To be honest, I wasn’t planning on ordering a wide width for my son but it was the only one left in his size and I was curious. Turns out to be the best decision! My son is so happy with the room his toes have! Guess I will be ordering wides when I can. My son says these are very comfortable and he is pretty picky about how his shoes feel, so you know they must be good!

My son has feet that are on the flatter-side, so the New Balance 860 is a good answer to that problem. We'd been told that this model provides better arch support than the average kids athletic shoe. He wears the "wide". Hope New Balance never discontinues this style!

This model of New Balance has great arch support for my very active 10 year old with very flat feet. They give him the support he needs to keep his feet from hurting.

Great for my 6 year old that pronates. Shoe laces were slippery so swapped them with the laces from the last model of this shoe he already had. Thrilled he loves the look of this supportive shoe!

My son has slightly wide feet which makes shoes challenging to find. We ordered the wide width and they fit perfect! Much more cushion and support also than his previous Nike’s which he complained hurt his feet. Perfect for an active boy

Great shoes for an active kid. These seem to run a little bigger than other NB shoes that we've bought for him - ended up sizing down a 1/2 size, but of course that's easy to swap out with Zappos!

I bought these shoes for my 7yr old son. We have bought other brands that tend to fit more narrow, New Balance seems to provide the best fit for him. Happy with the purchase!

For $70, these shoes are not well made. The toes on both of my four year old's shoes had holes within one month of wearing them. We did not even have the shoes two months before we had to throw them away.
