I wear these shoes to Church and other "dress up" functions. I love the fact that the shoes were not too stiff and did not require me to have to "break them in", as they are very comfortable to wear. They also have a lovely satin like shine to them.

Sides of sole are painted black that scratches off easily, turns from black to a tan. comfortable shoe that comes in wide. One full size larger than marked - I wear 12s in other shoes, needed 11s for good fit.

I have both the Stanford and the Corbetta and I prefer the Stanford. The Corbetta is a nice shoe but is more pointy and narrower than it appears in the photos. Overall the Stanford is a much more attractive shoe and uses a more expensive, softer looking leather that is very noticeable. The Corbetta is a nice shoe and I will keep it for occasional wear to the office or evening out.

Happy with the shoe initially. Very comfortable. Reviews are correct that its a bit large. I ordered 1/2 size down and still a bit large. After a week of wear, the black around the edge of the sole is rubbing off and revealing a pinkish color. Another review mentioned this. Very disappointing.
