I purchased these sneakers in search of a stylish shoe with a lot of support. From the moment I tried them on to walking miles at Disney I absolutely fell inlove them. These shoes have the support I need (need full knee replacement soon) and was very pleased.

Huge fan of the Clifton's and decided to try the Clayton for a half marathon. They worked great... I really liked the feel on the ground - light and supportive. Ran my way to 1st in my age, so I'm sold on the Clayton for race day and speed workouts!

I love this shoe! I just bought my second pair and the newest version did not disappoint. I originally bought this shoe as the long distance alternative to my favored shoe - Altra Impulse - but I have since discovered that this is an all in one shoe for me. My short runs are effortless in these light and responsive shoes but my feet are protected and supported from the additional pounding of a marathon distance. I did switch out the shoe liner in both pairs. In this version, I found that the shapeless liner caused my foot to slide around within the shoe a bit but it was a simple fix using a liner from another pair of running shoes I have laying around. This shoe is roomy and I have a slender foot. These felt a little wide and sloppy at first but my feet were happy once I found the correct lacing tension for my midfoot and heel.

I absolutely love these shoes! This is my second pair and I couldn't wait for the new model to drop. They are very light weight, responsive and fast, yet feel very stable on quicker runs or during race conditions. They are my go to shoe for faster tempo training runs and triathlons. They have been great for distances from 5k to the half marathon. The shoes are very comfortable from day one out of the box!

I went with the Oiselle version of this shoe to avoid easter bunny colors. This shoe is amazing! light and comfortable. I've steered away from Hoka the past few years because of the often narrow toe boxes in their shoes. That is not the case with the Clayton. These shoes feel natural and are very lightweight.

I alternate the Clayton 2 with the Clifton 3 and the Arahi. I have only ran in the Clayton in shorter distances, 5 miles or less thus far. I really enjoy running in them, they are light and airy, like running on clouds, don't even realize I have shoes on at times. I have worn them with compression socks and running socks, so far, no rubbing nor hot spots. Clifton 3 is still my favorite though.

I am a senior endurance athlete with lots of joint and arthritic issues. During a triathlon there is quite a bit of strain on my old body and by the time I get to the run I am aching...these things feel like I am jumping onto a cloud! They are so lightweight and responsive at the same time! Also with an average width foot and narrow heels I often have an issue with slipping and these stay firmly planted on my feet. The fabric is amazing and very breathable...my feet stay dry and comfortable. I am a fan!

My husband bought his Hokas a few months ago and immediately started nagging that I just had to buy a pair. I thought the shoes I had were fine but boy was I wrong! My new Hokas are so comfortable I don't even change my shoes when we get home from our morning walk. I have very wide feet and these are the first shoes I've ever owned that don't scrunch my toes up. Thank you Hoka!!! Lake Walker .

Overall, the shoe is great. Very comfortable even after a long run. The only thing is the bottom is relatively smooth and did not provide as much traction as I would have liked.

I now am the proud owner of three pairs of Clayton 2 HOKA shoes, all different colors! I am on my feet all day, and have been wearing them daily to work. My only negative comment is that the dark navy blue Clayton 2 shoes did not fit quite as well, and caused blisters on my toes the first day they were worn (worn a full day while travelling). Blisters nearly healed now. I am wearing the shoes again without problems. The other two pairs of Clayton 2s have fit like a dream, and I would give them 5 stars.

I found these to be OK for shorter runs, but as soon as my mileage started to climb, the shoes became problematic. The soles are thick (they're Hokas, after all), and I think that keeps them from moving with my feet. As a result, when my legs start to get tired, and I begin to pronate a bit (which these, moderate stability shoes are supposed to help with), my foot slides inside the shoe, and I start to develop blisters/hot spots. I went down half a size from my usual shoe size, and the problem persists; the shoes aren't too big, there's just a design flaw somewhere that doesn't allow them to move with you. I'll keep the shoes for shorter runs, because I love the color. I would love to find a Hoka that would accommodate my mild pronation, while still being super responsive.

I have a pair of challenger 2's that i fell in love with. I couldnt seem to find them anywhere, so i thought I'd give these a try. They are nowhere near as comfortable amd I was highly dissapointed in them. I sent the shoes back. Have since purchased the clifton 4 and am happy with those. I WILL continue to purchase Hokas as they are the most comfortable running shoes I've ever found. I just won't be inclined to buy online again.

I am size 8 in W. Bought size 7.5 in W - they are too big. I am afraid size 7 in W will be way too small. So ... these shoes are for the women with the "pinguin" type of feet - wide, low arch ... 1. size issue 2. the toe box is too wide/large 3. the arch area is too wide / large 4. the heel box is too loose. 5. the sole is way too soft - while walking the heel is moving inside the shoes up and down, up and down

I tried the first Claytons, and loved them except that they were too narrow mid-foot and rubbed blisters on the inside of my arch. Bought these as soon as they came out hoping the problem was fixed...it was not! I've been running for many years and have never had a problem like this with multiple other brands. I love Hoka as they're the only shoes I can run long distance in without pain from a hallux limitus toe problem...I currently run in the Bondi, and have a love/hate relationship with them. They prevent my toe pain, but I hate that they just feel clunky and slow at times. Guess my search for a sleeker, trimmed down rocker shoe continues! Bottom line: if you had a blister problem with the last Clayton, you will with these too.

Something about the insole hurts my arch. It feels like it is cutting in. Also, I thought it was more padded in the front and it's not.

The Clayton 1 was my favorite shoe of all time. Call this shoe what you will, but please don't call it a "Clayton." Clayton 1 had a perfectly structured sole that gently encouraged a roll onto the forefoot. The only thing this shoe "encourages" is to run home and put on a different one. Clayton 1 was perfect- a light, responsive alternative to the occasionally too-soft Clifton. The Clayton 2 might aptly be named the "squish, sink and stop." It is now more squishy life the Clifton, but without the soft support and lacks the responsiveness and "roll" of Clayton 1. You sink, you squish, you stop. No roll, no go.
