Great coat for cool/ cold weather for sure. I’ve been trying to find a North Face jacket that would fit my busty chest and look cute; this does that and more. I had to go up a size to accommodate my chest but wasn’t a huge issue. As I was told the jacket is not waterproof so something to keep in mind.

This jacket is a good length. I returned it because it is basically a column, with two horizontal panels at the waist that taper in. On me, it created the effect of "puffy on top, puffy at the bottom, and cinched in the middle". Not a good look. I thought the North Face Metropolis parka (which I kept), was a better fit for me because it tapers in gradually from the top and bottom, creating a more flattering silhouette.

A work trip to Scotland (in the winter) prompted my search for a coat that would keep me warm and dry, provide coverage past my waist and could be used for work and play. I debated between this coat and an Eddie Bauer one. While the Eddie Bauer one was on sale - I did not like the fur collar especially since it doesn't stand up well to rain. I'm very happy with this purchase despite the cost. I wore it on the plane ride to Scotland and it didn't feel bulky when worn or carried. It's rained and lightly snowed where I'm at for work and the coat has protected me from the elements and kept me warm walking to and from work, lunch and dinner spots, etc. I also know it will work great with all my casual wear when I get home too. Love this coat!

This jacket is so warm!! I live in North Dakota so the temperature gets very cold, but I can stay warm in this jacket! This jacket is good quality and doesn't loose its feathers. It's the perfect length with tall boots. It's warm but it doesn't make you feel like a penguin because you can still walk normal in the jacket. It's the perfect jacket and worth the money! I'm 5'6'' 140 lbs and the medium is perfect. In the image under the jacket I have on a flannel and a North Face Puff Vest.

Love this Parka... I am a size 2 to 4 and 5'2 and the extra small fits perfectly even with a heavy wool sweater underneath. The length is just what i wanted without being to long. If you like a looser fit the small might work out well for you. The shape of the coat is flattering as it tapers at the waist. And oh so very warm. I bought to wear in cold mountain climates after skiing and it has met all my expectations. Worth the price as this will be a keeper for years. I got in the black as of course goes with all. It is toasty warm and very light, that cozy feeling you like to keep wrapped on your body. And one very important factor is it is pack-able....can roll up to fit in a very tiny space and come out looking great.

I tried the Miss Metro Parka II, the Metropolis Parka II, and the Gotham Parka II, and this was my least favorite. I really didn't like the elastic in the waist, and it looked silly on me. The Miss Metro Parka II felt warmer and had a covered zipper with snaps. I did not try the coats outside because they all ran a bit small for me. I am fairly slim (5'5" and 120 lb) and I can wear a small, but I think I would prefer a medium for the times I have a heavier layer underneath. I am going to try the Miss Metro II in medium.

If you are heavy busted, not for you. The jacket tapers, then becomes large at the bottom, but makes it look like you have a giant chest and an even bigger stomach... did not work for me :(

Warm jacket and very stylish. However, it's not worth the purchase. I've noticed the this jacket's material is MUCH less durable compared to the material of the similar style jackets from other brands (e.i. Patagonia). I got this jacket last Christmas, but didn't wear it much until this year. Feathers come out EVERYWHERE, I already have two holes in it, and there are strings sticking out from stitching that is loose in many places. This is all from very gentle use. If I'm planning on doing any sort of activity besides walking to and from my car for work I make sure I put on something else yet my jacket is still a mess. I really wanted to love it, but it's too cheaply made.

I carefully chose this coat over many others in preparation for my trip to Iceland in January. It was the perfect choice! It kept me warm, dry, and protected from the wind in some pretty nasty weather, I'd highly recommend the Gotham jacket!

Super cute and warm! Not too bulky and fits true to size. The waist cinches in a bit too which gives a more feminine shape. I got the taupe green and it is so pretty. Definitely recommend.

Love this jacket! I ordered and kept a medium as the small was a bit snug around the chest and torso because of the fitted and tapered style/design. I’m 5’2” and 135 pounds. It fits a bit long because of my height but it kept me extra warm during a recent northeast trip. It’s perfect weight and thickness for 30s/40s temperatures.

This coat runs small, especially if you are a busty woman. I had to go up a size, from an XL to a 2XL I order to zip it over my chest. The navy blue is gorgeous, and the fabric is super lightweight. It’s not as warm as the Arctic coat, but it is so much lighter and easier to pack that I prefer it.

In love with this coat!! I'm 5'11 and Northface coats are often too short for my arms Bc I need a small. I got the Gotham in a small and it was plenty long in the arms. This coat is fitted but still roomy enough for a sweater underneath. I live in south Mississippi so I certainly don't need a coat to withstand below freezing temps but this one will certainly hold up to all our winter weather! Love love love it!!

I purchased this jacket in May of this year in Brit Blue and I love it. I was looking for a relatively lightweight longer parka but not too long since I am 5'4". This jacket is just the right length - long but not too long. I like the way the hood fits. Some of my raincoats have hoods that don't fit well and block my vision when put on. This hood fits great- it is warm but doesn't affect my visibility at all. I don't think it is listed as waterproof but it is water resistant as I wore it out in light rain this past weekend and held up well with no umbrella. I am 5'4" about 132 lbs and the medium fits well, with room to layer a sweater under it.

I'm 5'5", 140 lbs, 34D and the medium fits well - just slightly snug in the chest but I'm keeping it because I LOVE this taupe/green color, it's easily pack-able (great for work trips), is really warm and cute. I also ordered a large to try it on and was disappointed that it has a camouflage liner (it was also way too big on me). My medium has a plain green liner and looks great - Zappos, why can't we choose which liner we want so we aren't surprised/disappointed when the coat arrives??

Great all-around jacket; from running errands to traveling to business meetings. Hood is great on windy days. Length matches tunic length shirts and sweaters for a more polished look.

North Face Fan!!! Not only are North Face coats and parkas warm, they have extended sizes for women that do not look like shapeless moo moos. The color is great, it fits like a glove and since I have to wear a XXL because of my large breasts, it doesn’t look shapeless on me. These jackets also hold up over the rest of time. This jacket is a replacement for one that I lost that was purchased 7 years ago. I still have an older jacket that I purchased in 2006 that’s still just as warm in 2019. You can never go wrong with the purchase of a North Face coat. It’s a great investment.

I love this coat! I liv in Chicago where it is often cold and windy. This coat keeps me warm and dry even in some of our worst weather. It's very warm without feeling too bulky or heavy and protects well against the wind and snow.

This is a great coat for cold winters. I wear mine through the winter in Minnesota. Great comfort and functionality. Fits true to size. There is gathering at the waist that I have mixed feelings about. It gives your waist some definition but also adds sort of a "bustle" look to your backside. Overall, I like my TNF "metropolis' coat better on style, but this one also does the job of keeping you warm.

This arrived just in time to deal with the polar vortex. Warm and stylish and gives longer coverage. Cinches at the waist, giving a nice fitted look. My daughter wanted a blue parka and this was perfect. Northface sizing tends to be snug. Size medium fits a size 8.

This was given to me as a gift by my awesome bff, and it has instantly become my favourite winter jacket. It's super comfortable, very durable, warm and looks great (on me). The couple of negative reviews on this jacket are frankly quite ridiculous. People rated the coat 1 star or 2 stars because they don't have the coat in their size, they felt the colour didn't suit them, or the sleeves were too long for their arms? That's not at all an issue with the quality of the coat, merely their personal opinion. If you try on a coat and decide you don't like how it looks or feels, it doesn't make it a bad coat. It's like a 7 foot 300 pound man trying to fit into a small compact car and giving it a 1 rating because he wasn't comfortable in it.

This jacket fits true to size. It is comfortable and warm and even seems to be pretty waterproof. It definitely has a puffer jacket look to it, but the warmth makes up for the puffiness! I’m 5’2” so it is a little long, but overall it is a great jacket!
