My son (age 10) is hard on shoes. These are his new official favorites. It’s the first time he’s asked to have multiple pairs of the same shoe! The fit is spot-on, and as silly as this sounds, the laces used stay tied. Definitely would purchase again.

Description is pigment/ black. They are navy blue. And just what we were looking for. New balance are the best, if not the only, extra wide fitting. Excellent shoe.

Seems like a well made shoe that will hold up with active use. Super grateful for Zappos quick shipping, as I ordered half a size too big at first. We ordered the same exact shoe because my son loved it so much.

Purchased these for my 5 y/o who typically wears a 13. The 13 was too tight and his toe was right up to the tip. We exchanged for a13.5 and it was perfect. The exchange process was painless. Great service.

I bought these for my 8 year old son. He loves them and says they are super comfortable. I've purchased several New Balance shoes for him. And it does seem that we consistently go up in size. He wears a wide width and finds the NB shoes to be so much more comfortable than any other we try. NB is one of the very few brands that offer the wide width for kids. Thanks NB for offering these extended sizes!! Also, I found the tread on these to be more durable. The soles were also thicker and made of tougher rubber. They feel well- made and appear to be shoes that will last.

My son currently wears a size 12 in asics but a size 11 in NB. I've always found their sizes to be off from most manufacturers. Normal with is fine even with his SureStep braces on.

Very nice looking shoe - but much stiffer than we had anticipated. I’m guessing it would have loosened up eventually - but we returned it.

Very disappointed. My 10 year old wore these just one day to school, only indoors. The color on the toe rubbed off immediately. We are die hard New Balance fans and this was a major disappointment.

Bought these as a lighter weight option to the other heavier NB shoes in XW to fit over my son's SMOS. What a great option to have now that his is out of infant size shoes.

I can wear shoes just as these to work in retail and they do really well for me. I now have them in four colors!

Great quality material and love the colors. Prefer to get my son’s shoes extra wide so his toes don’t rub and these were perfect.

Great shoes for my little man! He loves them!

My son is 8yrs and wanted red and black NB shoes. The other style I wanted to get (only because he has worn them before) was sold out, and after reading many reviews, found these and they were available in the color he wanted, so I went for it! He is very happy with them. They fit well, and of course, the color is just what he wanted.

My Grandson has wide feet and I can always find New Balance sneakers on Zappos for him. These fit him great, have good support and are well made. Great for school and for playground activities.

My son has AFOs and the xwide shoes are a great fit for him. He loves being able to wear stylish shoes!!

These shoes were true to size and fit my son well. He can be tough on shoes but these have lasted a long time so far. The material and type of shoe this is provided the flexibility he needs for his active lifestyle.

My 9 yo son is super rough on shoes. He has torn/worn thru nike running shoes needing a replacement about every 6 mo. I needed a shoe that had a more sturdy front rubber lip- and this one should last a bit longer for him. I switched to NB because of them being american made and they just look more sturdy. my son likes them a lot.

He felt like he had to break them in but this took maybe once after wearing. They actually seem more like a navy deep navy than a black but they can pass for either. Great shoe for wide feet. Seem durable but it has only been 2 weeks.

Perfect fit for wide little feet

We bought these in both a tie and Velcro option. Same style just one with laces and the other a Velcro option. These fit narrow compared to the Velcro option. Besides that no complaints
