I am 5'9 & 130lbs and a true size 9. I Underpronate (supinate) severely on my right leg and pretty Neutral on my left. I run about 50 to 60 road miles per week with at least two 10 milers in there. So i like my shoe comfy and i like my runs amazing! I bought these sneakers in a size 9.5 since it’s winter and winter socks are in order. However, even though i sized up for winter I’ve noticed my “Splaying” runner’s toes actually require a 9.5 in all sneakers every run season, and it feels better this way. Back to the Wildhorse4. These are true to its name. It’s like a horse for real. Stable, Solid & Sturdy. They do not require breaking-in as much as they require getting used too. The fit of trail sneakers are very different from regular running sneakers and I got these to run snow, ice and rain days this winter. They are hard and hugs your mid-foot securely!!! No ankle rolling here and a FOR SURE guided forefoot landing! There is a form-fitting-semi-Stretch band that goes across the forefoot and mid-foot (bright Orange on my sneaks) that made these sneakers hard to get into, but within the 1st mile I understand it. This is that Secure-fit & Stability in action. These felt true to size. But size up if you will be wearing winter warm running socks. Overall i love the Wildhorse4. I have to get used to the tight instep, but the toe box is wide enough for swelling during runs. The run is not smooth and light, but rather STURDY and SECURE. It’s a must have for runs on those trail days, snow days, slushy ice and rain days. Great addition to the runner’s stable!

Great trail running or hiking shoes. Not too heavy, but offer enough support. They are also cute colors - not too bright. The light blue does show dirt pretty well, but then you look tough. I'm an8.5 in regular shoes, so bought a 9, but may go up a size on my next pair as my feet swell when I jog and these always feel tight after an hour. One complaint - the laces are a little thin and short, so if I did need to tighten them more, there would barely be room to tie them.

Not loving the updated Wildhorse as much as the previous models. Too stiff/ padded around the collar putting extra pressure around that part of my foot below ankles. I wouldn't have needed to order up a half size as I did with previous versions either. Kind of wish I had just bought Wildhorse 3 before model runs out, but now stuck with these.

Lacing system bot as good as Wildhprse 3, makes shoes crinkles and look much older. Around the abkle the wildhorse 4 has a sharp piece and hurts my ankle bone. I will be returning these as flawed! I miss the Wildhorse 3!

Awesome for hiking trails! Caught me from falling on loose rocks at least a couple of times.

This is a great looking shoe! I ordered the 9 and 9.5 but kept the 9.5. I have a narrow foot and felt fully supported through the midfoot while having an appropriately roomy toe box. They're not as comfortable as my Saucony Excursions but they're definitely more stylish.

I went with the other reviews and ordered a half size up. Feels too big though. I should have gone with my usual size.

I still have to insert a maximum arch insole to these. They fit as expected with enough room in the toe box. No pain or discomfort from the shoe when running or walking. The inside lining that is sewn to the opening of the shoe where the shoe laces attach is ripping and seems to detach more and more with use. Not sure if this will effect the overall longevity and fit of the shoe or interfere with performance. Tere is no way to re-sew this by hand unless you have ultra small hands and the patience to force the needle into an already made shoe. Stronger thread should have been used in this area as this is the opening of the shoe and tying of the laces exposes it to lots of pulling and stretching. It doesnt seem to be a problem now and i have been using it for about a month. I have been using the same shoe in a diferent color for about a year and have no problems but see the same cloth detaching. This is a great running shoe in spite of this problem.

I love these! I got them to use for a 13 mile hike and they worked great! I didn't get any blisters and because I had broke them in before the hike my feet felt fine afterwards. I usually order a half size bigger for my running shoes, and these did seem smaller than a normal 8, but for hiking they worked great, but if I was using them for trail running I would have ordered an 8 1/2.

Truly amazed by this shoe! I was skeptical about trying this shoe brand as they usually run narrow my feet. With a Brannock device, I measure to be an 11B. I went up a full size for running (12B) and they fit great!! The tread is great for all types of terrain - road, trails, compacted dirt, etc. It knows no boundaries! It's really great to have a shoe which can adapt to multiples type of surfaces.

I usually only like Nike for style and not for exercising but I love these shoes. The fit my wide foot and give great arch support. They have been great shoes for hiking.

I normally wear a 6.5 in shoes. I ordered these in a 7, which is what I normally order Nikes in. They are super comfortable. I wanted a hiking/trail running shoe that wasn't too heavy. They are perfect. They were comfortable right out of the box. No break in time needed.

I love these shoes. I have suffered from posterior tibial tendonitis for about 5 years. I could not get rid of the pain no matter what shoe I wore or what insert I tried. I finally gave up and just bought some shoes I liked since it didn't seem to matter. These shoes are narrow fitting which is perfect for my narrow foot. The first time I put them on they fit like a glove and held my foot in such a way that I had no pain. I do not use any orthotics with this shoe. My foot has not hurt since I put these shoes on. I have purchased another pair since my initial purchase just because I love them so much. The colors are a little funky which I like. I think Nike hit a home run with this shoe. I cannot say enough good things about it.

Great trail running shoe. It’s responsive enough on uphills but also cushy on downhills. Highly recommend.

I’ve always found Nike’s to run small so I ordered a half size up and they were perfect. I took them out on a 20 mile training run soon after buying and they felt great the whole way, no discomfort, rubbing or blisters. Looking forward to wearing these for my first trail ultra.

Style runs at least a full size small. Also if you have high instep (which I do) it was hard to get foot in sneaker due to tongue design. If you size up and have a low instep the shoe may work for you.

To help me decide if it's the right shoe, I like to wear new shoes for a day around my house doing various activities. I fell in love with this shoe until toward the end of the day I started getting a pain to the outside of my right ankle every time I walked? It was the cut of the shoe that was digging into my ankle right on the bone that did it in. Have to send them back, I'm SO disappointed they didn't work out - otherwise they are an awesome fit!

I have always bought Nikes in the same size and these fit as expected. they are firm around my arch which is very comfortable. There is no pain at all from any part of the shoe including the ankle area. I run on all-terrain including downhill, and these cushion a large amount of impact. They also keep sand out as long as you tighten them enough. I am very impressed by these shoes. I am transitioning from minimalist shoes and the amount of padding takes getting used to along with this being a much heavier shoe. I wish I could have them in some of the other colors as well.

More cushioning under the heel than the average shoe, and much lighter than most trail running shoes. Minimal drop too (I think 4mm) makes it so you can still have contact with the ground but the cushioning still provides great support. A little hot since they are form fitting around the midfoot. Not a prob if you're running in cooler weather!

I ordered these for an upcoming trip to Hawaii, and will use them for hiking. I ordered a size 7 based on an old pair of Nike Darts. They fit perfectly right out of the box. I’m breaking them in slowly, but I don’t think a break in period is really necessary, except perhaps to get use to the sole. I’ve worn them with FITS light hiker crew socks and thinner, non-hiking socks. They feel great with both type of socks.

Love these running shoes. I run in the Sierra nevadas and the rock plate protects my feet from all the rocks/debris on the trails. Excellent on ascent and descent because they are light weight and the differential is enough to protect the calf from too much pull on the climb. Toe box allows my foot to splay and still gives me a stable and protected ride. As a neutral/underpronator runner with loose ankles, I roll my foot a lot on the rocks and this shoe minimized ankle torque.

These sneakers fit like a glove! I normally wear a size 10, but these tend to run shorter in length so I went with a 10.5. I haven't tried running in them yet, but am sure I will love them!
