I have been wearing this jacket for 6 weeks and have become frustrated with the feathers working through the fabric. I love the "shiny fig" color and have received compliments on it but being a dark color the white feathers are very noticeable on the surface of the jacket. This is the first down jacket I have purchased and I did not realize this could be an issue. The other issue that is problematic is that the sleeves are somewhat narrow and if I wear a sweater with a thick sleeve or bell shape it really bunches up inside the jacket sleeve and is uncomfortable. The Ohio winter is upon us and I needed a new jacket so I will continue to forge on with the feather situation but I guess I expected more from The North Face product line.

I just received this and I love it. This coat is nice and soft and feels like high quality material. I'm very glad North Face does XXL, thanks so much for that. I'm overweight, but even when I wasn't, I needed a larger size due to my broad shoulders and a broad back from years of weight-lifting. It's wonderful to have a nice brand name jacket that fits and properly and is flattering. I'm sick of squeezing into jackets that are a size too small or just going without. I'm also pleased with the sleeve length. I know many women need longer sleeves, but they're always way too long for me if the rest of the coat fits. This coat fits like it was made for me and I'm thrilled with it and love everything about it. Even the price was reasonable.

Nicely tapered at the waist for a feminine fit. Neck high enough for extra protection against the cold, but doesn’t rub the chin.

I absolutely love this jacket. I bought the classic black. I am a size small, but got a medium, because it didn’t want it to be fitted. I like the extra length (keeps the air out). It’s extremely warm & absolutely perfect for winter in the south. I was hesitant to buy this based on some reviews, but I took the risk because it was such a great deal. SO GLAD I DID. I haven’t had any of the issues that the other reviewers have had. I’ve worn this jacket non-stop since I received it, & I haven’t seen a single feather trying to escape.

I bought this as a gift for my teenage daughter. She is fairly picky and does not like wearing coats. She picked this one out. It arrived quickly. My daughter immediately tried it on and loves it! It is extremely lightweight but warm and comfortable. It fits her well but I think it runs a little on the small side because she is small and it just fits. She usually wears an extra small but we ordered a small. Her older sister tried it on and it was a little snug ( she has a small in a different North Face jacket). Overall, she is very pleased with the purchase!

The fit of this jacket is perfect! Amazing quality and it is so lightweight yet very warm! Exactly what I was looking for! I absolutely love it!!

I really love this jacket! It is super warm without being heavy and bulky. My 'true' size would be a medium but I sized up to a large. I am glad that I did because though it says 'standard' fit, this jacket is fitted and flattering throughout the torso. If you want to layer and/or wear pieces underneath it, I would suggest sizing up. For reference, I am 5'5" 147lb 34D bust.

I love all of my northface jackets but this one is especially stylish. The color is great it's lightweight and comfortable. I am always hesitant about ordering online with out seeing the product in person but the free return policy sold me on it.

I bought this jacket in XS, for reference I'm 5'2" 112LB and fits really well, also the color is very nice. I really love this jacket for walking around the city is super light and keeps me warm.

Wear this coat on a daily basis. The color is great and very fashionable. Will buy again or for a gift for someone

Excellent, very warm, but it is accurate, I recommend that if you are between the S and M, better the bigger, I am S weight 56.5 kg and I measure 1.58 and I have been exact, I do not know if I can put a sweater underneath.

Nice fit, beautiful color and style, but returned as it lacked a hood and multiple pockets. Wanted to use as a ski jacket, but a little too lightweight. Would be nice as a cold weather jacket.

I'm hoping it was just this jacket - but the left wrist's opening was noticeably smaller, and pinched (see pic). Also -- it is more of a walk around town jacket - there is no stretch or give in the shoulder area for large movements (like snowball fights). I'm kinda surprised at this, but it is my first puffer jacket so maybe that's how they all are? But it is a gorgeous subtle shimmery dark grey, and it is warm and super soft! SO, I hope I can exchange for one with normal wrist openings.

Fit is a bit odd. Shoulders fairly large in comparison to the torso. I am between a medium and a large and after reading comments, I ordered the large which was HUGE and I returned it. Thanks to the Zappos team for making this easy. The jacket is warm and hits me about mid-butt. Love the zippered pockets. Color is more 'blue' than what I saw on my monitor which has more 'purple' in it. Very pretty color.

This ran small and short, cute but didn't fit me well

Jacket is a little boxy and puffy. Sizing is small. I usually wear a L in jackets and still have room for layers. I had to get a XL and doesn’t have enough room for layers, maybe a few thin layers. I think the arms are a little short. The shiny dark blue looks more purple. I kept it because it will be good for errands & going to the gym because it’s light weight and warm. It’s not for skiing or boarding. Keep looking unless you can get this 30% or more discounted.

Good product- didn't like how the shoulders were a bit boxy but overall good buy and great price.

This was my 2nd North Face jacket from Zappos. Other one fit great. THIS JACKET, however, was extremely big in the shoulder area - like football pads big. BTW, I do not have a petite frame either. Far from it. Strange because rest of jacket fit perfectly, maybe a tad shorter than what I like. Definitely going back.

This jacket is nice, comfortable, light and keep you warm all time that you wearing.
