I've ordered these shoes a number of times (w940v2). Absolutely love them. They take care of my pronation problems also.

These are the most comfortable pair of sneakers I own and the absolute best for walking long distances, standing in line and grocery shopping. The mesh in the top helps your foot to breathe and not get too hot. I have issues with my feet— arthritis, a neurons that was removed and a bunion. This style was recommended to me by my podiatrist and she was spot on! We live in the country on a farm and these are good for walking on the uneven ground in the pasture as well. They do fit true to size. I was buying a second pair to replace the ones I wore out. Unfortunately, I need a wide width now due to bunion so I ad to return this for the width. My mistake!

I overpronate and this shoe is perfect and I love the color combination. I wear an 11 extra wide in most shoes, but an extra wide in this shoe was way too wide so I bought the 11 wide. I ordered the grey and coral shoe from another website because Zappos was out of my size. I love New Balance and Zappos.

These shoes felt good, but the depth was not enough to comfortably accommodate my orthotics. After placing the orthotics in, my heel would come completely out of the shoe when I walked. I even tried using the locking heel method of tying which works with one of my Brooks pairs.

I bought the XX width Found them very comfortable. I'm glad they came out in a different color.

These are my second pair they are great. If your an overpronator these shoes will work great.

I have very wide feel with a wide toe box, finding shoes that are wide enough and comfortable is challenging. These shoes fit the bill. They are wide enough in the toes and very comfortable. Love them. Wish they came in more exciting colors.

I live these sneakers. Felt comfortable from the first moment and the arch support is terrific. I like this 990v3 version better than the v4!

2nd pair of W940s bought for my wife after years of buying Brooks. NB feel is supportive, comfortable, wide enough through forefoot and toe box. Only complaint is that color selection is not great for women. Five starts on comfort and fit. Three stars on style.

New Balance is my go-to athletic shoe. I wear a 9 in everyday shoes, and 9.5 always works in New Balance. I have bunions, so I take EE in width. The NB toe box is the only one that is wide and deep enough for me to wear comfortably. I can lace them up to provide the room I need near the front and yet not slip out of the back. The mostly-mesh upper is a real plus too as it provides some give around those darn bunions. Thank you New Balance. And thank you Zappos! My orders always arrive quickly, are accurate, and returns, when needed, are super easy. I don't know how I'd find EE shoes without Zappos!

True to size. Excellent arch support. Extremely comfortable. Highly recommend. I keep buying this again and again. This is my fourth pair!

I order 1/2 size larger with any New Balance shoes. I love the comfort of this sneaker. It makes my sensitive, painful feet feel wonderful and I can walk for hours in them with no pain, plus no pain at night when I try to sleep. This is my second pair because I loved the first so much. I just wish they came in other colors--and in a white.

From the first time wearing shoes they were comfortable. I wear orthotic on one foot and a AFO (foot brace) on the other foot. And they fit in shoe comfortably. I am happy with sizing and comfort first time out. I have a lot of shoe issues and thus style so far works!

Love, Love, Love these shoes, will likely buy another pair. I did remove the foot pad, which as foot pads go was a pretty nice one, and replaced with my arch support. My feet are happy!

This is my third pair of this 940v3 shoe (in different colors). I love the fit for my feet which require stability and good arch support. The fit and style are perfect in my opinion. I wish they would come out in new colors!

I need extra support in the arch of my feet and this shoe provides that. Very comfortable. I can walk a long time in these.

I stand for 8 hours on concrete for work 3 or 4 days per week. I bought this shoe at the New Balance store since I felt it was time someone helped me with getting a shoe that actually worked. I am a size 8.5 B foot, but I got a 10D in this shoe. I bought a size 8 New balance sandal today, too. So don't assume your normal foot size will work with an orthotic or with a foot issue. I have been wearing orthotics (the ones the doctor had made hurt worse than the others I have purchased) and my knees and hips, sometimes ankles were aching anyway. It didn't seem to matter what shoe I got. So my shoe size is smaller than this shoe because I have an extremely sensitive right foot that needs more room or it hurts. I have a bunion from a broken toe on that foot and my second toe is longer so I have the problems that goes with that issue on the ball of my foot. We tried the New Balance with the orthotics and the right foot was not comfortable. So he put me in the 940v3 because they have the arch stability already built into the shoe so I don't need an arch orthotic. However, the insole does come out if you must wear them - but if you have this shoe try wearing them without your orthotic. Then he added the New Balance Pressure Relief insoles (which can go in any shoe - no arch) just wonderful cushion (# IPR3020). And voila - I will update you but I believe I will not be in pain during or after work tomorrow. It has a great roomy toe bed. I tried the 9.5d and the 10 was more comfortable. I would never have figured this out on my own. So If you are still having problems go to the New Balance store and find an expert. I will be ordering this shoe in black and blue plus the extra cushion support form Zappos for the future, since I know what works now. BTW - I had no idea there was such a thing as a stability built in shoe for people with problem feet, overpronation, or arch issues. New Balance has more than 1 style-this style worked best for me.

Love these sneakers! I usually buy sneakers on sale and never pay over $60. But after returning from a Disneyworld vacation with sore feet, I decided to look for a properly fitting sneaker. Went to a running store and they recommended this shoe for me. It has great support and a nice wide toe box. I usually look for sneakers with a wide width. But with the generous toe box, I only order a B width in this style. Worth every penny!

I am pleased with the fit of the New Balance W9403v3 shoe. I had previously ordered the 1340v3 because I liked the color better and thought it would be more supportive for my flat foot that is also pronated. After I wore it indoors for awhile I experienced discomfort in the arch area (too much support with my orthodics) so I returned them. The W940v3 fits similar to the 940v2 that I previously wore but has a little bit more room in the toe area and that works well for me.

I wear a size 9 2A in regular shoes. I ordered a 10.5 2A in this shoe. Like riding in a cadillac. Plenty of cushion. Lots of sole. My only problem is they feel too wide. I tightened them but they still feel a little loose also low in the toe box. 50% of the people in the world have an upturned big toe including me. This box is shallow and that toe will wear a hole in the top of the toe box in just two months. With great sadness I am returning them.
