I needed a new waterproof athletic shoe for walking on wet golf course. I have owned and loved my Salomon Speedcross 3 and 4, but suffered several sole delaminations over the years from the shoes I wore on the golf course. So time for a change I have owned and Loved my ASOLO hiking boots and they have held up through years of hard use. And they look as good as when I first bought them. So I thought I would try out the Nucleon GV (Goretex / Vibram combo). Shoe is expensive, but immediately feels like quality. Not as comfortable initially as the Speedcross, but has improeved in the first few days. TOTALLY waterproof even in the puddles, feels great, looks great and so far I am a happy user. Will update if my experience changes

This brand is known for excellent hiking boots but should also be praised for comfortable shoes to wear all day without pain. I work as an IT service tech and am on my feet for most of the day and wear asolo shoes daily....superb comfort and construction in a modern edgy design. Not really viable if you are required to dress up, but for daily walking or hiking rough terrain, these beast are my go to.

I love these shoes! I have plantar fasciitis and my feet are generally in pain within a couple of hours of putting on less supportive shoes. I can wear these shoes for hours with no discomfort. Comfortable fit and true sizing. These are the best shoes I have. I ordered the boot version too. Caveat: I wear orthotics, so your impressions may be different from mine.

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. The suede is a nice soft material and the heel material is very soft too. I was able to loosen the laces in the front on my bad foot which is helping with my injury. The laces seem a little thin and on the short side but they stay put and one tie is good enough to keep them from coming undone. Very lightweight overall and stability is accomplished by the excellent design. I’m not sure I would take these in place of boots on rough terrain but it feels like a great shoe for light walks when you still want the best traction possible. I also appreciate the toe guard for added protection. I hope Asolo makes more shoes like this in the future because who wants to wear boots all the time? First of all, not made in China! These are high quality comfortable shoes that do everything that is claimed by Asolo. I now own four pair and would wear nothing else.

I bought them for my husband. He loves them, says they are very comfortable. The rifle green color is awesome.

Great fit — the full lace-up allows for plenty of flexibility for fit. Plus, these shoes last forever.

My 3rd pair of Asolos in the last 6 months. I've had plenty of pairs of Ecco, Keen, and Merrell, but these Asolos are like wearing comfy slippers that have excellent traction, support and weatherability. More than likely, I'll be ordering a pair of Corax GV's in September for winter use. I'm a 74 yr. old, very active, nature photographer.

Fit great, good looking. Well made, A little pricey but seems worth it.

I have several Asolo trail shoes. They are, all, supportive and strong in quality.

Fit Great fit & width. It is alway hard for me to find shoes as I wear a size 14 and being 6"4" and weighting in at 275 Lbs. . Zappos has the Size & Style I need. This time I replaced my walking/workout sneakers with these as I have a Asolo Hiking Boots. I love the Asolo Hiking Boot, now I will replace these with same for walking/workout and general around town and house shoe. I did put in a better arch support in but I do that on all shoes I purchase.

I have worn this shoe for about a year, I like the shoe, it has held up very well, still looking like new. The size is accurate but the shoe is kind of narrow for my 11.5 medium foot. It defiantly keeps my feet dry.

I bought these shoes for a 6 week trip to the Big Island of Hawaii. Out of the box, I wore them day one on a 7 mile hike mostly over sharp lava rocks. They were fantastic. No blisters, comfortable and water proof! I’ve worn them every day on every kind of hike available on the island. They are great shoes and continue to look good enough for a dinner outing in the evening! Worth every penny. For arch support, I have my own inserts and trimmed to fit.

Asolo shoes are always true to size and require very little break-in period. Great for walking a trail or kicking around the town and they look good with shorts, jeans or khakis!

Great fit and style

Great shoes for walking and hiking. Found them Thanks to Zappos. Lightweight and waterproof. Vibram sole thats not too thick or clunky. Fit well. Look nice. See you on the Road.

Comfortable and well made. Unfortunately the tongue digs into the front of my ankle a little. Still worth taking a look at.

These are handsome, well-made shoes. Not sure I'd use as a heavy-duty hiking/approach shoe, see these more as light hikers also suitable for city walking. I am an 11.5 in almost all shoes, and the 11.5 fits fine, with the proviso that there seems to be more room in the heel than other hiking/approach shoes I've worn. I noticed my heel lifting a bit in one shoe, does not feel as securely snug as my Scarpa Zen Pros or Mojitos. The last seems wider than either of those shoes. On the plus side, there is plenty of room for a replacement insole, which I like to use. The shoes were comfortable on the first 4-mile walk, and I think the slight heel lift will diminish as the shoes get broken in.

They fit great out of the box. I was concerned about packing out and being too big but there is lots of room in the laces to take up. Laces do seem thin and worry about them in the future but are fine now. Soles look awesome. My last pair Asolo's lasted a long time without incident.
