I love Born brand shoes, and I despise dress shoes. I thought the former would win out over latter. Alas, no. I am always on the hunt for the mythical dress shoe which stays on my feet without conscious effort and doesn't cause an unbearable amount of pain. This mostly stayed on my feet. I was able to wear it three times, each for a max of about 15 minutes before I couldn't take the pain anymore. Then again, I have very sensitive feet. Your mileage may vary. Enclosing a photo of where it hurt.

Nice looking shoe, although the suede seems a bit delicate for footwear. I've been looking for a square toe pump, but no luck with these — the topline started to irritate my foot at the base of my big toe and while I could've convinced myself it was within the bounds of acceptable for a pair of pumps, I suspect that even with moderate wear (like walking a few blocks to the subway), it would start to hurt and potentially blister by the end of the day. I am willing to compromise a bit of comfort when dressing for business, but these didn't make the cut. I think a person with feet that are narrow at the toes would fare better, although I'd still be very careful with the suede.

Great style for work; however, have to return--toe box too stiff. Would not be able to walk from Building A to Building D in comfort.

I originally bought a 7W and sadly the were too tight. The shoe looked great on my feet and did not look clunky. I decided to try a 7 1/2W and they are perfect! I am so excited to finally find a pair of shoes that do not squash my poor toes.

I have had good luck with Born for my not-quite-narrow feet, but these are a big disappointment. The leather is very stiff and it cuts into the top of my foot just where my toes start. There's little padding in the footbed. They looked like they'd be comfortable, but by the end of a day I can't wait to get them off. I'm hoping they break in, but I'm not hopeful. I'll probably look for something similar by Sofft next.
