Love the style but the coloring and fit were both off with these. The color/markings of the leather was weird - literally looked like 2 different shoes on my feet. Also they felt very snug and I always wear a 37 in FP shoes. I actually returned and bought directly from FP and that pair was fine on both issues?

These shoes are not comfortable. Let's start with that. There is no foot support from the little band of leather. The sole is slippery and the insole is hard and flat. They also run huge. Wide and quite long. I'm really not sure if i should go down a size.. or what. The 39 are JUST fitting me. And I'd expect the leather to stretch. I really like these shoes but the weird sizing and uncomfortable features are just not good..

I wear a 6.5 and ordered a 36 in these and they fit perfect. They need a little breaking in but after that, they're super comfy. Because of the design of the shoe, it's a little hard to get them on your feet. I almost have to twist and wiggle my foot around to get them in. These shoes are amazing and worth every penny. Love these sandals!

Absolutely beautiful shoe/sandal but it just doesn't fit me right. Also, it has a totally flat, hard footbed. I can't do that.

Gorgeous shoe overall! The leather is very soft, but needs some breaking in. It's a bit of a wiggle to get in and out of the shoe. I wore them for the first time on a 20 minute walk to do errands and have big blisters on my pinky and big toes. I will try to break them in by wearing a thin sock and wearing around my home. Other than that, they are pretty awesome.

This is my very first review of anything. I feel a little guilty about that because I use others' reviews all the time. I disagree with those who found these to be uncomfortable, I love them. The sizing took some patience but I got it worked out. I'm usually an 8.5, so purchased the 38 but it was much too big. I went down to the 37, which were the right size but the way the leather was sewn it twisted my foot so my big toe was on the edge of the shoe (only the right one). The left one felt great so I gave them a 3rd try by ordering a different 37, and I LOVE them! They are super comfortable. True, there is no arch support but they're sandals. I didn't expect anything else. I bought the light gray and they go with absolutely everything. I'm a bit of a shoe hound and these are currently my favorite shoes in my closet. Thanks, Zappos, for making these returns and reorders so effortless.

I have tried a few sandals with the similar style, but found Free People to surpass in comfort and style. The leather is soft and wraps around well, providing a nice cup for my ankle ( does not slip out easily). I would not say these are comfortable shoes, but they are not extremely uncomfortable either ( found them to be the comfiest out of other look alike sandals). I wear a 7.5 in most shoes (Converse, Toms) and my Birkenstock size is 37. I ordered a 37 and feel they fit great! I still have to wiggle my foot a little to get them on and off, but through use the leather has stretched a bit and they are easier to put on. So excited for this to be my go to Summer sandal!

I purchased the silver because I needed a white sandal and I thought silver would fit the bill. And they were on sale, so that was a plus. I ordered my Birkenstock size 36 and they fit perfectly. Right out of the box they felt already broke in and I walked around all day...no blisters, whatsoever!! Now I need more colors to go with the rest of my wardrobe! Totally reccomend!!

I didn’t purchase mine from Zappo’s, but rather a show boutique. It was a perfect fit, but would not stay on my foot. The back would not stay on my heel no matter what I tried to do to make it stay. I could only find this out after wearing, obviously. However, I purchased them for a shoe, only, boutique and the owner would not allow me to return them even after I showed and proved to her the design malfunction. Zappo’s would have allowed me to return them, therefore no more Tootsie’s Shoes for me. Only Zappo’s as they’d have accepted the return. Live and learn, but Tootsie’s lost a very good customer as shoe’s are my thing.

As soon as I bought these and put them on, within an hour two people bought the same pair! They are beautiful and very well made. The leather is matte and soft, almost velvety. I see some people saying there is no support, which is true because this is a sandal, but I definitely wouldn't say they're uncomfortable at all. Stylish, classic, fits with every outfit. Definitely recommend. I was confused on sizing for a while. I am a true 7.5 with a narrow foot, usually a 38 but I wasn't sure if I should size up, down, or stay true because of various reviews. I initially ordered the 38, and they were fine but definitely roomy. I sized a half size down to a 37.5 and they fit great. My friend has the same size foot as I do, and she ordered a 38 and loves the roominess. So I think either way you go, you'll be fine, it's just whether you like a more snug or loose fit. Because of the style, even if they're loose, they won't come off or be difficult to walk in. Zappos is amazing and I couldn't be happier with their customer service. I almost ordered from another site but I'm so glad I went with Zappos. These shoes are great and I wish I could afford to buy them in every color!

I was COMPELLED to write this. I was VERY skeptical about ordering these but based on reviews I took a chance, ordered 38 when normally Im a 39 in most euro sizes. The 38 are half -ish maybe 1/4 too short. I have narrow flat feet and skinny ankles and these fit like a glove in that regard. NO PINCHING ANYWHERE, NO RUBBING either. Just toes hung off the front a wee bit. (ignore my unpedi-ed toes LOL) Trying 38.5 in diff colors as they are out of the brown ( which btw is a nice cool brownish coffee with cream shade)

These are adorable and surprisingly comfortable! I normally wear a 9.5 or 9.5W so I was nervous that they would be too narrow but they fit great and will stretch a little. I will wear them all the time. The dove grey is a gorgeous color that will go with almost anything.

Love these! Bought them in dove grey, and now have them in red and brown as well. I get a ton of compliments on them . They do take a bit to breaking. On first few wearing you will have to wriggle your foot in a bit. But the soft leather begins to give after 2 wearings But I wore my first pair for a night out with a bit of walking for 4 hours.. no problem Not much for arch supports so I bought some Dr Sholls stick on arch supports, which work great.

I am a 9 1/2 in flats. I had to order a full size up. Like others I could not fit my foot into the shoe. I tried a 10. I had to wedge my foot into it because of its wide band and narrow opening. It was still tight and my toes were at the very edge of the shoe. 3rd time was a charm. My feet fit right in. No break-in period at all. I wore them for 3 days straight and they were great. There was very little stretch in the leather. I was in 90 deg heat & humidity and my feet did swell butthe shoes were still comfortable.

I wanted to love these. I really did. They were gorgeous. The leather was so soft and the fit was ALMOST perfect. They hugged my wide feel comfortably. However, when I walked, the edge of the shoe on the back of the ankle rubbed my foot harshly and I could tell if I were to walk around long enough my lower calf would have been rubbed raw. Also, the toe opening was kind of weird... they made my toes look extra long... like finger toes, haha. Sadly they are going back.

Sizing was perfect I wear 7-7.5 went with 7 they fit great. Love the color.

They were too big and slipped off of my foot. I’d like to order a 7 1/2.

Love these shoes. Also own them in black. Slightly hard to pull on initially but very comfortable. I work at a standing desk all day and these are great all-day shoes.

I’m usually a 7, I went with the 36 and they fit PERFECT. I want this shoe in every color available. These are the perfect sandal, dress them up or down. The leather is so soft, I put them right on and haven’t taken them off. My new favorites!!!

These (along with the closed toe version) are my go-to shoes. They’re unique and stylish...I always get compliments on them. Look great with dresses, skirts, jeans. I normally wear a 6.5 and purchased these in a 36, they fit great. The leather needs to stretch out initially but once it does, they are super comfy!
