My typical shoe size is a true 7.5 overall in a shoe. I usually wear a 7 women's in the canvas All Star. These were a little different, being leather vs canvas. I ordered two sizes 7 & 7.5. The 7 was definitely more tight across the foot in general and the 7.5 was better width wise but had a lot of slippage in the heel. Overall this style is more narrow than regular All Stars.... But an awesome looking shoe! I think I'll wear the 7's around the house with a thin footie sock and see it it looses a bit with it being leather and all. The length seems fine, I would have kept the 7.5 if it. Wasn't for the slipping...

Great styling & extremely comfortable.

I got a pair and the style isn't my thing, but It is still comfortable and quality. The shoes do run 1/2 larger so you should order a pair that is 1/2 smaller for it to fit, The shoe also runs narrower than usual.

I wore regular all-stars back when I was younger, but after a time I felt they were too flat and haven't worn them in years. These days I typically like to put a replacement footbed in my shoes like the moldable sole footbed. The problem with doing that with regu;ar chuck-taylors, is that the factory insole can't be removed, and there isn't room for both. This is why my only other pair of "chucks" are the cheapo Airwalk knock offs from payless. You can pull the insole out and replace it with a better one. But it turns out that this is true for the Varvatos Chuck Taylors as well, and they're much better made and cooler looking. While these are slipons, I like to wear them with laces in them, loosely tied, but still as a slip on. I just think it looks better. Another odd thing about this shoe is that the rubber toe cap is leather on the top of the shoe, not rubber. I'm not sure why they're built differently than the standard ones in that respect, but its pretty un-noticeable. It took me a week of wearing them before I noticed it. It seems like it might allow them to wear better and not split where the rubber joins the suede, but... dunno for sure. All in all I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Nice quality! Love the slip on/off factor for airports etc. This shoe ran long and somewhat narrow. I wore the low rise canvas Jack Purcell but the quality has diminished. So I tried these. They are a very different fit. Longer more narrow and at least initially, rigid fit. I was torn about keeping them but I'm not big on breaking in athletic/leisure shoes. I'll wear them inside on hardwood and see if they soften:), before my return.

I got this shoes last week, love it, really cute and like other converse shoes it's comfy. I'd say it's the fancy converse too, not like the typical converse you see all the time. I agree with other reviewers though it is narrow, so if you have wide feet this shoe won't work for you, otherwise if you don't mind paying more for a pair of sneakers go for this style of converse, fashion + comfort = Chuck Taylor All Star Vintage Ox Of course Zappos thanks for fast delivery ð???

Love this shoe! I have three different pair & love them all. Great summer shoe & very comfortable. The perfect blend between comfort & style.

Beautiful, cool shoes. Unfortunately they are made for a narrow foot. I tried the larger size to gain width and it was a little better but rubbed a bit against the outside edge of the toes and I had a much longer shoe. If they had width choices they be awesome.

I have super small feet. Usually 3.5 men's women 5.5 in converse. The 3.5 squished my right foot. I ordered a size four and they are a little loose but I will keep them. Maybe I will get a heal cushion to make them not slip. But my one issue is how narrow they are! I do not have wide feet but the toe area is a lot smaller than all my other converse. As far as the cushioning John varvatos converse have. I do not notice much difference. But if you love this style like I do. Try ordering a half size up!

My husband bought these to replace an old pair of similar Converse. These are so narrow that the side elastics gap showing the black elastic. Going back.
