This coat is amazing. The comfort is wonderful. I am short and this coat is not too bulky and just fits perfectly. I recommend this coat to anyone who is on the shorter side!

Awesome and just what i needed. Warm and comfy. Packs like a pancake which is perfect when flying in and out of Florida. Would have rated all 5’s if the collar would lie flat.

I love this jacket. It's warm, light weight, and perfect to throw on after yoga. The back is longer which is perfect for football games and keeping your booty warm! The front pockets can hold a cell phone without the fear of anything falling out. I ordered the same coat in another color; I love it so much.

I absolutely love this coat. My issues with it include: the pockets are too far outside on me, so they're not easy to put my hands in. They are safe, however, for putting things in such as phone, keys, money. The pockets are out here moreso because I have a bigger lower half. So the jacket also is not quite closing on me in the hip area. The sleeves are too long, so I cuff them inside. The snaps don't seem to be reinforced, so I fear the material tearing at the snaps if not careful. I wore it yesterday here in the Midwest on a gray day around 35 degrees, along a swollen, raging river with just a thick tshirt under, and my back felt cool. It is very expensive. Still, I love this coat. It is typically warm. I have worn it in light rain and not been wet or sticky at all. I like the style of it. It is a great in-between jacket for this time of year. The logo blends in so I don't look like a walking advertisement.

I like the coat -- it feels silky and soft to the touch. I prefer this longer length to the cropped ones. It covers the rear end -- important for sitting on cold benches in the winter. I took away one star because of the pockets. While I like the size of the pockets (they're bigger than on other similar coats I've purchased), the one thing I don't like about them is that they zip from the top. These pockets aren't good as hand warmer pockets because of the top entry. I would suggest that North Face rework these pockets so that they are also hand warmer pockets with entry from the side as well as zipped from the top.

I love this coat but it came with no tags and it had a used chapstick in the right pocket. YUCK! Now it is completely sold out in my size.

Great lighweight coat for any weather. Works well for travel because it packs into a small space.

I have several colors in the regular jacket length, but there are mornings on the set when I need a bit on length, but easy to pack up when it warms up and easy to carry. Love it. Maybe you could make an ankle length as well.

Great jacket will only recommend to go one size smaller than suggested other than that it's great to have underneath layers!

Pretty true to size, maybe a tad generous. Love the style and fit. Light weight and perfect for the transition from winter to spring. Nice hood and the pockets are big and roomy. Great for running errands and dog walking.

Love this coat. I bought this coat in a size smaller (small) after reading all the reviews and it fits perfectly with a light sweater underneath. It has not rained since I got it so I can't vouch for the water tightness but I am happy with the weight for spring/fall weather. I am 5'4" and 130 lbs and the jacket is very long (skimming the back of my knees) but I like that for walking the dog etc. As others have said, there is no reinforcement on the buttons (but I have been using mostly the zipper, and the pockets at the top instead of the side are a pain, but the sleeves are long, so I just have been pulling them down if cold. This is my second favorite coat. My first is a little known brand, that is also packable down, called Halifax from Nordstroms.

I have a couple of the regular length Thermoball jackets and wanted something that would give me more warmth and also work with dresses and work attire. This jacket does exactly that! It works with all my casual outfits and can be worn with dressier outfits. I love that it is warm and not super puffy, very flattering. As with all North Face jackets, the material, zippers and overall quality are excellent.

As with all North Face coats and jackets and vests, this is well made and super comfortable. NF runs a bit large and for my broader shoulders and desire for a bit of a larger coat, this is perfect. And, it is a lovely color of blue. I am 5ft 4in, 135 lbs and a size small fits perfectly.

I had bought this coat in black for the winter and have worn it everyday since. Loved it so much I bought it in navy to have on reserve. It kept me warm all through this cold, wet, New England weather. Loved how light weight it is.

I ordered the Navy in small and ended up exchanging it for the medium. I'm 5'4", 139lb. and have long arms. The arm length on the small was perfect but might be long on most people. The description says the fit is "eased' and I think it fits true to size with additional room for layers. Although the small fit very well, I sized up to the medium so I can have the coat zipped/buttoned and sit down without any tension across the hip and thighs. As others have mentioned the pockets are annoying if you'd like to quickly shelter your hands from the cold (since they open from the top). I agree with others about the button placket- it is not reinforced and I hope it lasts for some time because this is an expensive coat. I live in the PNW and since getting the coat it hasn't rained so I'm unsure how it will do but the hood has good coverage. The tag says "warm" and it works with a sweater down to 40 degrees with a windchill.

This coat works for my active work life. I visit many schools and classrooms. I just fold my coat when I enter classrooms and can tuck it into my tote bag. It's lightweight yet very warm and protective in NY weather conditions. I love it and want to buy additional ones.

I'm a very full-time working woman, mom with one child still at home, avid walker and gym-goer and I'm over 55. I carry some weight in the middle. I can rarely find a coat that fits like this one-- longer, not too small on top and not flared out at the bottom. This is a great coat--warm, stylish, lightweight and comfy. I haven't had it long enough to wear it in the rain yet, but I am so glad I found it. My only suggestions are to make a few more of them in XL-- I've had to search high and low for the color I wanted in XL.

I loved this jacket so much that I am buying a second one in black. It is perfect for work it looks stylish and not too bulky and it is warm. I live in NYC and going in and out between hot and cold it has always been a problem but whatever the Thermoball material is it works for me. I don't sweat in the Subway and I am warm when I get out. This is my first North Face jacket and I am a fan. Only issue I had is when I first got the jacket the zipper was getting stuck, but haven't had issues since.

I've been wearing The North Face gear for 20+ years, and I'm always anxious to see what new styles they create. With the Thermoball Duster, I was first attracted to the style - loose and long - and then the gorgeous Misty Rose color - my favorite color this year! I knew this coat wouldn't last long so I immediately ordered it and when it arrived, I was not disappointed. I live in Chicago so warmth is important. This coat would not stand up to temps below 20 degrees, but it's great for anything above that. I primarily wear it to work because it's chic and beautiful. The only negative is the zipper - it's just not made properly at the bottom and it's very difficult to get the two pieces to engage and zip. I have a couple of The North Face coats whose zippers have failed as well - very disappointing for the price point. Otherwise, though, I love this coat.

Bought this for length and lightweight. It is super comfy and keeps my butt and legs warm. It is a tad large but if I wear a sweater underneath should be good
