable even if I wasn't pregnant. Disappointed in these Birkenstocks, especially since they were so expensive!
