I love these but the metallic color is rubbing off at the edge. Not sure how long it will remain which kind of bums me out, the color under the metallic blue is white so it's not like you won't notice it.

The two pairs I bought 4 yrs ago are perfect and I expected these to be the same, but they aren’t! The straps are longer, esp. the right one. Even buckled in the tightest hole, this year’s sandal is too loose. My two pairs in Insignia Blue & Toffee buckle in the next-to-tightest hole; they’re perfect! I don’t mind paying the increase of $5 as long as the quality of work, i.e. care in cutting the pattern carefully, is not decreased. Very disappointing, especially when I wanted two more pairs!

This is my first pair of Birkenstock and so far not impressed. If you spend a lot of money on a sandal you shouldn’t get blisters. I wore these sandals for about two hours and I have a major blister between my big toe and secondary toe. Not impressed at all at this point. Can’t even wear them again until it goes away. Don’t believe the hype!

I wanted to love these so much. Who doesn't want to love a stylish Birkenstock, right? When I put them on initially in the house, I did. I tossed the box, cut the label. Then I wore them for a walk around the block. The thong between the toes was so painful, I knew I made a mistake. They were extremely uncomfortable. I think it's because the thong is made of hard plastic. Luckily, having bought them through Zappos, they still let me exchange them for the more classic "Arizona" style, even after tossing the box and wearing them once! Thank you Zappos!

Returning - the lips at the front of the sandal hit my toes. The toe thong hurt! I wear a 7.5 medium. Ordered a 38.

I love Birks and have had them before. I was excited to order because these did not look so "earthy." However, they are not comfortable and are cheaply made.

These are very cute and comfortable shoes. However, I bought them for my 11 year-old daughter for the summer about a month ago and the outer coating on the leather -- the shimmery green -- has worn off almost completely in some places. She is hard on shoes, but I would have expected better from Birkenstock. I have the same pair in red leather with absolutely no problems. I think it's just the material they use to create the iridescent look. If it weren't for this one issue, I would have given 5 stars.

I wore them and wish I had not. They are not comfortable. The arch support is good, but that doesn't make up for the rest of the shoe.

I love the style of this sandal, but am sadly returning them. As I have seen in other reviews, the hard molded plastic thong piece is really bothersome between the toes. Too bad!

The color faded and has weird whitish spots. I have not had this happen with any other styles.

These are NOT leather. Birks used to all be made of leather. These feel like the same crap you get at payless.

Beware of mirror colors!! I purchased these for a month long trip to Europe with lots of walking. I wore them a week in bone dry California before leaving to make sure of comfort. For my neutral foot with slightly flat arch these fit perfectly and provided enough support to prevent a tendency toward plantar fasciitis. I purchased the mirror pink as I love magenta and much of my wardrobe for the trip matched perfectly. They were beautiful - at first. I soon discovered that these are not a hard working pair of Birekenstock but rather a gimmic color that doesn't hold up to regular wear. Wirhin two weeks of wearing these 3 times a week to site see and hike on well traveled paths - the color began to wear away around the edges - not just a little but completely - now silver all around the edges instead of pink and splotches of silver on the tops where drops of water hit them. The footbed is barely broken in - not yet fully formed to my foot - and these are ready for the trash bin. I am returning them as defective. I have had Birkenstock, Naot and Mepphisto over the years and always when I am done it is usually just to change styles - not because they no longer look acceptable. These were at best a 3 week pair of sandals - I expect and get more from my cheap Target sandals. My daughter got the blue pair of mirror at Nordstrom - hers look even worse! We were caught in a rainstorm and she had hers on and the color is almost entirely gone, washed away by rain water! I wish I could post a picture as no one would dare order them. They are now a very ugly mottle silver with bits of blue visible. Not at all wearable if one hopes to look even slightly presentable. We will also be testing Nordstroms customer service and returning hers - no way should one be worried that regularly wearing a pair of sandals at this price point would result in the color coming off. I ordered another pair in another non mirror color because I love the fit so much. I hiked the full Cinque Terre route in these for 4 hours - a hilly route with stone stairs and uneven cobbled paths after the color was mostly gone anyway - and not a single sore spot and they provided plenty of support and stability on a hot day when wearing sneakers felt too confined.

I am so disappointed in the cheapness of the uppers. How can they be the same price as the leather styles? Thin foam with a coating of vinyl that will clearly peel off at some point. Going back.

When I first saw these shoes on Zappos website, I had to have them. At the time, my size in the color I wanted was unavailable and I was disappointed. Yesterday, though, Zappos emailed that my size was in stock again. I was looking at the shoes one more time before checking out when I saw that the toe separator looked like plastic. I checked out the reviews and found several comments that documented it. I am very particular about what goes between my toes and know I can't tolerate plastic there. So glad I found out that these shoes would not work for me BEFORE I placed the order. As a decades long Birkie lover, I am sorry they have chosen to use plastic between the toes. I expect more natural materials from Birkenstock. (Please disregard my ratings for the categories of Overall and Comfort etc. Apparently I have to choose a rating to post my comment. I do stand by my rating of 5 for style, though. These are really cute shoes.)
