Brooks Cascadia has been on a death spiral since Cascadia 7. With each new edition I expect improved results. I buy the new Cascadias but I return them due to the inferior quality. I think Brooks is not listening to the feedback from customers. The upper of the shoe needs to be stout and not stretchy. The constant pivoting of trail running requires steady footing. The stretchy upper of the shoe causes a sloppy run on the trail and potential injury. Brooks is not the only shoe company failing in this realm, Montrail, New Balance, and Saucony. Montrail was the leader in trail shoes for decades. Now, Columbia has bought out Montrail and the quality has gone to the port a potty. However, Salomon seems to be the only remaining trail shoe clinging on proper quality and construction. I would not recommend this shoe.

Using these to backpack the Colorado Trail, so ordered them a 1/2 size larger (11-1/2 instead of 11), and a size wider (EE instead of D) to account for my feet swelling. So far I've been impressed, but I've got roughly 400 miles to go, so I'll try to update my review when I get back.

I REALLY wanted to like these shoes. Based on the pics & my love of Brooks I thought I would. But the color is a bit more “extra” than the maroon in the pic. Although I love Ironman, I don’t want to dress like him. Plus the fit was a bit more narrow than I like. Sadly, these will be going back.

Brooks always gets it right with Differential/ neutral footbed Never going to be disappointed with the performance for a Long Distance walking/running shoe Like the plain color choices in my Ghost 11 better

Brooks is tops. And this pair is the Cadillac of Brooks. For comfort. I felt like I was walking on clouds. BUT the color scheme is not for me. The orange is WAY too bright.

I bought these shoes for a dual purpose, I wanted a new pair of everyday shoes and also wanted to replace my golf shoes. With the trail sole, this was a good fit as a non-aggressive golf shoe. They are great for both. These fit tight but are very stretchy and allow your foot to spread out and not pinch your toes down. The tongue is sewn in and works great as it does not move to one side. Shoes breath very well, and are a great fit. The color (orange) is very vibrant, it does not bother me but I can see how others could be turned off by it. My wife told me I was too old to get the iron man colors.

Loved the old Cascadias. Still have several pair of Cascadia 9's in wearable condition: one almost new. The new Cascadia is similar to the old in many ways: firmness of bottom; tread, weight. Biggest change is the narrowness of both the toe box and the middle of the shoe. This is similar to previous models. The wide option is not much wider than the regular. The other noticeable difference is in the quality of materials. Seems like the new shoe tops are made very plastic looking rather than material looking. They look nice, but it does not seem very sturdy.

I normally wear a 4E width but these 2E fit my flipper-like feet. The grip on wet rock was a bit slick at first, but they're good after a short break-in period. Very comfortable.

These Brooks are awesome, buy them if you need a solid trail runner that’s very comfortable. The color just didn’t work for me :(

These are good shoes for running - they are comfortable, light, and there is a elastic feature on the laces that allows for give if needed.

This is the first pair of Brooks that I've owned and I'm very happy with them! The style is Fly, the fit is Great and they are extremely comfortable right out of the box! I'm very happy with this choice!

I have been road running on the GTS platform many years and love the shoe more today than ever, it just keeps getting better. I just started trail running and I tried 3 other types of trail shoes before settling on the Cascadia. They don't feel much different from the GTS model, but the traction is better and the uppers, while still lightweight, offer better protection then the GTS. I really happy with the purchase.

I am a woman who ordered these shoes in a 7W in order to try and get a wider width than the women's version. These are actually narrower than a women's wide in similar size. Back they go.

I have ran breasts and ghosts in a size 14. These are longer than both of them. The fit is still great and I really love tucking the laces in the tongue. I am a delivery driver and these shoes do great. Just don't expect them to grab when wet. I slip going up the grated ramp with a hand truck.

Great looking shoe. Fits bigger than expected. I went 1/2 size smaller which helped but still slips a bit in the heel. But fits good enough BC they look great

Moderate arch. These are almost as comfortable as my Ghosts. I think I like the higher drop on the ghosts better though. These look great.
