I love everything about this shoe. Was looking for gortex mountain bike shoe that did not look like a clunky mattress on my foot. Sole is very grippy and integrates well in studs on pedals for rock solid contact. The shoe is very tough and stands up to abrasion. Goes from completely muddy to clean with a quick spray of the hose. The lace system is very sturdy and the laces have a little garage near the toe. Sole is comfortable but firm enough for moderate cross training, doesn't feel like a spongy running shoe when lifting weights. Waterproof is great for creek crossings.

I should start off by letting potential buyers I have been looking for a shoe like this for 5+ years. Yeah, crazy I know. I never pulled the trigger because I didn't like anything better than a 14 year old pair of shoes these were intended to replace. This is literally the best shoe I could ask for. The quality is there, the fit is spot on, the style is decent. The shoe does look much better in person. I just got these and took them on a 10 mile mountain bike ride then followed that up with a 3 mile hike/run. The shoe literally does exactly what it was intended to do. Lightweight but not wimpy feeling. Great stability. The sole is fantastic in the conditions I encountered, sand, gravel, rocks, dirt, grass. I imagine it would do well in packed snow as well. GoreTex. Honestly, super excited about this shoe.

I really like these shoes. The quality is outstanding! So far I really like the lacing system and the ease of taking them on/off. I did some light hiking and they performed as expected with excellent grip on loose gravel/dirt. They are lighter than expected and comfortable. I plan on putting them through a thorough test hiking on the North shore of Lake Superior. The only issue I've had is some heel slippage, I have narrow feet and a higher arch so it's to be expected with certain shoes. This is my first time buying this brand and I would definitely recommend it.

I really wanted to like these shoes, but they were too narrow for my feet. They also seemed to be about 1/2 a size smaller than normal. I liked the style and features, just too narrow for me. Hopefully you will have better luck.

I have hiked many thousands of miles in the mountain and have owned many shoes by different brands but I have never worn a shoe worse than this Salewa Multi Track GTX shoe. It feels like walking in a brick with a ill-fitted hole inside for your foot. Everything about this shoe is bad. I tried running, hiking and walking in the shoe, hoping that it needs some time to adjust to my feet but it only made my feet sore in all the possible places that can feel sore. If these shoes cost 10 dollars, I would have forgotten about them, but at this price the way the shoe is designed is outright offensive. I have no idea who designed it and if that person has ever been to the mountains. PS. They do keep your sore feet dry though!
