I have bought these boots for all of my children, and they last, their feet stay dry and warm even in snowy slushy cold. I took them out to play when it was windy and 17 deg F and their feet were still warm an hour later when they came in for hot coco. They still look new after heavy use all Winter and Spring. I expect them to last as hand me downs for my younger kids. They all have wide feet with high arches and the fit great. I always buy 2 sizes up, but they cinch down so that they still have sure footing. Also the width is still good when they've grown into the toes.

I got these boots for my 6 year old son and 2 year old daughter. Both put their feet into them and didn't want to take them off! I got them in size 3 for my son who wears 1.5 and size 9 for my daughter who in the fall was size 7 (I wanted to make sure the boots will last through the winter while wearing warm socks!). The larger size was not an issue for either of them. One of the reviewers mentioned that the boots are too heavy. They are heavy, but it didn't deter either of my kids, even my slender daughter. These boots were just what I was looking for: they are easy to stuff any pants in because of the flap at the front that can be opened wide, and at the same time they can be tightly sinched at the top to prevent snow from getting in. They are not 100% waterproof above the rubber bottom. The snow gets bunched up at the front behind the velcro strap and the boot gets somewhat damp there, but it didn't bother my kids, and they seem to be warm and comfortable in the boots. I'm definitely buying more for next year!

Lost their waterproofness in the middle of the winter. Socks and feet soaking wet.

These were a good "wide" fit, ordered the same pair my son again this winter since he's gone up a size. They lasted him an Alaskan winter and kept his feet warm and dry!

I have a tall slim 9 yo boy, who does not have wide feet, but the last 2 pairs of insulated snow boots we tried in normal width Size 6 have been too narrow for him (Kamik and Columbia). So I was interested in trying these Tundra boots because they came in Wide. Yahoo, they fit right out of the box and he loved them, said they were soft and comfortable inside, and he loved the camo print. So hooray, we found boots that he's happy in! We live in a Colorado ski town with freezing temperatures and snow 5 months out the year, and another 6 weeks of spring mud season, so waterproof insulated boots like these are a daily essential just for outdoor play and recess at school. Happy kid, happy mom! We'll probably buy 1-2 more pairs before next winter.
I'd also recommend:

This style of winter boot is the only kind I will ever buy again, the rubber toes make it so that your children’s feet stay dry all winter long!

I'm a female in my 40s and a 'big kid' at heart - and in these boots. I love them. I purchased the 6W Big Kid, and they fit ever so comfortably on my size 7WW-7.5WW Women's size feet. They are so comfortable, warm - and easy on/off. I can't believe I've lived in New England all these years and never thought to order myself a pair. They look and feel sturdy, and I hope they last for awhile, but if not, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair. My last snow boots were Bogs, and cost a lot more.

Couldn't get my son's foot even into the boot. Way too small even though it was supposed to be a wide width boot. Had to return

These are great, wonderful looking boots but they just did NOT work for my grandson whose feet are wide. We had already returned 3 other styles because he couldn't get his foot beyone where the bend of it goes. The same thing happened with this pair despite being the only online boot in a WIDE size. I feel that there should have been a break where the rubber first meets the upper part, and then maybe a wide-footed child could have placed his wide feet into the bottom of the boot. I was already ordering UP TWO SIZES so I was crushed that my little guy could not get into these boots! Someone making these should try them on a real child to see how they work (OR NOT!)

3 pair purchased. Great for Minnesota winter. A bit on the heavy side, but warm & no complaints from the kiddo. Wished they opened up a bit wider at the top, especially since all the velcro & toggles help to secure them on the foot

Terrific... We took a trip to northern Maine in December, and my 2.5 year old was happy for hours in the snow in these boots! He walks well in them, I'm able to get them on/off him, and they feel very good quality in my hands.

These boots are for my 4-yr-old grandson. He LOVES them!!! They're easy on/off and the tread is great quality. He'll surely be able to pass them on to his little brother!

I order these boots for my older son every year, and my younger son gets the hand-me-downs. Sometimes I order a size up so that he can get 2 winters out of them. They are comfortable, sturdy, easy to put on and take off. The velcro strap across the top of the foot, the velcro tab on the side/top, and the toggle drawstring at the top all contribute to a secure fit, even if the boot size is a little too big. They keep my son's feet warm and dry. My boys tell me they are comfortable and easy to walk in; never any complaints with these.

Perfect fit for my wide footed son. He can wear a thick sock and it’s not tight. He likes the style too.

The fit was great. My son has a chubby foot (its thick) and I was to get his foot in these perfectly. I really like that the liner does not come out. The inside was soft and seem like they will keep his feet warm.

Absolutely love this brand of winter boot- it's all we buy for our kids and we live through MN winters. They last all season long and keep theiir feet warm. I love the double velcro straps - one at the top and one at the ankle. It makes it so easy for them to put on themselves and get their boots nice and tight. The only thing is that the lining isn't removeable so you have to buy a boot dryer.

These work well and we were going to get another pair this year but we actually found a waterproof hiking boot that fit him for the first time ever.

My daughter has been wearing Tundra boots every winter for a couple of years. She requires wide shoes and I'm so thankful Tundra makes wide boots. These boots are rugged, easy to put on, relatively warm, and really well made. They are also not "overly heavy" given how substantial they are. This pair (black with the spider webs) looks just as well made as past pairs and the spider detail is pretty cool looking. These boots are a great deal for the price.

If you have a big boy who plays as rough in the winters as he does in summer, you should buy these boots. I bought them a size larger to make sure I could get my money's worth by getting at least two winters out of it, and I did. They not only lasted 2 winters, if they still fit, my son could have worn them next winter too!
