I've been wearing Birkenstocks for years and thought these were exactly like my old pair. They look the same, but when I tried them they hurt my feet. The foot bed felt deep and cut into the edges of my foot. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I finally realized that these were "soft bed" Birkenstocks. This style is new to me, in fact I didn't realize it was different from regular Birkenstocks until I tried them, and I found the shoes very uncomfortable. I need to have the regular Birkenstocks, so will have to try again.

I can’t believe how wide these are. I have wide feet but these are ridiculously wide.

I had ordered black suede and you sent leather

I keep trying to order a Narrow in Birkenstock; Zappos keeps sending me sandals in an unmarked box with wide shoes. It has been very frustrating. I am ordering from somewhere other than zappos for the first time in ages

I always size down in Birkenstock. I’m a size 6 and wear a 35 in Birk. Also, I’m a lover of Birk and the comfort and style of the sandals. It’s my go to for sure. However the suede this particular sandal is made out of itsnt durable. If it gets the slightest bit wet it discolors completely. I loved the light grey/tan color and it discolored to a dark grey almost green leather. I understand suede has to be taken care of, but I didn’t expect extreme discoloration. I returned them.

This was my first pair of Birkenstocks in years (decades really), my have they changed. They were both too big and too small at the same time. The straps have no structure and just limply flop over. The photos with the straps staying arched in position are edited more than a Kardashian photo. My toes had to do all the work trying to keep the sandal on my foot. I returned.

I never owned a pair of Birkenstock sandals, so was anxious to try them. I have say I am very disappointed in them. I’m sorry I spent so much money on them. They are very stiff and uncomfortable. They hurt my toes when wearing them with no socks. The first time I I find them very stiff and uncomfortable. They hurt my toes if wearing them without socks. The first time I stepped outside in them my foot twisted off the side and now am suffering from a twisted ankle- very sore- hope I didn’t break something. ??

I wanted to love these :( But even after several weeks of "breaking in" I'm getting constant blisters on the inner part of my foot where the arch is. I'm not sure if they'll take a return after being worn but I'm super bummed I'm out nearly $150

These caused physical pain when taking a step in them. They force the foot into an unnatural position. Don't wear them if they hurt your feet thinking they will break in, that's your foot adjusting to something uncomfortable and the pain you initially feel is your body telling you that something is wrong. Don't fall for the hype and avoid these.

This is my second pair. I only spent $135 because I have very narrow feet, and the first pair fit perfectly and wore like iron for several years. This new pair, however, is cut a bit wider than the first, and therefore a bit sloppy for my foot. Also, the leather is quite a bit flimsier (thinner) than my first pair; it just lays limp when i slip them off, preventing me from just slipping them back as I was used to with the first pair, which held it's shape. Overall, I'm disappointed in both the width and quality.

These were horrible. They arrived the day after I ordered them (last night) and they’re already back at UPS on their way to be returned. Yes, Birkenstock are not ‘stylish’ - that’s not the reason I bought them. They initially fit was good- I had high hopes. But as soon as I stood up, both of my feet ached, and my arches felt like they were being stabbed. I tried adjusting the straps, but it was the foot bed and arch support, shoes shouldn’t hurt as soon as you stand up. These went back in the box.

shoes are fine, even great. But I am annoyed that I keep being pestered for a review. I have unsubscribed from this in the past, yet here they are asking for a review. I hate Zappos marketing team because to unsubscribe one more time I have to login again. Sort of the last thing I want to do. Please Zappos and everyone else please, please, please stop asking for a review or at least make it so I do not need to log in AGAIN to unsubscribe. I am so annoyed that I have logged in to write this review. I will buy my Birks somewhere else next time. Please just give me a unsubscribe button that does not require me to log in. Actually, just leave me alone. please, if I unsubscribe this year the remember that next year or I will find a different vendor.

The product may be great but unfortunately the sandals shipped to me were clearly worn. Very unfortunate.

Horrible footbed with a lump in absolutely the wrong place for my foot, forward of the arch. These are not the Birks I knew and loved years ago!

Need to return these. Straps are just way too big and I have a wide foot. Maybe these are for folks with a high arch? However, just love Zappos customer service!

I hate to spoil all the 5 star reviews but these shoes hurt! I know you have to break them in but I've been wearing them for 2 weeks and still my feet are in pain. My arches feel like I have billiard balls strapped to them and at night I lay in bed with horrible burning pain. I have flat feet, a fallen arch in the right foot (the tendon actually ruptured) and severe over-pronation problem. I bought them because of all the great reviews and kept them because I kept thinking they would get more comfortable after I broke them in, but the pain is still excruciating! So now I'm out the money and I still need some comfortable shoes for 2 weeks in Italy this summer.
