A very nice basic boot with a roomy toe box and walk-able heel height. Fit true to size. I normally wear a size 8 and I choose a size 8 in this boot.

1st bootie, and I also have 2 pr. sandals. All fit me well and are quite comfy, which is difficult for me...due to being between a 6.5-7 and being slightly wide for toe box. Thinking about a pair of knee high boots next!

I love these boots; the fit (width and length) is good, the red clay color is beautiful, and they are made to the high standards of all Frye boots. They are also comfortable for fashion boots and not designed to be used as hiking boots. For me, a four star review on anything fashionable that goes on my feet is a pure win.

I purchased these shoes in the brownish colored leather and they are amazing. The look of the material and the sole is top notch. They look great on and they feel good when worn for long periods of time as well. Worth every single penny!

Love these boots! Great Frye quality and fit true to size. Polish up like new if you happen to scuff them.

Love these boots! Out of the box, the right boot was really scuffed up, although the sole was in unmourned condition. Being Frye, it took just a little black shoe polish to make them look brand new again. Since I got them on sale, I was fine with it. Fits exactly to size, even better than the cowboy style Frye boots I have, and easier to walk in.

Pleasantly surprised!

The size was right on -- my normal size 7 -- beautiful leather -- I wanted to keep these boots but my arch and instep are high and it was too much work to get them on and off.

Oh, I’m dying over these...another gorgeous pair of shoes from Frye! These are absolutely beautiful boots and I am so pleased with them. Very comfortable, but I need a few more wearings to fully break them in! The cognac color is perfection and I love this classic addition to my fall wardrobe.

These are really nice looking boots. I like extra room in my boots especially when I wear tights or thick socks. I ordered a size 9 when i wear a 8.5. They are way too big and unfortunately I didn't send them back so they are too big. I will add some insoles and they will be fine but please order your regular size. The leather though is really beautiful!!

These are really beautiful boots - but I found the opening at top to be too narrow. It was uncomfortable at each step and pushed into my shin. The quality of the leather is, unsurprisingly, amazing and would probably have softened over time. But I expect more for a nearly $300 pair of boots.

These boots came out of the box with noticeable scratches and scuffs in the waxed leather surface. Sure this will happen as I wear them, but I don't want a boot that shows marks so easily. This boot is comfortable, and feels solid, but the leather isn't the quality I was expecting, and looks like a much cheaper boot.

I'll admit right off that I have a challenging job fitting a wide forefoot with a narrow heel. But, I haven't given up the search. The black Claire bootie is sleek and the color is rich. I liked how it looked with jeans and slacks but not with leggings, at least not on me. The front top of the boot put too much pressure on my leg when walking and I didn't like that. I also tried the same size (7.5) in the Red Clay Waxed Full Veg and the detail definitely had more pop. Loved the color. After walking around I could tell that the leather felt softer and there was more give. I really liked it but I want a more versatile bootie that I can wear with both longer and shorter length clothing. If you're looking for something sophisticated, sleek and rich, this is the boot for you.

I've had my eye on these for a few weeks now, and finally justified spending $250 on a pair. Ordered these in cognac and black, since I was torn on a color. This is my first pair of Fryes, so I ordered a 7.5 and an 8, reading that the sizing is either true or off. I wear a 7.5/8 normally, usually an 8 in boots. Right out of the box the black ones had a distinct scuff line on the boot that was on top. The 7.5 felt more comfortable; my heel didn't slip out, and it wasn't too much pressure on the front of my ankle ( I wore thin ankle socks with them). The 8 felt roomier in the toe, but was too big when I walked. The cognac pair definitely wasn't brand new, like the black ones.... black were meticulously packaged with tissue paper going distinct directions, and the cognacs were haphazardly put into the box. Very scuffed up. I started to wonder if it's a "thing" that Frye boots come scuffed, but friends who own them told me otherwise. I wanted to love these SO so bad, but they're just awkward. The heel is too chunky to look right with skinny jeans, which is what I intended. Too expensive to not be in love with them, so my search continues in finding the right pair.
