Love the look but no arch. It’s super flat. Their shoes are getting flatter than ever. They used to be more supportive with this type of last but not anymore.

Beautiful sandal. I love the style and the leather straps are butter soft. Sadly, there is a serious design flaw. If you have a high instep and/or larger ankle and must use less than the entire hook and loop closure, the strap on top of the foot buckles and refuses to lay flat no matter how many times you try. And I did try. I so wanted this to work out.

I bought a pair of Taos sandals last summer, and the support was great but the straps kept loosening, so my feet would slide around. I tried these hoping they would fasten more tightly, and they do. In addition, the way the straps are placed keeps pressure off the outside edge of my feet which is so sensitive it hurts in most closed shoes and many sandals. Also, though I usually prefer a raised wedge heel, these have such supportive arches my feet don't feel tired in them, and the insole is so well padded I don't hit the ground hard. Taos sometimes runs small. I took advice from other reviewers and sized up, going for 10 rather than my usual 9 1/2. They fit fine.

I ordered one pair of these sandals in 8 and one in 7. My true size is 7 1/2. The 8 was sloppy and the 7 was a little short but works for me, so I kept these and returned the 8. They are very comfortable and look nice on my feet. I am very pleased with them.
