I chose this shoe for my 12 year old son to wear to a wedding. It served the purpose. He thought it was going to be very uncomfortable and he thought they looked huge on his feet. But it turned out he was pleasantly surprised and found them to be comfortable and not too bad looking by the end of the evening.

We got these in 9 wide (his normal size is 8½W) for my three year old son who was the ring bearer in a wedding. The wide was not wide enough. It is on the narrower side of wide as I guess a lot of dress shoes are. He freaked out as soon as I put them on him, and he never wore them. He wore his sneakers instead. Go figure. They were very stiff and the quality did not seem to match the price. I would think these would go for much less based on the comfort/look.

I ordered these shoes in a 3 y and a 3.5 y to see which fit my son. The 3.5 is smaller and more narrow that the 3. They are stiff and the insole was coming out of both pair. Poor quality shoes for the money.

We are not very pleased with the shoe. They have not held up very well over the past few weeks. My son says that they are not very comfortable; he discards them as soon as he's home from school. I will not purchase this brand again.

I always look forward to ordering these shoes. Little tighter than I remember. Probably be ok when I get them stretched.

Good, sturdy shoe that I bought as part of my 9-year-old son's school uniform. His school is in New York City and he walks several city blocks in these shoes almost every day. The shoes seem to be holding up well--and my son is very hard on his shoes! He and I both like the classic style and he says the shoe is very comfortable even with all the walking he has to do. A great choice.

Dress shoes are never an easy sell for little feet used to tennis shoes and bare feet, but these Scholars were very comfortable for my 7 year old son, and they are very handsome.

Runs too small!

Bought these for my 11yrs old son who is in private school and was going through shoes like candy. These are the perfect durable shoes for everyday wear specially if your child is as wild and playful as mine. He is usually a 4.5 in sneakers and for these we had to return and exchange for one full size up (5.5). They are a bit hard on the inside but after a week or two they start to soften up. My son and I are very happy with our choice.

My boys do German folk dancing and need a plain toe Oxford. It is often hard to find appropriate shoes, and when we buy non-leather uppers, they peel and crack quickly on the toe. These are some of the best we have tried, and I think this will be our go-to from now on. A very handsome boy's oxford.

This shoes come in Wide and truly are wide. My son has feet that look like bricks, so finding a truly wide shoe is challenge. These fit nicely and he likes them. They are a nice compromise between "little kid" and "old man" shoes. Wish they were a little cheaper, but when you have specific fitting needs, I understand I have to pay the price.

These are really nice looking shoes. They seem true to size or maybe a teeny bit big for size based on my son's other shoes in the same size. My son says they are pretty comfortable.

Toe color does not wear off. Tough material so takes a few wearings before broke in. Son complained on pain at first

Perfect shoe for 13 yr old boy. He said very comfortable from the moment he put it on. On the ever-so-slightly narrow side, which is good for him.

Great value and nice fit! Comes with an extra set of laces. Laces are waxed, which is great to keep them tied. However, your child may find it difficult to tighten the laces. The leather is a bit stiff, so my kids will need to break them in. Excellent shoe for school uniforms.

My son has had these shoes for his "church shoes" for a year now. They are by far the best oxford we have found. They are nearly impossible to scuff! We have had other ones from various brands that scuffed so easily, even though he never played in them. But these shoes can take a beating and still look pristine enough to wear in a wedding. I will continue to buy School Issue every time he outgrows his previous pair. I'm a customer for life! (Well, at least until he's old enough to choose and buy his own shoes.)

The shoes fit my son well. He has always had a wide foot, and getting the right fit can be hard. This is a handsome and comfortable shoe.

These fit my wide-footed son comfortably. He likes them so much that when he outgrew them, I bought not only the next size up, but the next size after that.

I bought these for my middle school son who was standing up in a wedding. They are great shoes; they looked very sharp with his suit. He says they are comfortable; he made it over 12 hours in them without complaining.

Great shoes for school. My sons have to wear lace ups, and the traditional buck is always hard to break in with not enough padding. Not these. They are comfy from the get go. Holding up to playground time well so far.
