I didn't realize that these don't tie and are a slip on sneakers. My son has trouble keeping his sneakers on even when they tie so we are returning these.

CAREFUL!!!! These are slip-ons. I didn’t realize this until they arrived. My son wanted to keep them so I cut out the elastic laces and laced them with different ones so he could actually tie. Only reason I gave them 3 stars for “overall”

Son loves the shoe. Didn’t realize it was elastic laced until it arrived. Only problem so far is one shoe slips a little.

These shoes do not have real laces that you can tighten and tie. They slip on, and have elastic, non-adjustable laces. That isn't totally clear from the description. As my daughter needed running shoes that could be adjusted and tied snugly, we are returning these.

Beware these shoes have elastic - not tie up laces. Love the blue color, but I'm a little wary of the laces - how long with they last?

I purchased these for my 5 year old who has been wearing a different style of new balance sneakers. He felt these were too tight even with the wide width. I think because of the lace style they are tighter than other sneakers. I had to send these back.

Unfortunately, the elastic laces were not tight enough and the heel slipped up when my son ran, so we returned the shoes.

The shoes are a half size too large. It is a slip on shoe not a lace up. I did not see that in the description. Too bad. I guess we will just save them until my son's feet fit them.

My son rips through sneakers pretty easily, but he got a hole on the side of this under 2 months. I wouldn't buy this style again for a very active child.

This shoe looked good, BUT due to the elastic laces it couldn't be tightened on my son's foot. The quality was poor and seemed as if they would not last if they had even fit. The elastic laces were stretched out and seemed to have been worn, but the bottom of the shoe was new which tells me it's the quality of the materials. We expect more from new balance. Thankfully it was easy to return!

It's a great looking shoe, but wish I had read the description as these are slip-ons, not tied laces. This is fine for everyday wear, but does not offer enough support when running or other physical activity because you can't tighten the laces. My 10 year old called them useless for gym class....which was the whole point of buying them.

My son loved these shoes and never struggled with them slipping. However, compared to our usual New Balance kids shoes, the quality was very poor. Even within a few weeks the logo had come off, and the fabric is not durable.

These looked great, but because they are slip on, they didn't stay tight on my son's feet.

There DO NOT have shoe laces! I should have read the description and reviews, but I didn’t so I was expecting regular shoe laces. They just have flimsy elastic holding the shoe together instead of laces.

These have elastic bands for laces, and you can't make them tighter. They fell off my son within minutes of play. I didn't notice, or read that this was the style. Love the look and colors, but don't stay on.

These are NOT running sneakers. I bought them for my 6th grade cross country runnner and I didn't realize (my mistake) that these are SLIP ON. They claim you can 'tighten' the laces but they won't hold. I'm returning for a New Balance with ties.

The laces are very strange. They do not tie and my son wore them one day and it came unglued.

The size was perfect but the design of the shoe is bad. They do not tie, and they aren't tight enough to stay on my son's feet. He was disappointed because he really liked them. Had to return.

These fit fine, but I would highly discourage anyone from getting these. My daughter had worn them for less than 3 weeks and the laces have already stretched out, a shoe like this needs a Velcro strap. I’m very disappointed.

So sad that these didn't work. The shoe laces don't tie-- they're elastic. A great idea but in execution doesn't work. The shoes were too loose for my son and there is no way to tighten them. I still love New Balance, but this design needs some work.

Comfort and style are fine, but the adhesive on the toe started peeling off within an hour of my son putting them on.
