Read all reviews before purchase. I wear a true size 10 but ordered both a size 10 (black) & 11 (grey) - kept the 10. Love the black, didn't care for the grey (lighter colors look better on smaller feet). First impression was wow a moccasin-type feel. Completely sheepskin lined (around toe box too). Felt sloshy with a thin sock but changed socks to an acrylic blend ski sock so no slip on heel or sole and whoa! sure-footed. No turning back. Wore them all day in-house. Look great under jeans without cuff or skinny jeans tucked in with cuff. Spray with water repellent before using first time. Ordered another pair in Blackberry Wine & more sheepskin insoles from another site. The sole is awesome if you have a long gait - it's rounded so you don't "stomp" when walking but roll off the heel which looks balanced & graceful (unlike men's boots). If you have narrow feet, this boot may be too wide for you. Don't let the insoles completely compress unless you want the extra room - replace them. Pull insoles out to breathe periodically. Can gently brush sheepskin cuff too. That's all I can think of to share with you - hope this helps you.

This has to be one of the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned. My mom bought a pair of these (otter color) after purchasing a pair for herself. They are super comfortable, stylish, warm, and waterproof; which is important for me since I live in Washington State where it rains 9 months out of the year. I love the sheepskin inside the boot since it keeps your feet warm, but does not overheat your feet or make them sweaty. These boots can be worn with thin or thick socks. You can also wear these boots with your pant leg tucked into the boot or worn out over the boot. This gives you two looks with one boot. These boots were the first pair of Uggs that I have owned and I am completely won over! I highly recommend these boots!

Definitely not your typical Uggs. I bought these in Imperial Blue. These are slightly darker than they appear, at least on my monitor. Having said that, they are still an attractive blue boot without the clunkiness that many winter boots suffer from. I used to be a 7 1/2 med, but after the birth of my daughter, I am now an 8. I bought these in an 8 1/2, and they feel perfect without socks. If I was going to wear socks, I'd go up to a size 9. I have thick calves and have trouble with tall boots. I can turn up the tops of these, tuck my pants in, and still tie the laces. We live in Germany at the moment, and these should be a good boot for the cold, wet winter.

I absolutely love these boots. I live in Michigan where we get quite a significant amount of snow and now I can't wait for that first snow fall to wear my new boots. I have worn them for numerous rainy sporting events for my kids and they keep my feet warm and dry. I did have to order a half size up, but everything else is perfect. They are worth the cost.

These boots saved my feet in the upstate New York weather where I go to school. They are perfect to wear in the snow because you won't slip as much. I usually wear a size 6 to 6 1/2 in sandals & flats and size 7 in boots and ordered it in size 7. It fits me perfectly when I wear them barefoot, however, I did find them to be a little tight when worn with socks so I guess you should order a size up.

I am a grad student in Michigan, consequently: I live on a very tight budget and I spend 4-6 months per year trekking around campus and to and from my house in very cold, snowy and icy conditions. I would rather spend more on a good pair of boots that will last me 8+ years than need to buy new boots every 1-2 years. My foot is a size 8, but I am a petite woman with narrow calves. In my experience, I need boots with laces so that the width can be adjusted to fit. I also recently had knee surgery, so this winter I need boots with excellent traction and ankle support for stability. My ideal boot would also be fashionable and feminine, but this is a lesser priority for me. Given the above considerations, I tested many pairs of boots from several different manufacturers (Merrell, Sorel, Dansko, North Face, Keen, and Ugg) within the same price range. These Ugg boots were the winner because: - Comfort and fit. When the laces are properly adjusted, there is no slippage and they fit perfectly. The sheep skin lining and sole are also incredibly comfortable. - Support. They are stiff enough to provide excellent ankle support and stability, yet the toe is flexible enough to allow for a comfortable gait. The soles have good traction. Also, they are not too heavy--no feeling of being weighed down by your feet! - Durability and workmanship. The toe and heal are reinforced. The stitching everywhere appears to be of quality. - Warmth & water-proof. The sheep skin is very warm. The tongue is gusseted, preventing snow from getting inside. If you apply Ugg water protectant prior to the first use and periodically throughout the boots' lifetime (I do it no more than once or twice per year), your feet do not get wet, even if you step in one of those awful, unexpectedly deep puddles of salt-treated snow slush. - Fashion and style. They look as pictured on the website. Not the most fashionable or feminine, in my opinion, but not combat boots or lumberjack style, either. I like the shaft height and that the cuff can be turned down. I may be the only college student ever who does not like to wear leggings and skinny jeans all the time. These are just short enough (and not so bulky) that they will fit under boot-cut jeans. I also like this shaft height because your legs don't over heat when you wear the boots indoors for extended periods of time. The sheep skin is pretty breathable and my feet don't get sweaty.

The boots are wonderful, the warmest, driest boots that I have ever had. Zappos was fantastic. I realized I had ordered the wrong color 45 minutes after I ordered. I called and customer service was superlative. The shoes were already prepared for loading, the representative managed to get them off and get the new color on, and couldn't have been nicer in the process. They bent over backwards to make this work. Nothing but nice things to say!

For years I have resisted buying Ugg boots because of the price, but this year I have been trying to find boots for the upcoming winter with no success. Thank you Zappos for putting up with my many returns. Last December I had foot surgery and just can't wear shoes that require any breaking in. These boots are super comfy right out of the box. I ordered a 1/2 size up after reading the reviews, and I am glad I did because I can now fit thick socks in them if I want to, but I think my normal 9 1/2 would have fit just fine. These boots feel a little wide which is perfect for my feet, but if you have narrow feet they might not work for you.

I am a rural mail carrier from Wisconsin and this is my second season with these boots. I love them they are warm and comfortable. I have had to re-waterproof them but other than that they have held up. I added arch supports and can wear them 10 hours of walking, driving and standing.

These boots are absolutely incredible. Because they are waterproof, I was half expecting a very stiff, unyielding leather boot. Instead, they are as soft as butter, waterproof, warm, petite (as in not big and clunky) and stylish. After reading the other reviews, I did go up a half size larger than my usual size 7, and the 7.5 fits perfectly. They also have a nice arch support and I can tell they will be comfortable to walk the dogs in. Unlike the fooo-fooo co-ed stupid-looking Uggs-with-miniskirts-on-a-90-degree-day-in-L.A. that I have come to despise, these are real boots for real weather and I am glad I rose above my disdain for the other side of Uggs and gave these a shot!

Had several issues with this order regarding size. Normally wear a size 8. That was too small, returned it for an 8.5. Too small as well. Finally got the 9 and that did the trick. Through it all Zappos stepped up to the plate re: customer service, etc. in stellar fashion. Thanks Zappos for your outstanding assistance as always!

I hunted for, tried on, read reviews, and analyzed the specs on a large number of snow boots out there this year. I just moved to Michigan and I wanted to find a boot that was comfortable, waterproof, warm, durable and excellent quality. I tried on Merrells, Patagonias, North Face, Keens, Columbias, Kamiks...all were good, some very good...but this boot has it all. I wore it today for the first time after receiving it Monday morning (ordered Saturday afternoon--thank you, love you Zappos). It required NO break in. I even jogged in them here and there as we took the dogs on an hour long snowy walk. They are so comfy, sure-footed, and warm. The Event system works--very breathable, your feet don't get sweaty. Absolutely worth every penny. Slightly wide, but about true to size for length. I sized up a half size cause I wanted to wear my hiking socks. Love these boots! Plus, they're cute. :0

I am a true size 7 medium in most shoes and boots. I have worn a 7 in all Ugg styles that I have ever tried, including the Brooks tall & short. I agree with the vast majority of reviewers who say these boots are half a size too small. The toes of my left foot hit the end of the boot, which is highly unusual. Even when I replaced the fur insole with a thinner one (to simulate the fur being worn down) they felt short, even with thin socks on. I ordered the 7½ and am happy with it. It runs pretty wide, so people with narrow feet might have to wear thick socks. They are comfortable right out of the box. I wore them for long walks immediately with no problems, and I have very sensitive feet.

I got the Obsidian. Love the rich color. I usually wear a 8.5 but listened to the reviews and purchased a 9 and it is perfect and will allow me to wear a sock underneath. I do not like a shoe with too much excess room. Also because the sheepskin is dark the dye my stain my skin so I will always wear at least a thin sock. It is so lightweight and has the feel of a comfy tennis shoe. I am thrilled with my Ugg purchase, but they are my favorite brand. This is my first pair of "waterproof" Uggs, however, and I am very excited. I am tempted to purchase a second pair in the grey. My first pair of lace ups but it was really no problem. I have a "normal" width foot and the boot fit perfect. I didn't find them clunky at all. As to Zappos usual phenomenal customer service I received them in one day. I will update my review once I have weather tested them but I know they won't let me down as per other Zappos reviewers.

I have been wearing these shoes almost daily for a little more than a month now. When I first started to wear these boots, I had nothing but amazing things to say about them. Very comfortable, though they are a bit wide (they are winter boots!) they still fit my narrow feet comfortably. They were warm in the chilly fall weather and kept my feet completely comfortable. But over the past couple of weeks I have noticed my feet feeling a bit damp in when I am walking in moderately wet weather or snow/ice. I had thought the boots were supposed to be waterproof, but I am very disappointed to realize this is not the case. While my feet are not soaked, they definitely are not staying warm or completely dry. Also it seems as if water may be trapped in the boots somehow. Even after having them dry overnight. Now my boots are very squeaky as well. I have taken out the removable footbed and am trying to dry out the weird dampness with baby powder. But this is not something that I wanted to have to do after spending so much money on the shoes. I do wear these for hours on end each day, as I am a dog walker so I put some good wear into the boots. But they should not have this type of problem after only a month or two. I also have to say that the shearling inside at the ankle has worn off already and has worn off quite a bit already off the removable foot bed. I am so disappointed now in what I thought of at first as the most comfortable cozy pair of winter boots. I will now have to continue to look for a pair of good warm, waterproof winter boots.

Love them! Bought them in Sand last year, came back for another pair at the sale price. Love the purple color, so glad I went for it, it's really rich and stunning looking and goes with more than you would think! As with my previous pair, the boot is comfy, soft, warm and just wonderful. I would order my true size in this style. Cannot say enough great things about this boot and about Zappos!

Let me start by saying I am a faithful Ugg customer. It is the only brand of boot I wear. My slippers are Ugg, my kids' boots since they were born are Uggs. My oldest is now 7. I even purchased a pair of Ugg slippers for my mom. I have had a pair of water proof leather zip up Ugg boots for 5 or more years now (in addition to two other pair of Ugg boots). They are beyond worn now and it was time for a new pair. I don't just wear waterproof boots for the style, I also need them to function when I'm outside playing in the snow with my kids. My old boots did that. They were tall enough where the snow never got in and of course warm enough where I didn't need socks in 20 degree weather. Not these boots. I decided not to get the tall version because the laces frightened me. The shorter style is just terrible in every sense. They are heavy. The shoelaces come undone constantly causing snow to get in. They are too short - so after the recent blizzard we had in CT, snow got in while I just walked the dogs out in the am. They are cute, but I honestly hate them. I can't justify paying for another pair, but I wouldn't recommend these to anyone. I don't know why a zip up version isn't offered, but they should.

Great boots, very well made with high quality materials. I've tried many others including Northface, Skechers, Kamik, and Uggs definitely come out on top in terms of the quality and the look. This style is definitely one size too small, so order up. Thanks to Zappos I can return and re-order without hassle.

I bought these after much debate over the price and color. I bought these to replace the ugly Timberland hiking boots that I was using to commute to and from work and as snow boots, which slipped very easily on the subway train platform and were too short to wear in the snow. Saw these in the UGG catalog. They're quite warm and toasty. The color is nice, though I wanted brown or black, but those colors didn't come in suede, so the suede won out and I'm not sorry. I think these will be very worth the investment and will last forever. They're extremely warm. I wear them either without socks or with my tights. In fact, socks are not needed and would slip around inside the boot and make the boots too warm and too small. These boots do feel slightly smaller than size, but are fine if I don't try to wear socks (which aren't needed). For example, I wore these to work one day in the rain, and the rain didn't even seem to affect them - they weren't the least bit wet when I got to the office. They seem quite durable, and I'm very pleased with this purchase.
