Unfortunately these seem to run shorter than the usual Birkenstock. Since I already wear a 42, there was not a longer one to try. I do like that it came in narrow, as that worked better for a low volume foot (ordinarily I have to wear 2 thick pairs of socks with a Birkenstock). The style was cute! Would look good with both jeans and skirts.

Super cute shoe! The foot bed is not as great as the one used in the sandals. The shoe wasn't comfortable for me. Huge cute factor though.

I really wanted this shoe, but I have a very narrow foot (10 1/2 AAA and they were just too wide and bulky for me.

I loved these shoes! Wanted to keep them so bad, but they were a tad too short! My toes were rubbing the tip of the toe box......wish they had a size 42 R OR 42 N !!! So sad I had to return!

Cute shoe and dressy enough for the office. I agree with the other reviewers that these fit differently than traditional Birkenstocks. I don't recommend these for lengthy walks. I walked a mile to the train station and had blisters all over my toes. I will definately get a lot of use from these as work shoes.

Love the look of this shoe but had some "pokey" seams. I worry that I would get blisters. Could be just this shoe but at this price point, I don't want to risk it. Worked well with my orthotics though.

Typically I have no problem with any of the Birkenstock shoes in my size, but for some odd reason the left one is a size smaller than the right on this pair. For other purchasers: oddly the shoe looks bad out of the box but once it's on your feet, it looks really good. (Mysterious optical illusion I have not figured out). I'd exchange for a pair to see if I could get one with the same size on both feet if there were any pairs left in my size.

These shoes felt tight, so I recommend ordering a half size up. I love my Birkie sandals, but these shoes don't have the same support. The sole feels too thin, I need more support!

Didn't love the style of these shoes, and the top of the shoe rubbed against the top of my toe.

I loved the look of the shoes, but with feet that swell the strap didn't adjust for that and the top part of the shoe cut my feet where they swell. So if you have this problem you won't be able to wear the shoe. So I had to send them back. I was very sad because Birkenstock is about the only shoes I CAN wear. I loved that they finally had some pretty, dressier shoes.

Very well made. Probably the best made of the four others I tried that are similar in being maryjane styles (Naot Kirei, El Naturalista coral, Taos ta dah, Clarks unhaven strap) But they have such a large toe area, almost a spatula look to them. Not sleek enough a look for me.

I have Gizeh and Bali and both were bought in a size 38. I also bought this in a size 38. I returned for a 39, since my big toe was hitting the top of the shoe. I suggest you go a size larger for this shoe. It also could be that the sandals are open as well. If I get a larger size sandal they tend to be too big and floppy. I have not a chance to really walk around in these yet. So far so good.

I should have believed the other reviews that the support was different than other Birkenstocks. The box says they have the original footbed, but they do not. There is no toe bar at all, the thing that I need the most for my foot problems. Why isn't it there? Without the standard footbed, they simply aren't Birkenstocks to me. I will be returning them.

I have PF and these hurt my feet. I've heard you need to "break in" Birkenstock's but no way could I put up with how they hurt to find out if that would happen. Couldn't tell if they were short or big toe was just rubbing on inside top of shoe. I vary from 9.5 to 11 depending on style of shoe or boot. It is a cute shoe.

Obviously well-made, but not shaped in the toebox for my feet. Very disappointed.

I had to return these shoes for the same reason as another reviewer here. They looked good and felt good (and thank you Birkenstock for the great style!), but the right and left foot were sized differently! The soles were the same size, but the upper parts (especially the toe box) were so differently put together that they ended up fitting as if they were a whole size apart (and this was visible to the eye when I held them up to compare the two). One shoe was absolutely perfect and an answer to all my shoe wishes, and the other was impossibly small. I could not make it work, though I tried. The smaller shoe pressed down hard on my big toe. It was a quality control issue. I exchanged them and had the same problem again. I also bought a different style of Birkenstocks, from the new collection, and had the same problem again..., but that time on the opposite feet. First style: the right was smaller. Second style, the left was smaller! I made these purchases when the new line came out, well over a year ago, so hopefully by the second half of 2016, Birkenstock has addressed the quality control issue. I really love this design, so I hope Birkenstock posts something to let customers know that the quality control issues were resolved. I bought mine directly from Birkenstock and had zero problem exchanging and returning them there. All that said, I still recommend these cute shoes and think it would be worth it to give them a try, as the quality control issue may now be resolved, or you may get a pair that don't have that crazy problem. And, they're easy to return. And worth it. The one thing I hope Birkenstock will do with this line in the future is make the cork at the ball of the foot just a tiny smidge thicker for a little more cushion and durability. But still a cute, attractive design in a supportive shoe.

Based on the reviews I ordered a larger size in hopes that the Iona would work for my difficult to fit feet. I wear a size 34 "open foot" ("normal" or "wide" depending on who is describing it) in the Birkenstock Arizona which I have worn daily for over 30 years (it is my "house slipper" and I replace them about every five years). I tried the Iona in a size 36 and 37, the smallest available at the time I ordered from Zappos. Neither worked for my foot. The footbed of the Iona is different from the footbed of the Arizona. It is much narrower. Even the size 37 was too narrow for the widest part of the my foot. The toe box is short in height and my big toe felt squished, pressure coming from the top. Surprisingly, the arch placement fit better on the 37 than the 36, though the length of the 37 was too long. My heel came out of the shoe. Style-wise, the Iona looks nice.

Birk shoes always run a size smaller than their sandals, but these run even smaller than that in both length and width. Plus the shoe height (the shoe itself, not the sole) is oddly shallow. After trying 3 sizes, I finally just gave up. I think these are meant for people with really, really low insteps.

First, there was no packing at all. Just two shoes in a box. No stuffing to hold the shape and no information about thew shoes. Nothing. The outside box is a Zappo box but inside was a plain brown box that said the item was repackaged due to the original box being damaged. Not sure how the inside box could have been damaged with no signs of damage on the outside box. Then to the shoe. Never had a more uncomfortable shoe in my life. Rubbed pretty much everywhere. Can't really say it didn't fit but certainly did not fit right. The arch seems to be in the wrong place? Terrible shoe.

I wanted to love these. Birkenstocks are about the only shoe that can work for my high arches and plantar fasciitis right out of the box. I ordered my usual Birk size and these shoes chewed my feet up. I had raw, bleeding spots all over my feet by the end of the day. I agree with the other reviewers that they run a bit narrow and small. It could be a size up would help but I think the narrow toe box is a problem.

I also really wanted these to work! But, the footbed is narrower in the regular size than other Birks, and the toe box is smaller. Also, they are smaller overall--I had to go 1 size up from the size I usually wear in Birks. Very disappointing! I will be returning them.

These are well built shoes but they run small. I wear a 10½-11 and my toes contact the front of these shoes in the 11-11½ size. I hoped for a design that fit but this was not the case. Unfortunately, a larger size is not an option which, quite frankly, puts a frown on my face. I am having a lot of challenges trying to find shoes that fit and are comfortable.

I've worn the same size in Birkenstock for all of their shoes. This is the first time a shoe has been too small. The next size up was enormous. I kept wearing the shoes, hoping they'd eventually stretch out to no avail. These may be the only uncomfortable birkenstocks ever made. I've only worn them a handful of times as they're just too uncomfortable. Expensive mistake.

I so wanted to love these shoes, but they are going back. While they did feel good just standing in them, they were not comfortable to walk in. They ended up causing blisters on my heels from just trying them for a day. They seemed too stiff. The styling is so cute. I wished they worked.
