The velcro straps initially were so hard to detach that my five year old son could t take the shoes off himself. Now the don't stick at all. I would not purchase these again. We've had them for a month and a half.

The white sole on side of shoe started breaking apart and falling off with minimal usual use. My son loved design and the Velcro strap work well. Not sure if ours was defective or this is a problem with the shoe in general.

My son needs extra wide shoes and we usually have difficulty finding ones that fit him well now that he has aged out of Stride Rite. But these extra wide ones work well for him
