I wear a size 8 and sometimes prefer a 7.5 in sandals. The size chart says I wear a 39, but it is a full size too big. If you are like me order a 38 in Birkenstock. Anthracite is a gray-brown and pairs well with grays and olive greens. Hope this helps.

Love these sandals! I got the grey color and they go with everything. The fit is basically the same as my Birkenstock Gizeh style. I am an 8.5 and I wear a 38. These are very comfortable and can be worn all day. I thought the "toe thing" might bother me, but the inside of the Birkflor is fuzzy and soft and I don't really notice it at all.

Usually I would give this sandal 5 stars, but today the toe loop broke. I've have them for two years and am used to having Birkenstocks for far longer. Usually the rubber or cork wear out before the leather. Be warned that the silver and gold versions have a leather veneer with mostly felt body. Very disappointed.

I Love these shoes over the years I have had many different styles and colors. These are my favorite by far and so comfortable!

These are my second pair of Birkenstocks, but the first pair of the Mayari style. I ordered these In Bordeaux because I love the color red. I wear size 41 and have wide feet and a low to average arch. I found these comparable to my Gizeh style that I have had for years in terms of comfort. Some people say they take awhile to break in, however, I did not find that to be true for myself. They color is pretty, although, when I think of Bordeaux, I think of a darker red. I still love the color, but I would describe it more like a tomato red. Now I want to order these in another color!

I was on the fence in terms of size. Zappos recommended a best fit size and I went with it. They fit perfectly. Thanks Zappos!

It has been 10-15 years since I last wore a pair of Birkenstocks and am thrilled that they're back in style. I had brown leather Arizonas back then and went with the anthracite Mayaris for what I felt was a more grown up & feminine look now that I'm in my 30s. The color is perfect and, as another reviewer said (which sold me on the color, as I debated between this and sand), anthracite goes with everything and won't show dirt. I have a wide foot and wear 7.5-8 in sandals. The 38 in these fit just right.

As always Birkenstocks never fail to amaze me with their comfort and great look!!! The anthracite color is awesome and will go with everything!

Great sandals. Comfortable from the first wearing. The birkoflor is especially soft. I wear an 8 but always buy Birks size 38 for a tight fit.

Normally wear a size 7 shoe but in the Birkenstock I had to go down a size, something to keep in mind.

I love the Birkenstock sandals. I just wish Zappos carried more European size 36 in Birkenstocks. Hard to fine.

I think these sandals are my favorites of all time! I'll admit that when I took removed them from the box I was worried when I saw how wide the toe area was. However, my toes are happy about the additional room.? I love that there are so many holes in the straps, enabling me to get the perfect fit. The thing that makes me happiest, though, is that the toe loop doesn't collapse when my toe isn't in it! (FYI for any perfectionists: There are a few small glue globs on these sandals. It doesn't bother me but it might bother others.)

Comfortable right out of the box and love the color. I usually wear a 6 to 6.5, but in Birkenstock I always go down one size and they fit perfectly.

Perfect. I have worn the Mayari style for many years and have 25 pairs. This is the only shoe that does not aggravate my toes' issues.

Runs big so I ordered one size down. Love the color and style. It’s comfortable I use it all day and for walking.

I do wish these came in half sizes. With that being said I adore these sandals. My feet fit comfortably in them, not snug. I have long toes and when I stretch them they go over the front, but I have no problems while walking.

I normally wear size 8-8 1/2, but based on other reviews, ordered a size smaller and their perfect!

Recently, I bought a cheap, no-brand version of the Birkenstock Mayari style, just to wear around the house. Well, you get what you pay for. Because I did like the general fit of the style, I took a chance and put on my big girl panties and bought the real thing. Man, am I happy with them, right out of the box. The size I bought was 38. Generally, I wear 8 in most regular shoes, 9 in Ugg boots, and 7 in Sperry flip flops. Zappos shipping was super fast, and I live in the boonies. I have worn them for about six hours non-stop, and they feel great! I'm so glad I made the purchase, and can highly recommend the Birkenstock Mayari. I'm sorry I waited so long to buy.

Fits just like all my other Mayari sandals! The red color is pretty and I find I can wear them right out of the box.
