first, technical fit: have been running in Gravity shoes for years, and this one all of a sudden is bruising my toe - new design feels like it lets my foot slip forward. Second, can we ditch the hot pink? Just because we are female doesn't mean we need pink shoes.

I love these shoes, but they definitely aren't for everyone. They have a very low heel-to-tow drop, they're very light, and they don't have a lot of cushion. For me, that means they're one of the few shoes that don't cause knee pain and shin splints. I also like the "lugs" and how they affect my stride, though I know that some people have a hard time getting used to them. I saw the other comment about the color. Mine are very bright pink, and the color seems accurate.

I wore these for the first time four days after completing a half marathon. They felt amazing. They have more cushioning than the Gravity 5. This picture is nothing like the real color. This shows them as a bright medium pink but in person they are darker and what I would describe as fuchsia.

I'm not sure what Newton's done, but the sole wears out very quickly! I only got 173 miles out of this shoe and the inner side of the front of the heel (close to the midfoot) wore down so much that my foot tilts inward when I stand on it. I had to stop using these at that point because I was getting a lot of pain in my ankle when I tried to run in these shoes. I've been running in Newton Gravity since 2008 (as well as other Newton models) and I normally get 300+ miles out of them before the soles give out, so I expect better for the price. I can not recommend this model.
