Wish it had a soft footbed. I'm a solid size 8, sometimes wide, and the 39 was way too big. Loved the style though.

These shoes were very wide, for narrows. We put them on the last hole and cut the ends of the straps off. I have an old pair I wear all the time and I had to do that with them. I wish someone would make a sandle in a true narrow. other than that I like the shoe.

Haven't wore them yet, but really a pretty color. I have a narrow foot and these do have a narrow footbed along with adjustable straps. Usually Birkenstocks run very wide. I like them, most likely a keeper.

I ordered the Yao and the Granada, looking for a more feminine and more unique Birkenstock option than the typical Arizona. I am typically a 7.5 and have a somewhat narrow foot. I ordered both shoes in a 38 Narrow - the Granada fit perfectly but the Yao’s were too big. I like my foot to fit perfectly in the Birkenstock mold, with no extra space in the back, or else the arch support and toe ridge don’t align correctly. I didn’t try a smaller size because I also wasn’t a huge fan of the white sole on the white ones - it stood out a little too much for me.

I wanted to like this sandals because they are very stylish and not so bulky like others Birkenstock, but I’m kind of disappointed with the comfort. Have one pair Arizona soft footbed already, but this Yao sandals are different, they are not comfortable at all. The insole is hard and straps didn’t hold my feet in correct position. I guess they could be little bit more low. I’m returning and will buy Arizona soft footbed instead. Wish they could have the same pink washed color like in Yao version.

This item is not made in a regular width - only a narrow. I do not have narrow feet, but decided to try and see if I could make it work. I tried both my normal size and one larger - neither would work for me which is a shame since it's such a pretty shoe.

I’m so sad that I need to return these! They are so cute. Love the copper pink color... they look great on the foot because they aren’t as wide as traditional birks,but don’t let the “narrow” only turn you off- I have wide feet and the fit was perfect. But they are SLIPPERY!! I think I expected the inner sole to be a white version of what you would normally find on birks...sueded. Nope! Shiny & Slick as ice! I couldn’t even take 3 steps in them, my foot was sliding around. Either that or the shoe was going to fly off my foot!! Thankful for Zappos return policy, I purchased my mayari and Arizona’s soft through here. Sadly this was a miss for me ?

I wanted to love these but they destroyed my feet. Left me with very ugly scars on my instep area... both feet after a not so long walk. They are beautiful but for some reason they rubbed really bad on my instep area. If you want these to barely walk in them, I would recommend.

I wanted to be thrilled with this shoe but, even though I loved the style, unfortunately it has zero support. Because of the thickness/weight of all Birkenstock’s comfy shoes, I found it very difficult to walk in this style. The back (in the entire heel portion , past the upper), made it difficult to keep the shoe on without it falling away from my entire back of my foot. I have a long (10), narrow foot so this would probably not be as much of a problem with smaller sizes but I don’t know this for a fact—just speculation on my part. Hope you have better luck; it’s a great-looking sandal. No question about that.

These shoes look great but were painful to wear. The shoes footbed comes pre-molded with raised ridges under the toes and outside heel. These ridges are quite prominent and dig into the bottom of my toes and heels in a very uncomfortable way. I tried breaking them in a bit by wearing socks with them around the house for 3 days. Once the socks came off it cut the tops of my feet and caused a lot of pain on the bottom of my feet. I am an 8 1/2 narrow. The 39 narrow fit well except for all the pain they caused. So sad as they are super cute, but going back.

Super comfortable and more feminine than most Berks. I ordered a size smaller then I normally wear because they run large. The color is more like grey bleh vs mocha. sending back and waiting for the black ones to come in.

I was unable to keep them on-the straps were as tight as I could get them but it didn’t help. Cute and they felt really comfy except walking in them...slipped right off.

Very uncomfortable. Under the buckle digs into and rubs on your foot. I changed the hole setting but it was still uncomfortable. It left a mark on my foot.

I was so disappointed in this shoe. The description said the Narrow would also fit the "Regular" or "Medium" that the old Birkenstocks came in. They do not fit a "regular" AT ALL even with the buckles open to the largest buckle holes. I so wanted this to fit but of course WAY too narrow. Maybe Birkenstock could make the Yao in the real Medium width.

Love these. Had them for 3 years and now they are my slippers. Lol

I love these shoes so much I bought a second pair in black. I was worried the patent would look cheap but it doesn't, and my unsightly bunions are comfortably covered. These shoes do not require a break-in period, either.
