I needed a shoe for wet weather and thought these were going to be it but the second I put them on and walked in them the top folded on a place which pinched. Sent back.

Too stiff for a Rockport shoe.

I was originally looking for a Rockport Charles Road Bike Toe Oxford. Unfortunately, it wasn't available. I searched for another size 9.5 EE pair, and the Rockport Office Essentials Ellingwood appeared to be a suitable substitute. Alas, it was not the case. This is one of the worst pair, in terms of comfort, I've ever owned. My pinky toes were being squished while walking. I tried for a few days thinking that the pair would loosen up. It did not. My toes still hurt. I will be returning this pair.

These are simply the worst pair of shoes I have ever worn. The leather feels like I’m wearing wooden shoes, blisters on the top of my toes, my heels and just plain painful. Must be the waterproofing they put on the leather. I swear by Rockports for comfort but these are horrible. I tried breaking them in but to no avail. I will be throwing these in the collection box for recycling. $100.00 down the drain....stay away from these shoes, please!

I love these shoes. Except you sent me two right feet!!! Terrible service. Giant pain in the backside.

I like the design and they are very comfortable. However, they look exceptional cheap--more like a plastic vinyl material than leather. The big problem--and the reason I ultimately returned them--is that after a few weeks the color starts to rub off wherever parts of the shoe touch--the tongue, the laces, etc. And now, the color is "peeling" off the top surface. Not something I would expect from a three-figure pair of dress shoes. Strongly recommend avoiding this shoe.

I bought these for my husband. They look nice and he was very happy with them at first, but after wearing them for a week or so we are very disappointed. The leather scuffs very easily -- it seems like the color or polish is very thinly applied and cheap. So they look beat-up already. (My husband's last pair of office shoes lasted a couple of years -- he is not hard on them.) Worse than that, the design of the shoe makes them very painful. The end of the toe (above the seam) is reinforced with some kind of stiffer material. So when he walks, the shoe creases at the seam and because of the stiffer material, it is like a hard plate that cuts into the top of his big toe at the joint. Both of his big toes have very painful sores from where the "plate" cuts into the top of his foot. We thought it would get better and have tried to stretch the shoe along the seam but so far no luck. It's a terrible design. Of course, now it's too late to return them but we will have to find other shoes for him. What a waste of money.

These shoes starting squeaking loudly after a few weeks. They sound like a horse saddle creaking. I've bought Rockports for years and never had this issue.

Not comfortable, noisy and don't look great. I usually like Rockport shoes, so I kept these thinking I would grow to like them. After a few weeks (only wearing 2-3 times during a workweek) I still find them uncomfortable. It all has to do with the band over the toe. They also make some kind of a squishing sound as I walk. It isn't loud but it really isn't necessary. Where they bend as I walk they also have a whiteness that appears.

Less than nine months in use and the sole has cracked. Very disappointed, particularly for the price paid.

Disappointing, because I'm a huge fan of Rockport shoes. I purchased this pair do to the style over a month ago and I started getting a "pinching" feeling on the back of my big toes when I'm walking (from the area where the tip crease ends). I thought the shoes needs to be "broken" in; however, not the case and I've tried both width sizes and now I'm stuck with the wide size that I can't even wear.

This is the first pair of Rockports I've purchased that uses a leather "veneer" (for lack of a better word). The first scuff and the shoe was permanently damaged. My previous Rockports had thicker leather so a little shoe polish would fix it up. Not sure why they (Rockport) went the cheap route.

These shoes have great style. They're beautiful. Unfortunately after wearing them for several hours at work my little toes began to bleed. I'm a size 13. I've always been a size 13. In fact, I wear two other Rockport shoes and they fit great. I can't return these now, nor can I wear them. Anybody need a pair of shoes? I wasted the money.

Probably the most ill fitting and painful pair of shoes I have ever worn -- never had so much trouble with Rockports. Shoe fit was at least 1/2 size too large, if not full size. Leather looks and feels cheap. Squeaks when I walk. Blisters developed on top of my second toes on both feet. The flex point pinched my toes with every step. Too bad I cannot return them after wearing them as I will simply have to donate them now -- I just can't wear them any longer.

This is a great shoe, but for me the rear upper ankle seam cut into my ankle enough in only a half hour to cause a blister.

I have extremely narrow feet and never have been able to get narrow widths in stores. I have worn the Mediums, in the lace shoes, the eyelet pull together. Tried your narrow shoes and they are extremely tight and uncomfortable in both 11 & 11.5.
