These shoes appear to be well built, they run a little narrow for men sizes. Also the tongue under the laces does does lie very well and I can at times see by socks under that tongue. Although they appear to be made well I feel New balance has cut some corners on material. I pay the New Balance price because of the expected quality, I am somewhat disappointed on these 574s, they are not even close to the standards of my 847s, which have been perfect. A good looking shoe, but lacks the quality that will bring me back for another pair of 574s.

While I thought they were a decent looking shoe, the tongue was really cheaply made and didn't look nice. I bought the blue ones and the tongue was ivory color - didn't look nice - and the foam was showing, instead of being sown around. not sure why it is left like that. Not working for me. trying a different style.

great looking shoe,but way to narrow.i gave them to my son rather than return them .he wears a med. width and even he found the EE width to be snug

Ordered size 9.5 2E and they were too narrow for me. I have a mid-arch and wide, thick feet. These shoes are straight through the mid-foot and toe box with a tapering toe cap (much like in the top-down photo). I assumed the photo was for the standard (D), and [incorrectly] expected the 2E to similar, but wider through the toe box. Insole and support was good. Style, materials, and initial construction impressions were good as well. I would have kept them if they fit better.

I liked the shoes a lot, but had to return them. Too narrow. They didn't offer the wide option in the color I liked so I tried the regular fit but were too narrow.

I love the look of these shoes but they are too narrow. I ordered wide (2E) and that is the perfect fit in the regular 574s. However, in this 574 style it is significantly less wide. It makes me sad because I really want them to fit.

I bought a pair of All Coasts 425s wide width and they fit perfectly.. so I thought I'd try a different color. Yes the model number is different but I had no idea the toe box would be so different. As a wide, these felt almost tighter than a regular width shoe. I really hate the inconsistency in shoe sizes within the same manufacturer.
